Big Family Beach House with Beautiful Water Views Steps from the Ocean & the Bay

We fell in love with this house because we knew it was big enough for us to comfortably fit our whole family or groups of close friends to come join us at the shore to make some memories!

In 2026, we completed a full renovation of the master bathroom and purchased two new Pottery Barn sofas in the family room.

This large bay side house is 2 houses from ocean with lots of room to spread out. Take in the water views from the living room, bayside porch, rooftop deck and master bedroom in the family-friendly North Beach area. This reversed-living house was designed for multi-family dwelling with 2 FULL kitchens, 2 living room areas, 2 covered porches and 8 bedrooms. Just a 2 minute walk to private ocean access shared with our neighbors to a life-guarded beach. Watch the sunrise from the beach side deck; the sunset from the bay side deck. Or enjoy it all from the hot tub in the rooftop deck that features panoramic views.

The house sleeps 18 in beds. There is: a master suite with 1 king bed and sofa; 5 bedrooms with queen beds; 1 bedroom with twin beds on the main living area next to a full bath; 1 bedroom with 2 bunk beds and a trundle. 6 full bathrooms in all. The master has its own large sitting area and an en suite bathroom that is currently being renovated for spring 2026 with walk-in shower and makeup area.

Enjoy the two outdoor showers when you come back from a great day at the beach. House has 2 sets of washers and dryers. Relax in the Adirondack chairs on the side patio while grilling up dinner. We can fit 18 outside on the porch for dinner overlooking the bay.

There are pocket doors that can be closed to separate the 2 sides of the house for privacy or to reduce noise from one side to the other. Although you have to enter the house through the same door, once inside, if you'd like to, you can live somewhat separately. (We like to put the kids on one side of the house.)Each side of the house has a full kitchen, washer/dryer, living room, covered porch, 4 bedrooms, and 3 full bathrooms.

There are lots of bikes, ride-on toys for toddlers, beach chairs, sand toys, 3 umbrellas, corn hole, and a bocce set. Renters are required to bring their own sheets and towels.

We have a private access to the beach and it is across the street just 2 houses. Thankfully, our beach has a lifeguard. We love that even in the peak of summer, it never feels crowded. There is also a lovely bay beach with no waves and a lifeguard about a mile and a half up the road with parking.

We are sandwiched between Surf City and Harvey Cedars so there are plenty of places within 2 miles to eat or shop. Sunset park is about 12 blocks away and has a playground, basketball, tennis and pickle ball courts.
