Casalita Rosalita at The River Rose Retreat

In May you may be lucky to spot beautiful pink roses growing on the dam - out of the reach of hungry deer. One day an elderly woman greeted my friend at the creek, explaining that she had grown up there, swimming and playing on hot summer days, long before any of us discovered this paradise. She explained that her father had planted those roses, some ninety years previous, in the perfect spot apparently as they are thriving there today. We named this special place after her and her daddy's roses, so named The River Rose Retreat, where you and yours can drink in the unique and restorative smells, sounds, and eye candy, the absolute best of the Texas hill country.

This beautifully hand designed property depicts why we all love the Texas hill country. Multi leveled decks, porches a plenty and paths/benches/walls that are intricately hand lain with local rocks. Its such a delight to explore this unique property.

We are right on the seasonal Lone Man Creek for a beautiful view of both water and sky. Martha's unique artistic touches make staying here a true delight. We have creek views, access and a dammed private swimming hole.

Well behaved/leashed dogs welcome. We have a $50 pet fee. The size of this home makes it only appropriate for one dog unless an exception is made with the owner.

Located centrally in Wimberley between Austin and San Antonio and close to many hill country destinations.

We have reliable wifi but most cell carriers do not get coverage on the property. We have a satellite "land line" to make calls.

This property has 2 houses, a casalita, add on bunk house with bed and mini fridge available for rent. This listing is for the apartment which sleeps 2. You could fit up to 15 people with privacy for all the couples if the rent the whole property.

We do have three rentals on the property. They all have their own privacy and outdoor sitting areas. They are lined along the waterway so all have creek views. We do not allow fishing of any kind not even catch and release.
