Our fully furnished 2 bedroom cottage is nestled under the beautiful live oaks on the Jonas Ranch. A tranquil setting close to Guadalupe River for tubing, Fishing or Boating at Canyon Lake, Wimberley Market Days or swimming at the Blue Hole. 15 minute drive to Historic Gruene, New Braunfels, Canyon Lake, and San Marcos. 30 minutes to Blanco and 45 minutes to Luckenbach and Fredericksburg. Bring your friendly dog to stay!!!

This is such a beautiful place, tucked away in the hill country. Spacious home, kennel for your pups when you leave. The kennel is air-conditioned with access to a private part of the yard for your pups to play while you're away. Super quiet, you truly feel like you're in your own private world. Highly recommend and the owner is an absolute sweetheart

Very cozy beautiful home. Dogs had plenty of space to roam around outside. Great location to multiple areas of the hill country. The house was decorated Extremely well. Front yard and sitting area was beautiful. Would highly recommend it to everyone.

Great place, great location!

This was our second time to stay here with our small family and little dog. Centrally located between San Marcos, New Braunfels, and Wimberly. Great place, Great location!

This was the most extraordinary stay. Ollie’s cottage was immaculate, cute, and expertly designed and built for a safe and fun stay with your dog. Parking is almost unlimited, check in super easy and communication with host couldn’t be beat. Hard to believe that a cottage that welcomes dogs has no dog odor at all!!! So many fun things to do within very short driving distance: Wimberly, New Braunfels, Fredericksburg, etc. New Braunfels had one of the best off leash dog parks I have ever been to: Puppy Playland. We will DEFINITELY be coming back.

Super clean, nicely decorated, and well appointed!

This place was perfect for us 4 adults and our dog. Not only did we love it but Hazel (dog) did too! We loved the outside patio as well.

Great, clean cottage

This property is a cute, quiet place to stay in the middle of New Braunfels and San Marcos. It was immaculately clean and beds were comfortable and had plenty of private parking. Highly recommend!

Great Spot!@

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was very comfortable and perfect for our fur baby. She had the whole yard to herself and we did also. The location was perfect to get to Wimberly and New Braunfels We would definitely stay again in the future.

3 dogs and a wedding

Beautiful cottage, wonderful hosts and PERFECT for your fur babies. We had a weekend celebration for a wedding and Ollie’s cottage was safe and comfortable for our dogs and us

Ollie’s Cottage

We had a great stay. The property was well maintained and located in a nice hill country setting. The owner also went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. Being very pet friendly was also a big plus. We would definitely go back.

Awesome little cottage

This was just the right size for our family of 4 and our 2 medium size dogs! We will definitely stay again next time we are out this way. Lisa is so sweet and helpful. Overall it was a great experience.

Ollie's Cottage was wonderful VERY dog friendly!

Ollie's Cottage was wonderful and on beautiful property. The owners were awesome, we couldn't get out of the cottage one morning because of the heavy rains in Wimberly and they brought us a fabulous lunch, so thoughtful. It is a perfect getaway especially if you want to have your pet with you. Plenty of room for the dog to roam around outside in a fenced in yard.

Accommodations for Dogs

Absolutely amazing. The set up is perfect and I felt safe to leave my pets behind to go into to town. The cottage is perfect for 5 to sleep. Set up with furniture and kitchen, coffee bar all is fantastic. I’ll definitely be renting here again 😊

Hill Country Paradise

Our hosts were so wonderful and gave us all the info we needed in advance. The shade and outdoor environment is super. They welcomed our 2 small dogs and were very reasonable with providing for the dogs' safety and keeping the property sparkling clean.

Perfect!

Absolutely wonderful stay! We sat outside under the trees from sun-up to sun-down talking, reading, and enjoying the beautiful weather. The dogs were free to roam and sniff. Everything was just right - the beds were comfortable, the indoor/outdoor run gave my dogs a safe place to go out after dark without me. Loved everything about this place!

Perfect!!

We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO! The home was not only family-friendly but also pet-friendly, which was a huge plus for us. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed, and everything was set up perfectly for our needs. The beautiful and clean environment added to the overall enjoyment of our stay. It was the ideal accommodation for attending a wedding in town. Highly recommend!

Quick Trip to the Hill Country

Awesome property. It was very clean with wonderful attention to detail from the property managers. Communication was quick and check in was seamless. We stayed with our Golden Retriever who is a bit spoiled and does not travel well. She was very comfortable here. The location is great, Quiet yet still close enough to everything. Would definitely stay again.

Super Property!

Absolutely accurate descriptions and reviews for this property! It is a gem!! We travelled with 2 dogs, and they were enclosed safely in both the front and back of the property when they were outside. They house is clean, adorable, and very quiet. The owners/property managers are so very kind. Perfect stay.

4th of july weekend

The space was so nice and relaxing. Our doggy is a rescue, so he is a little nervous getting out and about. This is his first trip with us. And he did fantastic here, the space is so convenient and made for a easy getaway. The owners were very helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had.

Relaxing getaway

We enjoyed our stay It was great for privacy. All of the supplies needed were adequate.The space for our dog to run was fine We did have problems with the barndoor to bathroom. It would not stay open when not in use. We had to prop it open

Wonderful experience staying at Ollie's resort. The dogs had their own pet hotel area too! The owner did great at checking in with us to make sure we arrived ok and even let us check in early at no cost. She brought over coffee filters when needed. the place was super clean and well stocked and we loved all the eclectic furniture and attention to details. If I had to recommend something I would say that additional mirrors in the bedrooms would be helpful, because there is only one bathroom and one mirror in the entire house. other than that, it was amazing and I will definitely book again.

Property was amazing! Great for dogs

We really enjoyed our time at Ollie’s cottage. Everything was immaculate. Great bedding and towels. Far exceeded our expectations. The dog kennel and turnout was so clean as well. Our dog came with us on most excursions, but when we went for dinner we used the kennel. It was so nice knowing he was safe and happy. Close to Wimberely. We loved the hiking trails at blue hole and Purgatory. We will definitely stay again.

Elroy Jonas (Opa/Papa) was born and raised in Canyon Lake/Fischer, Texas. Back in the days, he and his family lived on his Great Opa's homestead plantation raising crops and livestock. After months of rain, the family was forced to find another location to live on so the Canyon Lake Dam could be built. Till this day, papa's homestead is under water at Canyon Lake. Today, the Jonas Ranch off Purgatory Road (est 1940s) is 5th generation!

The Jonas Ranch was purchased in the early 1940s and still holds natural wildlife and many breeds of sheep. Spring fed water runs through Purgatory Creek on the ranch and part of the ranch includes the Devils Backbone with breathtaking views from at top.
