The kitchen area is equipped with a full size refrigerator , induction cook top, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, pots, pans and cooking utensils. Conveniently located right across the road from Starlight Beach and the new public splash park. Centrally located close to shopping , bike path, restaurants, movie theaters, boat harbor and downtown.

Cute place, great location, everything we needed

This property exceeded our expectations. It has been fully renovated and felt welcoming. Our family of 5 had plenty of room with the 2 queen beds and 1 pull out couch. They provided bath and beach towels, a few pots and pans, dishes, silverware and more. The location is perfect with the beach, splash pad, mini golf and farmers market all all nearby.

Great location near the beach in Alpena

This property is in a great location, close to the beach and downtown. Recently updated and a very nice space. Plenty of room for us to hang out and relax. The full size fridge is an awesome plus.

Great Location, great beach vibe and very clean.

Clean, nicely renovated motel property with owner/operator living onsite. Quiet and comfortable. Lovely accommodations for a visit to the Michigan coast. Kris is a wonderful hostess.

Perfect location

We truly enjoyed this property. Property was located in a great part of Alpena, right across from Lake Huron. Kris is kind. The facility was clean. We will book this again in the future. Thanks for a great stay😀

The location was great, across from Starlite Beach, 5 to 10 minutes to activity sites and parks. loved the 'beachy decor' in the suite. Kris was nice. Suite was in a motel setting, not what we were expecting. Limited cooking for a family.

Perfect little getaway

This motel was amazing. The owner is very friendly. She keeps her motel extremely clean. The beach is right across the street, which is a plus. Definitely will be coming back.

Excellent location!

The 40 Winks was cozy, clean, & convenient to everything in Alpena. Kristen, our host, was excellent with her communication. We walked to the Alpena Farmers Market. We strolled along the shores of Lake Huron (literally across the street!) We would not hesitate returning to 40 Winks when we return to Alpena in the future.

The room was very nice. Kris did a wonderful job decorating the place to make it very warm and beachy. It’s right across the road from the beach. We also enjoyed two free concerts just down the road.

Perfect Getaway

Property was perfect for a long weekend getaway. Comfortable beds, very clean and newer remodel unit - great to be able to prepare meals or walk to nearby restaurants - easy access to beach, downtown, bike trails and so much more the area has to offer.

Weekend getaway

My husband and I had a great stay at this property. The renovations give a perfect relaxing beach feel. The property was very clean and quiet. It was a perfect weekend getaway for my husband and I. We would definitely stay here again. It would be a great place for kids too because the beach and a playground are right across the street.

This was a fantastic rental and the location was great! Great communication with the owners. Comfy and cozy and a quick walk to the beach, splash pad, park, and Farmer’s Market. We were able to cook our meals with ease. We felt very safe staying here during the pandemic and so it was easy to let go of worries and relax! We can’t wait to come back!

Great place!

Kristine was extremely helpful and a great host. The beds we're very comfortable and the place was cozy. We loved the fans especially for white noise at night. If we had any requests we would of loved a couple bottled waters in the fridge especially after a long day of travel. Thank you again Kristin for your hospitality! Can't wait to return....

A beautiful suite!

We were pleasantly surprised by the accommodations (it was a last minute booking and we didn't do as much research as we usually would). The suite had a cute beachy theme and it was very clean. My only complaint is that the beds aren't very comfortable.

LOVED IT!!!

The location was perfect! Right across the street from the lake/beach, a large playground, a splash pad, arcade and putt-putt. Close to restaurants and shopping. Kristine was an absolute delight to interact with and met any questions or needs we had with an immediate reply. I would absolutely return!
