Wonderful Home Base for KeyWest Vacation

We wanted a trip to KeyWest but wanted to stay away from the downtown area. This was located 35 min from Duval street and was perfect for us. We had breakfast at “Morning Joint” 5 days in a row. Used the provided bikes and kayaks. We traveled towards Miami to explore nature walks and the local scenery North on route 1. Traveled to KeyWest to check out Duval Street and to do activities in the historic district. Overall it was a great place to stay and we had a wonderful time.

Great spot in The Keys!

This home was well set up and clean! We had everything we needed for a family of 5. We had rainy weather while there but that didn't stop my 14 year old from spending the whole time fishing in the canal! Great communication leading up to the stay as well as during when an outlet wasn't working. We really enjoyed having the bikes to get around the property. Too windy to use the kayaks but we would have loved having those available if the weather had cooperated. Easy check out and communication again was clear and timely.

Perfect for fishing and lobstering

We enjoyed our stay. Venture Out is the most convenient place to launch your boat and store your trailer which is hard to find in the Keys. Safe neighborhood. Convenient location to grocery stores, restaurants and Key West. House has everything you need. Owners are very communicative. Will definitely stay again!!

First Time in the Keys

Everything as advertised, only downside was having to procure off site parking for a second vehicle, while there was ample space at the rental property.

Great get away

We stayed 2 nights and had the most relaxing time. The bikes were a great way to see Venture Out area and go see the sunrise by the boat launch. The house was as pictured and comfortable. We did have a couple of minor issues that the owners were quick to respond. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Stay & Location

We really enjoyed our stay at Janet & Jerrys home! The location was great to go up and down the island and see it all. The house was in a great location beautiful views on the water with bikes and kayaks.The amenities in the community were great and people were so friendly. Jerry and janet were super great in responding in a few minutes with any questions we had. We will be back !!!

Lobster Season week one

Wonderfully equipped, extremely clean, perfectly located. We used the outdoor shower because the water pressure indoors was insufficient for showering or washing dishes.

Very nice place

Great place to stay. We were there during mini lobster season and had a blast. Security a bit over bearing but tolerable. Owners very good with communication and would recommend this place to anyone. Thanks again

Family trip

We had an awesome time. Great set up to bring your boat and clean it up afterwards. The water wasn’t as pretty as usual but no fault of theirs. Would use it again. Thank you for opening your house to us.

Mehr oder weniger ok!

Um es vorwegzunehmen: Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt bei diesem Objekt nicht! Das Häuschen liegt in einer Gated Community, bestehend aus Wohnwagen und Häuschen. Das muss man mögen. Es gibt keinen Abstand zu den Nachbarn. Neben dem Haus steht ein großer Trailer, dessen Klimaanlage 24 Stunden geröhrt hat, obwohl niemand da war. Die zentrale Poolanlage ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen, wir haben sie nicht benutzt. Der Kanal zum Meer, an dem das Haus liegt, transportiert bei Ebbe alles mögliche hinaus. Bei Flut sieht das Wasser sauber aus. Die im Obergeschoss liegende Wohnung - unten steht das Auto - ist sauber und funktionell, allerdings darf man nicht zu genau hinschauen. Die Küchenmöbel halten dem Klima wohl nicht stand. Alle E-Geräte sind einwandfrei. Handtücher und Bettwäsche sind gut. Es fehlen Sonnenschirme und Stühle/Liegen für den Strandbesuch, was man bei dieser Preiskategorie unbedingt erwarten kann. Der Grill sieht schlecht aus, auch den haben wir besser nicht benutzt. Die Lage von Cudjoe Key hat uns zur Buchung verleitet, da die Entfernung nach Key West und zu den Stränden im Bahia Honda State Park und Marathon Key akzeptabel ist.

Great Place

The view is incredible. We used the kayak and bikes every day. The community pool/hot tub are perfect. I would recommend this house.

Totally enjoyed our stay. House was clean and neat. Both beds were super comfortable and the sheets were soft and smooth. Loved watching the sunrise every morning on the porch. Some stemware would have been nice...wine glasses etc. Overall it was a wonderful trip!

Fun Time

This property ticked all the boxes for my family. We enjoyed the amenities at Venture Out, kids loved the pool. The kitchen sink needs a little tweek to help with water pressure, but this did not impact our stay. Overall was a great stay and the property served us well as a base of operations for our visiting the Florida Keys!

The property was a bit tired. Stains on the bedroom drawers, paint needed in several places, a water leak coming from the garage ceiling, faucet in the kitchen didn’t work well. Close to Key West.

Nice gated semi-retirement community

Friendly staff and residents and a great location with many wonderful places to eat and nearby grocery store. Especially enjoyed the bikes provided at our residence and the morning water aerobics in the community heated pool. Also enjoyed the Sunday church service and although we did not make use of, they have a nice pickleball and tennis court. The house could use some updates and minor repairs, put over all was a nice place that met our needs. Beds were very comfortable, but the water pressure at the kitchen faucet was barely a trickle and the shower pressure was not much better.
