The house is very convenient to walk to grocery stores, parks and gas stations. We could go out and come back to a very comfortable cool home. I grew up in Charles City, so I don't get back that often. Love coming back home.

This home is a fun older home that has lots of spaces and feels like a home. Everything was very clean and ready on our arrival. The beds are a bit softer than we like, but I had very restful sleep, so not complaining. The bathroom upstairs is huge, probably a room that was converted to a bathroom, but very modern. The driveway will actually hold 3 cars if you need. The entrance was easy to use and get into. The sitting rooms downstairs and upstairs are awesome and was a great way to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. The only complaint would be the 5th room is a living room with a pull-out couch that worked for our group but does not have a door you can close for privacy. All in all, we would rent again if traveling in that area. Food and grocery just a couple blocks from house. Plenty to do in the area.

The Charles City Guest house

This property was very clean, well appointed and close to grocery stores and restaurants. We will definitely stay here again when we are in Charles City.

Great place to stay!

Place was very clean and suited our family vacation perfectly. The proximity to the cedar River was ideal for our family, allowing people to walk to the grocery store or to the whitewater park. The house itself has several nice bedrooms and the bathrooms were very clean and spacious. There was even a toy room in one of the sunrooms that our little kids loved to play in. Would highly recommend!

The house was very nice but dark. Not all the blinds open to let the light in. We spent a lot of time out on the patio. The weather was so beautiful. The yard had not had the leaves picked up from last fall yet. The neighbors had beautiful flower beds. The beds are soft very very soft. The home was perfect for our gathering spot for the family wedding. The kids were happy to see a box of toys!!!!

Charles Guesthouse

Was pleasantly surprised on the size and homey atmosphere of the house. The host was easy to work with and we enjoyed our visit. Would recommend.

Excellent accomodations

Nice place to stay and very comfortable. Enjoyed using the charcoal grill and having a comfortable living room space for adults to visit while others could play games in room with TV. Would recommend this place if you are in the Charles City area.

Very nice property and well supplied. Busy street on one side of street was concern if you have young children. But overall had a very pleasant stay.

We 5 friends mostly hung out at the house playing games, visiting, praying, sharing faith stories and eating good food. It was a wonderful setting to do all that. We enjoyed eating out one evening, taking a walk along the river, and shopping one afternoon. We like to find thrift stores wherever we go and Charles City had 2 that we visited.

We were in town for a family reunion. The house was clean and had everything we needed. We have extended family in Charles City and hope to stay again soon!!
