My husband and I enjoyed our stay. There were other properties around but we barely noticed. It was quiet and beautiful. We enjoyed kayaking on the river and soaking in the hot tub. Everything we needed was there. Visited Nashua for lunch and stopped in some stores. Would definitely stay there again.

We had a nice relaxing getaway. My sister and I wanted a quiet weekend to catch up and relax and we found just that. The weather was too hot for the hot tub. We tried it out briefly our first night, but the next day was very hot. We used the lily pad to float in the river for a little bit. There was a rip in it, but it still worked. We enjoyed the puzzles and we were able to log into our Netflix for the night. Very peaceful and cozy.

I use VRBO religiously. I do not normally leave reviews but here we are. This rental is by far one of the best experiences. The check-in process was very good. Drew and Maggie were excellent hosts and easy to communicate with. The rental was fully stocked with everything you need! The kitchen had everything you need to cook meals, utensils, glasses, sippies, wine glasses. The living room was spacious and had many DVDs. The location comes with internet which is Starlink and we had no issues, even during the storms. We were not able to use the canoes or kayaks due to the weather but not the renter's fault. The shed had life jackets, fishing poles, grill, and so much more. The hot tub was clean and smelled nice and the floating dock was outstanding. In town you have a Kwik Star gas station and if you are looking to grocery shop, I would recommend Charles City which is just about 9 miles away. We stayed for 5 nights and were so relaxed and happy to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary at this location. We will definitely be back soon!!

We came up for an evening getaway without the kids, hoping for some quiet relaxation, and that’s exactly what we got. The cabin had everything we needed. It was nice having the canoes and kayaks available which we took full advantage of. She read a book outside by the fire pit and we enjoyed the hot tub later in the evening. This cabin had everything covered. We’ve already talked about coming back.

This place was amazing! I loved the setting near the river. The listing was very accurate and the attention to detail was superb. They had things like Kleenex boxes strategically placed and a fly swatter; gentle seemingly small touches that made it feel more like a home. Their beach towels were SUPER HUGE and the clean and uncluttered reality of the space was wonderful. I loved the deck and the patio. The kayaking was superb. The owners were very friendly and understanding. We had a canoe seat break when all we did was sit down. I was worried they would be unreasonable and charge us for that but they acknowledged the difference between stupidity and wear and tear and told us not to worry about it. The hot tub was so clean and felt amazing after a long evening kayak. We were encouraged and refreshed by this scenic getaway.

The cabin was so clean and inviting.
This was a favorite spot. Much time was spent here.

Great location for outdoor adventures

This is the perfect place to stay if you love spending time outdoors...kayaking, biking, sitting by the fire and in the hot tub. It's very quiet and the stars are amazing. The dryer did not work and the owner apologized. We also struggled getting the jets to work in the hot tub and gave up but it was still very nice.
