With a beautiful view of Lake Arenal, our LakeGardens cute villas have so much to offer! The house itself is set within large gardens in a small, safe gated community overlooking the mystical Lake Arenal. The property is tropically landscaped and there are many exotic tropical plants . These make it a perfect place for bird and wildlife watching.

Fully equipped VILLAS, full size kitchen, large pool, beautiful gardens, lake views. Located between two volcanoes, Arenal and Tenorio and by 30 kilometers long freshwater lake. Small, intimate complex of five villas, family atmosphere. Very relaxing, surrounded by the nature.

Perfect for our small family of three. We enjoyed the pool and a breakfast on our lanai. Lake Gardens was the perfect location between the Liberia airport, La Fortuna and a day trip we took to the Rio Celeste. Several restaurants and shops in town made this location ideal for our four night stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely-Must Stay

The room service is impeccable and the view is gorgeous. Have some fresh Italian cuisine while enjoying sunset at the pool or on your private porch. Highly recommend going to the Butterfly Conservatory near Arenal. Thank you Marcela for your wonderful hospitality!

Beautiful place!

Really lovely gardens. We loved watching birds in the mornings. The host was very kind and responsive. Laundry service was included. Located between Arenal and Tenorio Volcanoes in a less touristy area than La Fortuna, which we really liked.

Great host

Marcela is a great host who will help in any way she can. It is magical here. It is located centrally if you wish all the adventures in this area. The cottages are minimally appointed. However, good meals are available on site.

Absolutely wonderful

The property is cared for well maintained and beautiful. The view is excellent. We have enjoyed the sunset many evenings. Very quiet and private. The family is extremely helpful and kind. Very close to lake arenal and the park. Great restaurants and bakery nearby. We have enjoyed our time there immensely. Highly recommend.

This property was away from the crowds, tranquil, with incredibly beautiful scenery. The cottage was in new condition. Of note: there was no air conditioning if this is important to anyone in your party.

You will want to move here

Such a beautiful property and view. We loved having breakfast ready each morning and sitting on the veranda enjoying the sound of birds and distant cows, monkeys and chickens. So many great spots to visit nearby too. Marcella the host provides driving directions to everything and is such a nice person. We felt right at home and hope to return. The temperature there in early January was perfect- 70’s and very comfortable at night.

Quiet Villa, Beautiful Views

The villa was fantastic and had a great view of the lake and hillside. We found it to be clean and modern with plenty of room. We spent every morning on our private patio and planned our day. While watching all the birds and wildlife. Service was perfect, we ordered food a few times and it was not only yummy and fresh but also brought right to our front door very promptly. Everyone was friendly and accommodating.

Cozy With Amazing View!

Our family of 4 truly enjoyed staying at this property. Stand-alone villa with all conveniences needed to cook. Great, elevated views of Lake Arenal and lovely grounds. Morning coffee on the lounge chairs on the front patio while bird-watching. Doesn’t get much better 😊. Marcela was a great host and super-responsive. She helped us with many ideas for local activities along with personal recommendations. All around great!

Too much noise banging outside at night. It sounded like tin on the roof loose. We don’t really know, but it kept us awake. Shower water was only ever luke warm and it didn’t matter which time of the day we took a shower.

A slice of heaven outside our door

The property is amazing, gorgeous, and there were new delights every day. Plus, Marcela has a custom 'map' of activities and sights in each bungalow. She and her family were very responsive and helpful. The birds and critters that visit are better entertainment than any nature TV show! Sadly, we did not experience howler monkeys (one showed up right after we left - bummer) but we had wild turkeys - and brightly colored birds of every size and shape. And, her on site food service is great!

Great hosts, Really nice property

Communication with Marcela was great, and she graciously met us onsite when we arrived after dark. The property is beautiful, our villa was perfect, the pool is very clean and refreshing, and we had wonderful meals delivered right to our door so we could sit on the veranda. The location right near Lake Arenal was beautiful, unfortunately (and this was our fault) it was further away than we would have liked from the locations where we had activities planned. I would definitely stay here again if I was planning activities near the north end of the lake.

Beautiful property and updated touches

Villa Gardens is like staying in midst of a tropical garden. Marcela and her family personally take care to make sure you have anything you need including providing multiple local recommendations. I’m a digital nomad and the Wi-Fi in unit 2 was more than capable for video calls. If you want a lake view make sure to ask which units have those. But the garden units are truly beautiful as well. Morris the cat even hung out with me on my patio everyday.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour à Nuevo Arenal. C'était un parfait point de départ pour une excursion au volcan Tenorio et une excursion aux abords du volcan Arenal. Le village est très sympathique et beaucoup moins touristique que La Fortuna, ce qui nous a bien plu. Le cadre est absolument enchanteur à Lake Gardens et la vue sur le lac Arenal est magnifique. Marcela nous a chaleureusement accueillis (via Whatsapp) et a toujours été disponible pour répondre à nos questions et nous faire des suggestions pertinentes. Nous recommandons chaleureusement!
