Welcome to the beautiful Sonoran Desert.

Perfectly located in Cave Creek, this Santa Barbara inspired home sits on 1¼ private acres at the end of a quiet cul de sac, just minutes from downtown Cave Creek and Carefree. Enjoy world class golf, shopping, and dining in North Scottsdale by day, then return to Cave Creek for live music, barbecue, and a little two steppin’ at night.

Or start your morning with coffee and a book on the covered patio, listening to the waterfall. Maybe head out for a sunrise hike in the Black Mountains. Then end the day under the stars with a glass of wine and s’mores by the outdoor fire pit.

The home offers 2,200 square feet of living space, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a dedicated office. Both bedrooms feature king beds with premium mattresses and high-quality bedding and are positioned on opposite sides of the home for added privacy. Custom Saltillo tile floors, high end furnishings, lots of natural light, and thoughtful design give the home a warm, refined feel, with plenty of room to breathe and feel at home.

Whether you’re visiting for a long weekend or an extended stay, the home is thoughtfully equipped for an easy, relaxing visit. The well-appointed kitchen, dedicated office, reliable Wi-Fi, and spacious layout make it equally suited for unwinding, working remotely, or simply enjoying time here.

A large portion of the 1¼ acre property is fenced, giving four-legged guests plenty of room to stretch their legs.

There is also ample room for RV, boat, or horse trailer parking, along with an RV electrical hookup. For extended stays, housekeeping can be arranged. A one-time pet fee applies to each animal for all stays.

Approximately five minutes from downtown Cave Creek, Carefree, and The Boulders Resort & Spa, with easy access to North Scottsdale, golf, hiking, dining, shopping, and WestWorld.

Great Spot

Saundra’s house was a perfect arrangement for us and our two dogs. The location is excellent and the house is lovely. We would definitely stay again.

Very Comfortable and Quiet Stay

The home was clean and comfortable. Would stay there again. The only thing I might improve upon would be better frying pans.

Winter in Cave Creek

We loved Saundra’s property…a perfect for us. Well located, comfortable, lots of bird life, close to many of our favorite hikes and restaurants. A delightful place to welcome friends and family.

Incredibly comfortable home. Kind and attentive host. Most well furnished kitchen we have had in the 20 years we've been VRBOing. Also best sunsets and sunrises of any place we've been. Highly recommend.

A very special home!

We spent about 2 weeks at this home - 1 week or vacation and 1 remote work. The house is lovely - comfortable, well appointed and the art is amazing! Nice private location that is also really close to golf, dining, shopping, etc. Andthe sunsets from the patio are perfection!

Saundra's home was beautiful and in a very quiet, peaceful neighborhood. It was only about 5-10 minutes from grocery stores, restaurants, and gas stations and an easy 20-25 minute drive to the Mayo Clinic in North Phoenix. It's also about 20 minutes from the Musical Instrument Museum, which is a must-see!The house was very clean, the kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, utensils, dishes, a toaster and microwave, and a Keurig coffee maker, the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, and we were happy to have use of the garage even though it wasn't terribly hot yet in April.Our two small dogs loved the multiple giant dog beds around the house. The yard is huge with a lot of native vegetation, but since our dogs aren't used to cacti and other spiky desert plants, we didn't let them roam free. However, we found a nice park about 10 minutes away where we walked them every day.Saundra was very responsive to our questions and needs from the very start and throughout our stay - the perfect host! We would definitely recommend Saundra's lovely home!

Fantastic Cave Creek Desert Escape

Picture-perfect desert getaway property. Nicely remodeled "Santa Barbara-style" home with large property that makes it feel very private- very nice indoor and outdoor spaces. Very convenient location for all Cave Creek, Carefree and N. Scottsdale as to offer. Owner was extremely helpful and responsive.

Stunning Desert Retreat

This home was the perfect desert escape. The house was very well stocked and had comfortable, modern and stylish decor. The patio was amazing, the perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful desert sunset. Beautiful Property Near Cave Creek

We had a wonderful stay at this home! The outdoor seating area was cool and inviting each morning and afternoon. The Master Guest beds were super comfy with nice linens. The office pull-out however, was very cramped and uncomfortable so this is really a 2 bedroom home. We enjoyed walking the neighborhood and it's convenience to hiking trails in Cave Creek (<10 minute drive). Lots of restaurants and amenities nearby including the Boulders resort. We would definitely go back!

It is really intended for an extra guest to be able to stay maybe 1-2 nights tops. For this reason , I do have the home listed as a two bedroom with King beds in each room. Hope to host you again!

Stunning and welcoming.

This is a beautiful Santa Barbara home and a lovely host. We initially booked for 2 weeks and landed up staying close to 3.5. We highly recommend this home- it was beautifully decorated, lots of interesting art, and the perfect home away from home. Our two small dogs loved exploring in the yard, which is massive by the way. There’s a wonderful sitting area under cover where you can listen to the fountain and stare at the stars at night. (We were luck enough to see a rocket take off). Thank you for being a true Super Host!

Perfect stay in Cave Creek

We come to Az every winter to enjoy the warmer temps, golf, hiking and great food. We chose Saundra's beautiful home in Cave Creek as our home base this year, and it didn't disappoint. The home had everything we needed to feel comfortable and right at home. Very well set up for two couples to enjoy time together yet have very separate spaces to go off to for time alone. Very comfortable beds and bedding, plenty of rooms with ample space to watch TV or enjoy calming outdoor time in the serene yard. Cave Creek is a wonderful little town, central to both Scottsdale and Sedona, where there is great golf and hiking all around. Plenty to see and do, and we will surely contact Saundra again to arrange to stay at her beautiful place when we do!

Gorgeous place!

My mom wanted to visit Arizona for her 82nd birthday. We choose this property for the look of the house, property and surroundings. I have to admit, I don’t typically spend this much on a VRBO, since I generally book them for traveling with staff for conferences. I AM SO GLAD I DID! The place was incredible and there were so many things that Saundra did and provided that none of the other places ever have. For instance, one of the perks of a VRBO is that you can create meals in the kitchen instead of eating out. But of course you don’t want to pack your spice cupboard from home... she had everything we could ask for, PLUS! The kitchen is amazing! The house is beautifully decorated as is the outside sitting area. So well done. Being from Michigan, we aren’t familiar with the popular style of different levels of the floor in AZ houses. There was often a step up or a step down when moving from room to room. Just something to be aware of. Loved the outdoor sitting/picnic/fire pit area and used the grill several times and enjoyed being out in the warm sunshine. Beds were soft, linens were great and a variety of different softness’ of pillows. Plenty of room for visiting and simply hanging out. Saundra was so sweet, she even surprised us with a birthday cake for mom upon arrival! We had an awesome time in a beautiful house!

Relaxing!

We had a wonderful week here! Beautiful sunsets every evening to watch from Saundra’s outside patio. The home was spacious and really appreciated the King size beds in both rooms! Bravo!

FABULOUS stay

Saundra is an exceptional host. We travel all over as a family business and this by far ia one of the BEST places we have stayed. The house is stylishly decorated with a patio amd view to die for......we felt right at home and was extremely comfortable. We highly recommend!!!

AMAZING STAY!

Saundra’s home exceeded our expectations! The location was stunning and within minutes of restaurants and activities in Cave Creek and Scottsdale. The house was beautifully decorated, cozy and perfect for us! It included all amenities and was spotless. We look forward to bringing friends and family to the property in the near future. It truly was a 5 star stay! The owner was a great communicator and kept in touch with us during our entire stay. Highly recommend without reservation!

Sonoran Desert Elegant Retreat

The whole property was well appointed and gracefully done starting with the large lot and gorgeous Sonoran style landscaping. Even though we were in a neighborhood, it felt like we were in the country. I spent hours on the back patio reading books in the comfy furniture and listening to the waterfall and birds. The house felt very private. The interior of the home was so fun to spend time in, it had all of the luxury amenities you would expect. The part that made it special was the way the owner had decoratively put together each room with unique and interesting furnishings. I felt like I was staying in a house from a home and garden magazine. I am an artist so I hate spending time in places that are not aesthetically pleasing and this home did not disappoint. The only thing to be aware of is the floor hight changes, there is a sunken dinning room with two assess points. We loved the area. We rode our bikes on urban parkway trails that started three blocks away from the home. We mountain biked and hiked in multiple Sonoran preserves and parks all with in 15 to 30 minutes away. The area has great food, art, culture, and golf. Our trip was wonderful. the owner was very friendly, assessable and easy to deal with. We would absolutely stay at this property again. - Wendy and Scott
