Original log home in the Smokey Mountains

Original log cabin built in 1860. Very quiet and private. Gorgeous views. Easy access. Makes you feel like your miles from everything, when you are really just about minutes from anything you could want or need all the comforts of home. Very clean. Outdoor fire pit, swing and chairs. Covered porch. Grill (charcoal and gas), 2 bedrooms (queen beds) and 2 1/2 baths. Fully furnished including linens. Several restaurants close by. Lots of places to shop. About 10 minutes from Maggie valley, 15 minutes to catalooche ski resort, 25 minutes to Harrah's casino and 25 minutes to Ashville. 2-night minimum stay required.

Rates are:
$150.00 per night
$900.00 per week
$3,000 monthly

$100.00 CLEANING DEPOSIT DUE AT ARRIVAL. THIS IS REFUNDABLE IF CABIN IS AS CLEAN AS IT WAS UPON ARRIVAL.

The cabin was neat, and clean. Neighbors were very friendly. Loved staying there and hope to stay there again. Located near Maggie Valley, which was very convenient. We all enjoyed our stay.

The host was there to greet us .He is nearby to help with any issues . The cabin is very rustic and authentic to its age I loved all the decor that is very representative of the era the cabin was built . The cabin is well supplied . Mr. Conway is responsive to all questions or issues . Good communication at all times . After the first day , it felt like home .

Beautiful

Wonderful views. Very quaint, cute 1860 log cabin. Visited many surrounding areas with no problems. Enjoyed our stay. However, house is not ADA accessible.

Mini Nats get away.

We had an awesome time and the host is the best ever. The cabin was clean and super cozy. It’s really close to Maggie Valley and everything else to. We will definitely be back next year same place same time.

Really Friendly owner

I hadvto arrive late for check in and Mr. Conway made sure lights were on and the cabin accessible for myself and my son who is autistic. That smooth check in was especially important for him. The cabin is clean with great views from the poarch in a very quiet location. Mr. Conway makes sure that you are welcome and comfortable.

Mr. Conway's Is an Awesome Guy!

When it comes to a good stay, the host it's very important. The communication, the way they makes you feel and the openness of accepting diversity. Mr. Conway is the best thing we met in Waynesville. You can feel a great human being when you meet people like him. Very respectful and polite. The cabin is very cozy and it has everything you need in your stay. We went to Gatlinburg, to the Cherokee Casino, Blue Ridge Parkway and we want to explore more. The firepit night was amazing.

Peaceful and Relaxing

We had a wonderful time. Home was cozy and comfortable. There were 7 in our party and we in no way felt crowded. Kids love the rope outside to pull themselves up the mountain. They had more fun at the cabin than sight seeing. The adults enjoyed the quiet and the view. It was awesome. Owner was very sweet and helpful. Agree with one of the reviews pictures don't do home justice. Nicer in person. I hope to return soon.

No football for the entire weekend!!!

Be sure to bring your own DVD's, games or other entertainment. The USB port did not work and there is no cable or satellite hooked up to the TV. The rabbit ear antenna only got 4 channels and 3 of them were PBS/educational. Although the amenities section indicates cable/satellite it is not hooked up.

I am sorry that this family did not enjoy their weekend because they could not watch football all weekend. However, they booked over a month prior to their reserved dates and made their final payment 3 weeks prior to arrival to ensure they wouldn't lose their reserved weekend. Furthermore they do admit in their review that they were aware that there was no cable or satellite hooked up as stated in the property description. So besides not being able to watch football I am at a lost as to why such a poor review was given. There are several local establishments in the area that are equipped and designed for that reason for the many sports fans in this area. I would have been more then glad to have given them the names and directions to these places if they had asked. We do also provide a small selection of movies and there are 2 working dvd players in the cabin, also the tv downstairs is compatible for gaming stations to be hooked up. I am sorry they didn't enjoy their time here in these beautiful mountains. We will continue to do our best to accommodate any and all visitors the very best we can Sincerely William Conway

Great stay!

This property is exactly what it says it is only better!! Mr . William is an excellent host and was very attentive to our needs and questions! The view from his cabin is amazing and I highly recommend this place! Cabin was very clean and well maintained. I would definately stay here again .

The cabin!

Interesting and unique staying in the log cabin. Off the beaten path, hard to find in the dark. The beds were good, place was warm and inviting. Problems; mouse dropping in the mornings were seen, towels and wash cloths needed replacing, not to clean and the host left something to be desired. Our least favorite of the vrbo’s we stayed,

Log Cabin in the mountains

Very easy to communicate with the owner by phone. We enjoyed our 3 night stay, visited Biltmore Estates and Wheels Through Time while there. Follow GPS to the address but also get explicit directions from Mr Conway. It's a tight squeeze for more than 4 adults. Advise you to bring a blow up mattress for another 2 people.

Quiet and peaceful

The cabin is very charming and clean, lots of antiques. Larger than expected. Four adults were comfortable. Two full size bedrooms upstairs, you have to walk thru one bedroom with a half-bath to get to the other bedroom with a full bath. There is also a full bath downstairs. Mr. Conway was very nice and accommodating. we enjoyed sitting on the porch and talking to him, as we had invited him. Being an older cabin, the bedrooms were not cooling as much as we liked, so he brought us two new fans that really made a difference. The only thing we had to purchase was our own bath soap as that is not included.
