Short stay before heading to Marco

Janice was a good communicator. The 2 bedroom duplex was just what we needed. Clean. Great mattresses. Thank you for the water.

We like staying in the San Carlos neighborhood of Ft. Myers. For the area, the apartment is a great location and price. It’s comfortable with plenty of amenities. Having breakfast and cocktails on the lanai was delightful. The apartment is exactly as pictured and although it could use some upgrades, it was still comfortable. Be aware that the apartment is near the approach pattern for the airport but most aircraft activity occurs during the day. It never bothered us.

Perfect

It was perfect. Our host clearly and regularly communicated with us. Checking in & out was a breeze. It was close to shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores. The home was clean & quiet. I especially loved the screened in back patio - perfect for enjoying our morning coffee and meditation.

Don’t know why I was given a one star. Must been a mistake on his part. I know the place was clean. I cleaned it myself. Specially, when he booked as one guest. Then it happened to be two guests. I was so kind to lower his nightly right as he requested. And went above and beyond that. To not charge him for cleaning fee.

Great location near 75

Had a hard time understand write up of unit. It actually is a 2 bedroom duplex without a garage. Unit was a good price for the area. Happy to have a washer and dryer. Place Clean, nice owners. We done some damage to the bedding and left her know and she helped to find a reasonable replacement.

Deborah and her family spent 14 nights at our duplex. Very nice family. No problems Except for our bed linens. Which Deborah explained and generously paid for a replacement. I would love to host them again.

Well kept kid-friendly home.

We traveled from out of state to visit grandparents in FL. This place provided a great space for my kids and I to overnight at after family day trip outings. The host was very responsive and the home was clean, although an older building. Neighborhood was quiet at night, with the backyard being next to a golf course. The open golf green allowed for some nice sunrise viewing. Screened in porch was a nice hang out spot. Plenty of extra bedding, towels, beach towels, and a pack-n-play in the closets were nice with the kids. As was having a washer and dryer. The parking is a little tight if you have a larger vehicle.

Golf getaway

This was a golf getaway for myself and a friend. For two guys not spending a ton of time in the room..this was perfect. Unit though outdated, was very clean..as advertised...and suited our purpose. Disapointed with no cable..but i understand that is the way the world is now. Lanai has a blocked view of the course...but is pleasant. Linens and bathroom were satisfactory..but small water heater means 2nd hot shower may be brief.

Grossly misrepresented

Spent two days out of fourteen at this listing. For the price per night it was way below our expectations. We expressed our surprise/disappointment to the Owner and got nowhere. We scrambled and found a very nice place for the 12 days remaining in a quiet community for HALF the price. This property does not meet the standards we have come to expect from VRBO.

HOSTS BEWARE! These guests are high maintenance. They left on the third day of 14 days stay. They stated they came from a rental place in Cape Coral. That my place was outdated. That the place they stayed had newer countertops. (Why that Matters). Golf course view was not as advertised. If they only looked at the pictures. Which shows my countertops and view. And read my description. They should have booked elsewhere. I also have strict booking. They wanted a refund. Mark and Marilyn are more suited for an hotel.

Weekend sport event.

This is a nice, clean duplex. We were there for our grand daughter's volleyball tournament, and the location was great. Host was awesome, and place was great.

Family visit

Janice was very responsive. We did have a run in with the sugar ants at this property, but Janice stated she could come spray again. We were told this is common for the area. Master bedroom mattress was a bit uncomfortable for me, but my wife slept fine. Parking was difficult with the neighbor taking up most of the space leaving not much room to get a larger type vehicle past the mailbox and into the third spot so we were dropped off and picked up by family every night and morning. The lanai was nice, but there are large trees to protect the house from golf balls so there is really no view of the golf course. It was nice having a washer and dryer, but we accidentally left swimsuits in the dryer and owner graciously left them out for our family to pickup day after checkout. Overall, very good experience, just listing things people should know when renting it.

Thank you so much for your input. As stated in our house manual and rules. (Please note that our home, although sealed up tightly, still gives way to the occasional and harmless bugs. Such as spiders, ants, palmetto bugs, or crickets, etc., indigenous to our area.) We do get sugar ants Throughout our community this time of year. We spray between each booking. And leave spray underneath the counter beneath the microwave in case you needed by guests. We had no complaints about our beds. Each person has her own Comfortability level. Guests are required to read and comply to the rules/manual.

Not what we expected.

Firstly the property manager wanted to take pictures of our IDs. Identification is necessary but we don't want photos of our ID floating out there. Especially in this day and age with identity theft rampant. The property was not very clean. Especially for being charged a cleaning fee. As an example the window in the bathroom was filthy. The only part of the property that was nice was that back screened in porch. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

Nelson Complaining about the bathroom window. Is that all he could find? If you look hard enough you possibly can find something. If it was a hotel he wouldn’t complain about the windows. Cleaners only have so much time before the next guests get there. All suggestions to improve is welcome! About the id’s. Yes, we asked for id’s. Or at least show your IDs upon entry. For them to match profile. You wouldn’t want any stranger in your home without any identification. VRBO Does not supply host with it. Had major Incidents in the past. It’s also a requirement of every hotel. As explained in our description. We need it for safety reasons. It’s everyone’s option not to book if they do not agree on the house/manual. PLEASE READ All ABOUT PROPERTY BEFORE BOOKING!

Great value

Janice was very helpful & responsive. The layout is great with rooms situated on opposite ends allowing for privacy. Did not see any bugs. The reason for 4 stars vs 5 is there was a slight smoke smell which is no fault to Janice as she clearly has a no smoking sign and states no smoking inside. So I would just suggest running an air purifier in each room once to neutralize the smell.

Enjoyed having Lindsey and her family as guests. Communicated well and response was fast. Followed the house rules. Kept the house neat. Would be a pleasure to have them stay again.
