This is the perfect apartment for your next family vacation in Playa del Carmen. It is a spacious, contemporary rental illuminated by plenty of light coming in through the many windows. The furnished balcony, which you can access from both the living room and bedroom, has views of a quiet street. This retreat also offers free high-speed WiFi, perfect for remote work, streaming, and distance learning. Enjoy the cool environment of your home or head up to the rooftop, where you'll find the shared pool and sunbathing area.

You'll love the location of this apartment, away from noise and traffic, but less than a five minutes walk from Fifth Avenue. Discover charming, local boutiques, souvenir shops, and a number of great restaurants. This rental is also just 300 meters from the beach and a number of beach clubs such as Playa Martina. Or set out to explore Tulum Jaguar Park (Parque del Jaguar).

Things to Know
Construction is occurring in front of the property until June 2024. Noise and dust can be expected all day every day of the week. Please contact our customer experience team within 24 hours of creating your reservation if you feel this will be a problem. Refunds cannot be given within 30 days of check-in and after 24 hours have passed since booking.
Fiber optic WiFi (30 Mb) in the apartment and on the shared rooftop.

We arrived to dirty floors and toilets that had not been cleaned from the previous tenants stay. The dressers and nightstands in all the bedrooms were rotted and broken down and slanted backwards. The fridge had broken pieces inside. The glass spout to the coffee pot was chipped and cracked. There was no washer and dryer as advertised. The safe in the closet does not work. There are three showers. One shower sprayed in two directions, one of which separated out of the bottom of the shower door, flooding the bathroom and into the bedroom everytime it was used and needed to be plugged by a towel. The other two showers only had the handheld that worked, but not the actual shower head. The water pressure in these two showers barely rinsed out shampoo and conditioner for people with hair. One of these two showers did not drain whole in use and you ended up in a puddle of backed up drain water. Two of the four toilets barely needed to be flushed 3-4 times to flush anything. On the second to last night of our stay the power went out leaving us with no running water, no flushing toilets, no a/c, no way to get our car out of the parking garage and no way to re enter the building because it is electronic. All attempts to address these issues were responded to by text, BUT never actually addressed or resolved and no one came. We had VRBO book us into a new place for our last night due to high indoor temperatures and no response from the host.

Beware of elavator! Do not use elevator!

The reason for the low rating is that my husband and I got stuck on the elevator and thought we were going to die! Its very small, no AC, extremely hot, alarms did not work, no cell phone perception! Firefighters rescued us. Thank God that our screams were heard otherwise we would be dead! Don't use the elevator especially if you are the only ones in the building! When we complained we were just told "sorry but the elevator is not an amenity of the apartment". Well but no one told us not to use it! Any way that elevator is a death trap. Especially when the building is so empty like when we were there ( our family was the only occupants in the building). Otherwise the apartment itself is OK, except for some broken furniture in one of the bedrooms and a clooged sink. Good location near 5th Ave and minutes walk to the beach. On 3rd floor and pool on 4th (rooftop). Again as long as you are OK using stairs.

Great stay!

Overall this was a great place to be at. Sure there were a few minor inconveniences that came with the inside of the place but overall it was a great experience and everyone in my family loved it.I cannot stress enough how amazing the location was. It was so close to several beaches (under 5 minutes to the closest) and a 2 minute walk to the famous 5th ave. The customer service of the property company Vacasa is stellar. Everyone is very responsive and they definitely deserve a 5 star rating! Even after hours, during a power outage they responded QUICKLY!The rooftop pool, several bathrooms, several showers, beautiful balcony, great tv in the living room, very good ac throughout the place, good water pressure, hot water, and modern look were also some great items to note. It was also great that we had a parking spot in the garage if we needed it.A few inconveniences I saw that others might be picky about: One of the bathroom sinks drains very slowly and sometimes you had to unscrew the drain plug to let it fully drain away. Another bathroom has a door that does not slide closed properly so essentially it's open to the room. That same bathroom leaks water outside of the shower door onto the bathroom floor. Many nightstands and dressers in all the bedrooms were broken from the base but still functional. A dining room chair seemed as if it was on the verge of breaking. The balcony loveseat had a broken armrest. But those did not matter to use and we loved the stay.

It's large accommodations for a group. Liked the pool. Faucets splash you everytime. Needs a bit of wall and floor cleanung. All you need is walking distance.

Do not stay here MOLD

The apartment was not properly cleaned when we arrived. Floors needed mopping, dusty surfaces, bathroom walls were dirty and entire apartment smelled of mold.Visible mold on walls and ceilings. I have pictures and video.Broken and rotten furniture. Actual rotten wood furniture from water damage.The apartment is in desperate need of maintenance.Shower drain was clogged and we thought there was no hot water to 2 of the 3 bathrooms. It took them 4 days for them to send someone. He unclogged the shower and showed us that you have to leave the shower running for five minutes to get hot water.Internet stopped working properly halfway through our stay. Only social media would work, other websites would get diverted to a page prompting us to pay the internet bill. No streaming services would work. Emailed Vacasa daily for a week to fix this and they never did.I'm not a picky person but I feel like I was misled as to the poor condition of the apartment.The customer service from vacasa was really bad. Not helpful at all. Neighborhood was nice, look for something else in the area.

Spacious villa in a great location, just needs a bit of TLC.

A fantastic spacious villa in a great location close to the beach and lots of amazing restaurants. Villa a little dated and well worn, with very limited/damaged crockery. Everything worked but could do with a mid life refresh to bring up to scratch. Jose and the Vacasa team were great, with good comms and smooth access etc. Thank you.

PERFECT LOCATION!!

Vacasa was the perfect vacation and the location was super perfect! We were close to all the nightlife and many restaurants and coffee shops! We had a rental car so getting around was very easy! We did a bit of walking as well so you'll be fine without a car. The closeness to the beach is just too perfect! Maybe about a 3 min walk. This spot is definitely where you wanna be to have an amazing time! One of my friends says she's going back and wants to stay in the exact spot! This is definitely where I'll be staying shall I return to Playa del Carmen! Thank you Vacasa for a wonderfully affordable time!

Amplio y cómodo

El departamento es como se ve en las fotos, muy amplio y cómodo para una familia o grupo grande. Buena ubicación muy cerca de la 5a Avenida (final de la 5a Avenida) y de la playa. Nos dejaron hacer check in antes de la hora indicada, lo cual agradecemos mucho por que íbamos con niños. El único pequeño problema que tuvimos es que no servia el control/mando para abrir la puerta del garaje. A pesar de que nos lo cambiaron por otro tampoco funcionó; parecía que tenía un problema de configuración. Teníamos que abrir la puerta desde el interior del garaje con un botón que había ahí. Sin duda es un lugar que repetiría si volvemos a Playa del Carmen.

Perfect location

We loved the apartment size. My kids enjoyed swimming in the pool daily. My husband loved how close the unit is to Quinta Avenida. Myself, the close walk to the beach! Unit was clean, staff member Leo communicated with us upon our arrival to PDC.

It´s a very comfortable apartment

It´s even better than the pictures, very well located, it´s so closed to the beach and the 5th av. The cleanliness was perfect. The air conditioning works well. If you are going to stay in Playa del Carmen, you do not need a car. But if you do it, you should rent a small car, because the parking´s entrance is narrow.
