Beautifully situated on 11 private acres, this home features stunning architecture, a light-filled living area, and an upper-level master suite. Take in the outdoors on the screened porch, and watch your kids enjoy the play area with swings and a slide. Pick wild blackberries and raspberries in the summer!

Hiking and sightseeing can be found nearby, as well as in Panthertown Valley. See one of the area’s several stunning waterfalls. The home is conveniently located between the towns of Cashiers and Sylva, only 15 minutes from Western Carolina University. Enjoy the close proximity to Dillsboro, Waynesville, Smoky Mountain National Park, Blue Ridge Parkway, and the Biltmore Estate.

Do NOT Rent a VACASA owned home through VRBO

and honestly not sure VRBO has a heart. I'm sure there were many people who rented something in beautiful Western NC that the utter destruction of Hurricane Helene upended. Ours was in Tuckasegee an area that the state of NC declared a state of emergency and prohibited travel to by anyone other than official emergency help. Neither VRBO nor VACAS, despite sending actual NC gov. info., refused to acknowledge the actual conditions in the area. They blithely said everything was fine. If all we lose is two nights rental it will be nothing in comparison to what the communities will go through to rebuild their beautiful towns. We will go back to WNC whenever they are ready for us. But we will never rent from the heartless VACASA or VRBO. We heart WNC.

“This is the best place we have ever stayed at in N.C.!”,as per our kids. Great home with a frontage on a dammed river. Kids spent the time fishing, kayaking, and swimming. Took hikes, went white water rafting, and visited Bryson City. Great trip and are looking forward to renting this home again!

HEAVEN ON EARTH

This was our second time in 5yrs at this home. The home is nestled right into the hillside on a lake. The environment is very quiet and peaceful with lots of berries for the picking. We found the home to be very well maintained with quite a few modern upgrades. The location is perfect for all local attractions hiking, kayaking, whitewater rafting, fishing, relaxing..... ❤️❤️❤️

Highly recommended

I will be looking to book this place every time I visit my family there. Beautiful place with a lot of space and everything you need! I have stayed at many places and never seen a place like this with so stocked with everything you need. From kitchen utensils, appliances, outdoor activities, etc . One of a kind place!

Perfect Location on the water!

This home is on a very scenic bend in the river with gorgeous views. The home is beautifully designed for families to enjoy with several river toys (kayaks, SUPs, canoes). We hope to return to Skinny Dip!

Great rental, incredible views

Our group of 10 loved this place! Kitchen/pantry was huge and well stocked with dishes/utensils/appliances. Beautiful secluded property, incredible views. Lots for the kids to do inside and out. Adults enjoyed the deck and fire pit. Driveway is steep and twisty, would be wary on a snowy or icy day but otherwise fine. We would stay again.

Should be featured in a magazine

The home and property are incredible. It looks like something out of a magazine or on a TV show. The home has so much space and is one with nature. The view overlooking the canyon and river must be the most beautiful view I've seen in NC.

Serene retreat beside the river

This home is beautifully sited without and planned within. You always want a large and well-equipped kitchen and numerous dining places and this had it all, whether working on the dining room table or lounging at the patio table, or using the table in the screened porch. Games, puzzles and dinner plates, no problem. The Tuckaseegee River, down a small path, provide natural wonder, swimming, floating and fishing. You could hear it at night from the bedrooms, soothing and constant. A place of great beauty, great fun, now great memories.

Perfect for Graduation

This house is beautiful, and location is amazing! We rented for my daughter's WCU graduation, and it was perfect. A couple broken appliances but were not a big issue for us and I'm sure they will be fixed for the next group.

The Perfect Getaway

This home is the perfect getaway, and the perfect blend of amenities and nature. The home has everything you could possibly need with a view to die for. This is our 2nd stay, and it was perfect. We relaxed, enjoyed some snow, and even found a ton of rocks and gems down by the river.

Beautiful! Wonderful week with the family

8 of us enjoyed the beautiful house. We spent most of our time playing games, reading, and putting together puzzles. It had everything we needed. We had unexpected good January weather so went kayaking a couple days. The pictures don’t do the view justice. The water is close and more beautiful than expected. We would definitely stay again!

Beautiful, secluded location and comfortable cabin

Wonderful views of the valley, especially during Fall when we were there. Plenty of space for a large family to gather. Close to many beautiful hikes in the mountains. Evening fires on the deck while listening to the river were particularly nice.

WCU move in

Great spot. We really enjoyed our stay at this property for a mini family get-a-way as we moved our daughter up for her college move in. We will definitely look to stay here again!! Only difficulty we experience, was it was hard to communicate with the property manager about a bear/ trash incident due to the poor reception and internet service. Had to drive off property just to get texts out. But all ended well

Relaxing Family Home

We loved our stay in this home and will definitely be back again. It is very spacious with plenty of room for a large group. There is a lot entertainment for the kids outside between climbing wall, zip line, and all the water toys. Property manager was very responsive to help with a minor issue that we had at check in so I would highly recommend them as well.

Perfect Getaway!

The house was absolutely beautiful. The hosts have put lots of thought and consideration into stocking this home to meet a family's needs. Enjoyed fishing, kayaking and swimming down by the water. Very clean and check in was very easy. We did not have any issues and will definitely be returning. Thank you Vacasa and the hosts for making our vacation memorable.

Thanks the host for a wonderful weekend!

The view is stunning! The place is at a perfect location. The house was spacious, quiet and had all of the necessities for a few night stay. Although we initially had the Internet connection issue on the first night, the host and the Vacasa customer service are approachable and gave some suggestions. Alternatively kids explored the backyard and enjoyed the zip line very much. On the next day the host connected with the service provider and restored the Internet. If it’s closer to where I live, I would not hesitate to buy such a lovely vacation house.

Amazing Cabin

We had a wonderful time at the cabin this past weekend ; it was the most stocked house I have ever seen ! Couldn’t ask for more ; the inside was great and the outside was even better- the outdoor “playground” was more Then I could imagined my kids had so much fun they didn’t want to go to sleep. I can’t find one thing I can complain about I read some previous reviews about this or that not working it’s all minor and not important this cabin is amazing inside out

Great House and View!.. BUT...

House Size and layout, and scenic VIEWs are awesome, but there are some issues we had. 1. The Carpets were filthy and not clean at all, especially in the master bedroom where there were lots of stains, and carpets did not smell clean at all. 2. Appliances are in need of an upgrade. ICE maker made ice but would not dispense it. Oven and microwave "worked" but were older also if you plan on doing lots of cooking. 3. The last night we stayed some outside power box or something started emitting a loud alarm which prevented several in our party from sleeping. Called the owner's number listed in the kitchen, left a message but never got a reply. 4. Driveway is a little narrow, steep and winding, and if it rains with wet leaves all over it can get a little scary going up and down it. It should be wider at the very least. 5. Cooktop needs some instructions. Not being familiar with Induction cooktops, we did not realize that some of the pots in the house didnt work with this Induction cooktop due to the surface of the pot/pan and thought the stove was broken. (although there was a large visible crack in the glass, which did not seem to affect the functionality once we learned how to use it properly). Overall i would still recommend this location. Its a great house, and location, but it needs some attention from the owner.

Fabulous property

Wonderful week at Skinny Dippin! The kids loved the zip line and the lake that is a creek right now. We tubed, kayaked, swam, explored, played games and laughed a lot. There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out but still enjoy each other. The house is stocked with ample towels, dishes, cooking utensils, comfy beds, lots of games, and television with many channels for the rainy days. It was a great week and we are looking forward to coming back again.
