THINGS TO KNOW
Beach service is available for rent from March 31st to August 1st. These setups may block the view of the beach from your vacation rental.
Guests must be 25 years of age or older to check in or stay. If you are under 25 years old and are not accompanied by a parent or legal guardian that is 25 years of age or older, you will not be permitted to stay in this unit. Please call Vacasa as soon as possible about your reservation.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.
This rental is located on floor 5.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Place to sleep for a night

It was a place to sleep for a night. There were blood stains on the extra pillows in the master bedroom and the slider door handle was broke which is a huge safety concern.

Great stay

There was so much humidity in the room that the floors and furniture were wet the entire stay. The counters were a little dirty but other than that the stay was amazing. Easy beach access, great staff, walking distance to everything. This is my 2nd stay here and I will definitely be coming back.

Great views!

We had a great stay. Rooms were very clean with a great view from the balcony. The only negative was all the beds were extremely uncomfortable and mattresses were well used. They definitely need to be replaced. Overall the condo was great and what you would expect from a beach condo. I would definitely book it again in the future.

Family Vacation

This hotel is great for family vacation. All amenities were great and pools were all open. The tiki bar is great and move quick to put your order in. Our room was good for family of 5 but do wish they would upgrade the beds to something more comfortable. Other then that I would return back.

Awesome Beach View!

From the living room and kitchen you can see the white sand Gulf Coast beach. So beautiful, relaxing, and breathtaking. We will be back soon.

Great view but needs some fixing

My overall impression is that it could be great but some repairs have been neglected. The stove had two burners that were inoperable. One element was broken and the other smoked when turned on. The TV in the bedroom was never hooked up to the service. We called and vacasa called once to get it going but we were out. The place itself has a lot of potential but several things were neglected. Vacation time is not to get repairs done as arranged by the customer. So if Vacasa is responsible, they are not doing their job. I think a discount/refund is appropriate considering all the things that were broken or did not work.

Outdated unit but great view

The resort itself was nice. It was great having an on-site cafe and tiki bar. The view of the beach was amazing. We usually stay in Ft. Walton Beach down the road a bit where it’s less crowded but took a chance on staying in the heart of Destin. It was OK but it’s way more crowded. Beach service isn’t included which was a bummer and got expensive for the week. But about this unit specifically….it’s outdated. Which is a nice way of putting it. Everything from the furniture to appliances and even the artwork and decor seemed like it was from the 90s. The TV in the living room hardly worked at all. You couldn’t turn it up past a certain volume or the sounds would be garbled and the stream skipped something awful. Even the patio furniture wasn’t something you could really sit on the balcony to enjoy the beautiful view. And there wasn’t actually a coffee table in the living room like in the pictures. The bathrooms are OLD, dated and the master is tiny. While we liked the resort and the view, we definitely won’t be staying here. I’d recommend spending a little more to find somewhere decent to stay.

Loved it

Location is perfect. Resort is very nice. Kitchen had all the appliances we needed. Could use some more dishes. Everything was clean. View is beautiful. Only negative comment would be the bunk bed mattresses are very hard. Would book this room again. Also, pricing compared to other rooms in the same resort is cheaper here.

First Destin trip

Perfect location! Perfect beach! Condo was just what the 4 of us needed for our first vacation to Destin as a family. Teenage girls had a great time. We felt safe enough for them to go on their own to beach and around complex. No complaints!!

My first trip to Destin

The table in the living room was broken there was no table on balcony to set and enjoy the view there were water stains on the ceiling in the half bath.The pool closed at 8p M. On the dot along with the hot tub and security ran everyone off at 8 nightly.the towel racks were broken in the bathrooms laying in floor. Definitely needs some updating to the condo.our blanket had black smeared all over it couldn't use it.The view was beautiful!

It was our first trip/stay in Destin. Overall, we did enjoy it. Pelican Beach Resort was ok. We really enjoyed heated pool.A bit outdated, but they are in the process of renovation. Elevators were really fast, 2-3 min and you good to go. Stay at the beach was quiet frustrating. Each Resort privately owns a part of the beach and we had all the "Private Property", "No Tents" signs and even ropes on both sides. That was really uncomfortable!!! Very little space was left in the back away from the water for people who brought their own chairs and umbrellas. The room itself is a whole different story. Outdated, moldy and badly in need of remodeling. Burners on a cooktop were unproperly replaced which made cooking almost impossible. My son has allergies, so we were staying outside that room as much as possible! Away from dirty carper, mold and disgusting couch in the living room. Cleaning crew did an ok job trying to give this roon a dissent look. Definitely not going back to that location!

Not that clean

The place had a faint smell of cigarettes. The bathroom shower-tub combo has mildew around the caulking of the glass. The balcony was dirty too. Some of the dishes in the cabinet had dried food on them. The blankets for the bunk beds were dirty. One had black stains like maybe eyeliner or mascara, which means those blankets aren’t washed. They were dingy too. Housekeeping just isn’t on top of things. I mean, the room wasn’t awful but it just wasn’t as clean as other places I’ve stayed. I probably won’t stay at Pelican Beach again and I take trips to Destin at least two to three times a year. The beach view, however, was absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. The water from our balcony was so beautiful to see first thing in the morning. And most of our time was spent outside of our unit. There are two pools that I saw and both were clean. People surely enjoyed them.

PRIVATE BEACH!

Beautiful beach, clear waters. Nice clean condo right on the beach with everything you need. BUT here at the pelican beach resort they set out chairs in front and these chairs need to be booked out 6 months in advance. If you bring your own stuff you can only set up behind 4 rows of chairs with all those chairs blocking your beach view. No canopies allowed. This was the ONLY thing we did not like. Everyone is right there crowded because you can't move those chairs. We personally won't be back to the pelican beach resort because of this, we personally prefer your own space.

Pretty Nice

The apartment had a awesome view. Property was awesome with the different pools and hot tubs with the tiki bar with private beach / access. The apartment was outdated for sure but not bad for the price.

Great Stay!

We enjoyed the condo. It was clean. It smelled fresh. We had plenty of towels to last us til left. We didn’t have any complaints. I would suggest replacing the carpet. The living room furniture can be updated. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Great Family Stay!

The room needs a lot of work

The room was pretty bad. It needed a lot of updating. We had a lot of problems but the property managers were awesome and refunded us half of our money back. I wouldn't stay at this particular room again but I would definitely go through the company Vacasa that manages it. They made sure we were happy. That's all you can ask for 😊
