Our stay at The River House was everything we thought it would be. Great location, clean, accurately advertised. Property had charm and host was amazing, great communication. Would definitely recommend!

The house was ideal for us - very near an entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway, with unanticipated access to the even closer Mill Mountain Park. And the greenway trail along the river behind the house couldn't have been more convenient.All of the rental arrangements were easy, as was parking. The house was very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped.Our only advice to guests is to check the schedule of outdoor concerts at the nearby Dr. Pepper Park. We happened to be at the house one evening when a rock band was playing there and could feel the bass thumping for several hours. But that may not be a problem for everyone.

Great place to watch the fireworks on July 3rd. We had a few ants in the kitchen, but the cooking utensils were great. Comfortable beds. Could have used another comfy chair in the living room..it was too hot to really enjoy the walking trail, so we grabbed a movie instead and we could have used another way to prop up tired feet;) lovely home and had a variety of condiments in the fridge and spices available which was nice. Thanks!

Great location! Enjoyed walking the greenway with easy access to coffee shops and restaurants! Loved the close proximity to the Roanoke star and downtown! The kitchen was nicely stocked and the living spaces were comfortable. Would recommend!

A weekend in Roanoke

The River house was fresh, updated, clean and comfortable. Very convenient (1-mile) to everything in downtown Roanoke. If / when we go back I would definitely stay at the River house.

Much Better Than Expected!

We absolutely loved this VRBO! There's so much to do within walking distance in every direction. The house is also very cozy and quiet. We really enjoyed our time there and highly recommend this one :-)
