Wonderful property all around! We have stayed at this property two times now and it is the cleanest VRBO that I’ve ever stayed at and I have stayed at quite a few. The hosts are so thoughtful and leave extra personal care items in case you need anything. The house is very well stocked with everything you will need. The beds are very comfortable. Overall, it is a great place to stay!

Beautiful property in the woods/mountains with great location to Roanoke/Roanoke College. Home is decorated beautifully with wonderful and thoughtful amenities. Truly one of the nicest VRBOs we have stayed in. We will be back!

One of the best VRBO properties we've stayed at. The house was better than expected (roomier and comfortable!). It was well stocked with nearly everything you could imagine. Host was very responsive and helpful. We will stay here again!

What a wonderful gem indeed! The house was clean and spacious, making for a wonderful visit. Additionally, the outdoor porch added a nice, relaxing touch. We highly recommend this home, and we look forward to a longer stay next time!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house was beautiful, comfortable, very clean, and the owners provided everything we needed and more. We were in town for family weekend at Roanoke College and the location was perfect. We would love to stay here again next time we are in town.

Our group absolutely loved the house & the area in general! The house had special touches everywhere with notes & the kitchen was very well equipped. We used the screened porch & outdoor area quite a bit. The location was perfect for the hiking trailheads & Salem was only 10-15 min away. There was also a cute coffeeshop at the end of the street. The Hanging Rock Tavern which had great food & beer was 5 min away too. We will definitely be back to stay!

The five of us representing three senior adult households have rented many times with VRBO, and this was our best rental! The house is very well furnished with very attractive furniture, very comfortable beds, thick towels, and all the personal amenities. Kevin was responsive to our calls and very easy to work with. We would follow the pattern of all the reviewers before us in rating our experience a 10! We are already discussing plans to rent the house again next summer.

Tucked away for piece of privacy yet close enough to downtown, trails and restaurants/grocery, this home is in a great location The home is well stocked with everyday essentials to make our stay very enjoyable. The master bedroom suite is a dream with walk in closet, bathroom space and comfy bed. Our host, Kevin was spot on with communication and always in reach for questions. We would definitely stay here again Thank you for opening your home for our stay.

The host was very accommodating and was there when we needed him. The accommodations were great and very spacious. If I stay there again, it will not be in December. The weather is too unpredictable at that time of the year.

Amazing Retreat

This Vrbo rental was a true gem! We were incredibly impressed by the beautiful, spacious rooms and awesome master suite. The lovely grounds and outdoor space added to the charm and the location was perfect. One of us did not have hot water when it was needed but the host responded immediately and resolved the issue. A fantastic stay overall.

The home was one of the nicest we have stayed in. The host was very accommodating and offered his help several times to make sure the stay was easy and comfortable. The winter weather came in and cut the trip and stay short. But, we do come to this area once a year and hope to book again. My husband took a group up for a conference and they were very complimentary of the comfort and beauty of the home.

What a great stay! Communication was fantastic and this house had everything we needed. The split room layout worked so well for us early birds so we didn’t disrupt whoever wanted to sleep in. All appliances worked, the couch and beds were comfy and having a little fenced in area was nice for our dog to watch the birds and squirrels without fear she would run off. We even got out to some trails nearby for some hiking. Would definitely stay here again.

I absolutely loved the home. It was beautifully decorated and very well stocked for any issue. Our only issue were the beds. They were very uncomfortable. Otherwise, it was a dream vacation.

Star City Gem near Trailhead

We enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed to cook our meals. The back screened porch was an extra gathering area to hang out and talk about the highlights of plays after we got in from our softball tournament. This area was also equipped with a big screened TV. It was really nice. The house was very clean and well decorated. We will definitely consider staying again

The property was excellent! The online photos do not do it justice. It was clean inside and out. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessary utensils, cutlery, glassware and cookware. The host even supplied coffee and tea as well as toiletries and those little items you sometimes forget when packing i.e. toothpaste, toothbrushes etc.It was far enough away from Roanoke to give you that mountain feel, but close enough to allow you to enjoy the restaurants and bars downtown. If you are a hiker the trails were 5 minutes away.The host was responsive throughout the booking process, check-in, and during the stay. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area, and will surely be back!

The pictures of this property do not do it justice. This home has large rooms, beautifully decorated, super comfortable beds, a walk in shower in the ensuite, and everything you need to have a wonderful vacation. All on one level, this home was perfect for my 3 sisters, brother-in-law, and me. Kevin, our host was easy to communicate with, always available, and a very kind person. We enjoyed the peace and quiet while sitting on the screened porch having our morning coffee. It was the perfect place for our family reunion!
