Grizzly Den - Above the River! Yellowstone mountain views and Air Conditioning!

The Grizzly Den is an amazing place to call home during your visit to Montana. Come play in Yellowstone and the Gardiner Basin-Paradise Valley! Rafting, horseback riding, hot springs, fishing, hiking, dining, cross county skiing, wildlife viewing, and of course Yellowstone Park is all accessible within minutes. We will help you plan a great trip! This Air Conditioned 2 bedroom home has two additional separate loft areas for adding sleeping. We are located above the banks of the Yellowstone River and less than a mile from the north entrance to Yellowstone. We are in the heart of Gardiner, MT making it an easy evening stroll to local dining and shopping; or stay back and enjoy grilling on the deck over looking the river.
The house has 18 windows facing south into the park highlighting the stunning views of 11,000 ft Electric Peak. You can literally look out the windows, or off the deck and see: elk, antelope, deer, and occasionally bears and wolves roaming the hillsides of Yellowstone. Bring your binoculars!
We are located about an hour from the Bozeman Airport.

The property was a lot of fun. We didn’t have kids with us but a family would definitely enjoy all the nooks and crannies. Very clean, beautiful views , great outdoor area and the beds that were all comfortable.

The house was beautiful and very clean. My kids enjoyed the upstairs and my teenage daughter claimed the loft for her own immediately on arrival. I love that there were so many different options to sleep. I can see where some people might have difficulty with the spiral staircase, but we didn’t have any issues. It was beautiful. The view of the river and mountains in the distance was fantastic. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for having us!

Perfect location to Yellowstone and we even enjoyed Yellowstone Hot Springs. The staircase going upstairs is tight. The river is very peaceful. The host had the bear spray and assorted cooler sizes which was perfect for our day trips to the park.

The house is very clean and has a great view of the mountains. The couch downstairs is a pullout, and you could easily sleep 8-10 adults if you have couples or people willing to share beds. There are definitely bears in town - The 2nd night we were there a black bear walked under the deck and down to the river.

My wife and I had a 6 night stay so we could visit Yellowstone National Park. So many things we loved about this property. Very close to the north entrance to the park, walking distance to the grocery store and restaurants, beautiful view of the Yellowstone River and mountains from the deck, very clean home, plenty of room in the home, fully stocked kitchen when we wanted to cook in, property owner was very responsive and so much more. We highly recommend this property for your next Yellowstone vacation.

We had a great time, a very relaxing and quiet stay. The narrow spiral staircase was a bit of a challenge while carrying luggage upstairs, but other than that, the place was wonderful. Our goal was to visit YNP and soak in the hot springs in Gardiner, both of which were easy to do staying here. Liza was a perfect host and very prompt with responding to my questions. This place had everything we could have needed!

This was a good property, conveniently located, well furnished, clean, and well-serviced.Parking could be a real problem, though thankfully our stay was off-season and we found secure parking close by.

Great stay on the water and easy access to Yellowstone!

Great place to stay!! We really enjoyed Gardiner and the easier access to Lamar Valley in the early dawn hours. Everything was as described. We split our family stay for Yellowstone between Gardiner and West Yellowstone and are glad we did. Different and beneficial experiences from each area.

Our family lived and worked in Gardiner for almost ten years. The Gardiner Basin is a magical place to explore and the community of Gardiner a treasure. We live in Bozeman now where my husband is a nurse at the hospital. We are an adventurous family who loves hiking, biking, climbing, skiing, and river life. We all love our Grizzly Den home and are so happy to share it with you! The kids love all of the nooks and mini lofts in the house and it is always dreamy overlooking the river and Electric Peak. It feels like a treehouse. Thank you for being our guest and supporting our family.
