Surrounded by a mature treed acre located at I680 N and Highway 133 in Northwest Omaha. 2 Bed 1 Bath with a Walk in shower. Song birds abound. Parking for many. On a direct route to Eppeley Airfield, Downtown Omaha, Henry Doorley Zoo or College World Series Stadium. Sleeps 5. Walk 1 block to Grocery Store, fuel, and amenities. Pet allowed with deposit. No Smoking. Extended Stay Rates Available upon request. Please pay through the VRBO service, to protect your self and Lily's cozy Cottage.

Reasonable

We enjoyed our stay in Omaha. We found the manager very quick to respond and they allowed us to stay an extra hour past our check out time (which was helpful). The house was clean enough. The only issues we had was that there was no toilet paper, paper towels, or dish soap. The power went out once during our stay and overall it was a little noisy (I think it was the water heater).

Lily's Cottage

Beautiful piece of property, easy access and close to everything. There were a few things that we weren't real happy with! When we arrived the front storm door was open and stuck up under the soffit, so we just left it. There was a huge patch of ice on the sidewalk and the back patio had not been shoveled. There was no toilet paper or paper towels. The internet did not work, so neither did the Smart TV! It would be nice to get some money refunded!

Not what we thought it was

The overall location, house and interior seemed very off and uncomfortable. We elected to not stay any of the nights and got a hotel..

Cute little house

Enjoyed the stay overall. Owner adjusted days a few days before due to weather circumstances. It is a cute house. I will say the beds are soft, so if you like a firm bed, be aware of that. Also, yes, the heater and water heater are loud when they come on, but they work. I'd stay here again if I come back in the area.

Great little house

It was a great location for us with easy access to places we wanted to go.Shayne was always on top of things if something broke or we needed something.Enjoyed being here.

A few suggestions

It really was perfect for us with plenty of room for family (who live on N 107th) to visit. Great location and parking space! We LOVED the view and the large property. I would not hesitate to stay again. I am sharing these suggestions/comments, which would make this top-notch lodging. Towel rack comes loose from wall in bathroom Why no washcloths?—nice towels however More hangers! 4 is not enough The hot water heater noise is quite annoying A few perennials and potted flowers sure would look nice Front storm door sticks badly and needed kicking to open Replace old sheets and pillows Some throw rugs are in need of being replaced Mattresses are not firm enough Need a step down to the patio—dangerous due to the drop in level from the room to the cement Lawn inside chain link area really needed to be mowed—unsightly—glad we did not have to hunt for dog poo! Clock not working Bare walls could use some artwork or decor if there is a way to prevent it from being taken by guests (can’t imagine why people steal from a VRBO!)

Sweet home with a great yard

We enjoyed our stay here, especially the yard. The only issues were the floors were dirty when we got there, laundry was still in the dryer, and we never received any check-in info until I contacted the host. Not a big deal. Other than that we really enjoyed the house, the kids loved running around the backyard. The house was the perfect size for our family of 5. It was in a fairly quiet area, with little traffic. I enjoyed reading the history of the home and land. Thanks for a great stay!

Omaha stay

Good location, quiet, plenty of room. The dryer was nice feature to have since Omaha was soaking wet the entire weekend and clothes needed drying out. The other special feature is the walk-in shower. Note that the beds are VERY soft, so if you need a firm mattress, you will be disappointed. The back yard was useful, but note that it is a short, chain-linked fence that may be a problem for an athletic dog, especially if distracted by the street traffic that can be viewed from the west side. There were a few things out of order/needing repair (storm door, lack of steps to enter back yard, groaning water heater), but overall these were minor.

Great

Property was nice and neat, with the exception on some cobwebs here and there. Needed some paper towels but was stocked otherwise. Did not receive instructions for check in process so we had to call the host upon arrival to find out how to enter the rental. We had no issues otherwise. We would stay again.

A lovely cottage

Lily's Cottage was a great place to come home to during our visit in Omaha. It was clean and spacious for our family, and the yard was awesome for our pups. The host communicated in a timely manner and was flexible when we needed to stay and extra day due to travel conditions. I hope it is available the next time we come to town!

Ongoing issues

From other reviews the cleanliness could be better as well as keeping basic necessities like hand soap, paper towels, trash bags, cleaning supplies. After cleaning the refrigerator, bathroom, and washing the shower curtains to rid the bathroom of the mildew smell. What made up for these inconvenience was having a fully fenced in backyard. This place could really be something if it were cleaned properly and stocked with supplies. I have rental properties as well so when I saw a hand written reviews in the house binder from October that stated they didnt have hand soap and the smell from the bathroom was really bad. It only shows that the management of the property needs a revamp becausecomplaints are not being addressed. You cant have a cleaning fee if customers are cleaning your property.

Perfect space

Our stay was wonderful. There was everything we needed there. Plus a Walmart right around the corner for anything we didn’t have. The place was adorable, and well decorated. We absolutely loved our stay! Thanks so much!

Cute, clean and well stocked

We had to cut our stay short. We stayed for one night. The house is cute with plenty of room. Nice fenced backyard. We had everything provided that we needed. This is a nice place and we would stay there again.

I am an Auctioneer, Real Estate Broker, and a Women owned Business entrepreneur. I own several companies, and am in the franchise startup phase of my final business development passion.
I own two dogs, who travel with me everywhere, and we also stay in VRBO's.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

It is next door to my home. The original owners, a couple, Tom and Lillie, who lived there raised 5 children. They originally owned the 15 acres to the East of the property. They sold one parcel to put in a well, where before they had carried water in.
Tom groomed dogs and Lillie tailored garments, as well operated their cleaning company which cleaned the apartments just Southwest of the property when tenants moved out.
Tom had passed, and Lillie was preparing to remarry at age 86, so she decided she would sell the property to me.

Lily's is quiet, and secure. It is off the beaten path, yet the best amenities in Omaha are within a 15 minute drive. Having a Walmart close by, as well as a gas station saves a lot of time when you are travelling. The fenced yard allows visitors with children a great location, and those of us who travel with furry friends an opportunity to bring them along with no hassles.
