A newly remodeled, 1300 square foot house located in a quiet cove on beautiful Lake Catherine. Wildlife abounds with deer, fox, cranes, geese and ducks. The 'Asian' style vacation home has a 30 foot vault ceiling with skylight at the top.

The loft overlooking the main living area provides extra twin sleeping beds, living and dining space. Both bedrooms are tastefully furnished with queen beds. The washer/dryer and kitchen appliances are all new. A private fishing/swimming/boat dock is available for lake recreational activities. Serenity House is located in a quiet gated community with access to golf, tennis and basketball courts, playground, swimming pool (available in the summer months), marina, and hiking and horseback riding at Lake Catherine State Park.

We are pet friendly, (2 dogs maximum) but approval is needed before acceptance. Dogs must be kenneled when unattended with a 4 foot kennel and pad provided if needed. Our house can only accommodate six guests.

Weekend Getaway

We were in town for a couple of days to attend an event. This was a great place to stay, especially if you want to be in a quiet place with a great view of the lake. It was an ideal place to bring our dogs and just relax. The owners were great and went out of their way to make sure we felt welcomed. This is definitely on our list of places we’d want to stay at again. Highly recommend!

Incredible cabin!

Perfect cabin for a girls’ weekend trip! Loved the balcony and cozy dock!! The location is so peaceful and quiet, so great for just relaxing. And there’s plenty of parking, which was a huge plus!! The only downside is it takes a while for the AC to cool down the upstairs, but there’s two fans to help the process. Overall, incredible and would book again.

Home Away from Home

This was our third time at Serenity House. It’s such a pleasant place that we keep returning. Teresa (Host) greeted us on arrival and made us feel like her personal guests. We had our miniature poodle with us, and Abbi even enjoyed the change of peace at Serenity House. The house is beautifully located and well equipped.

Serenity House

Our stay was as advertised. From floating off the back dock to volleyball in the community pool, everything was great. Proximity to Hot Springs was perfect. Definitely worth the stay.

Week-end at Lake

There were no issues with check in, Teresa or the house. We were expecting more of a lake experience. The property is on a cove and to get to actual lake area was about a couple of football field swims away. We had a 10 year old that was about waste deep in the water at the property. It is very shady with a lot of trees in backyard that obscures the view. For a group of adults looking for peace and quiet and not children looking for a lake(swim) experience it would be great. I should have asked more questions. But Teresa and the house were fine. Enjoyed the bottle of wine she had provided. Any grocery store is about 25 to 30 minutes away. So come prepared with spices, sugar etc. if you plan to cook.

Comfy like our own home flew to the lakeside

It’s a quiet, comfy place that’s well-stocked by the sweetly thoughtful hosts where our little family of 3 and our Corgi had a chance to take a break away from the normal everyday to-do lists. We enjoyed fishing & swimming right in the backyard. We also had a blast swimming in the giant community pool.

Great place !

Such a wonderful and cozy home. The deck overlooking the private dock and lake was amazing. The owners were very personable and accomodating. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone.

Beautiful place!

We came with our 21 foot skeeter boat and husband said it was very difficult pulling in and out of driveway however we felt very safe leaving our 60k boat in the driveway. We will be back but not bringing the boat. The water in the shower was very hot which I love , has the shower head that has the handle , great water pressure super clean house. The bed was so soft and comfortable and I didn’t feel like something was biting my legs in the bed huge plus! Great location in a gated community. We dock our boat on their boat ramp behind house. Lake Catherine absolutely beautiful! The cottage was great! It was very clean inside. I walked bare footed in the house and didn’t feel like I do in some hotels. Check out red oak fillin station down the street great restaurant fried catfish brisket etc.

Family of five had an enjoyable stay. Space was comfortable & the setting was quiet & peaceful by the water. We were able to take in the sites, activities, & restaurants in Hot Springs while valuing the retreat of being “home” at Serenity House.

Lovely Oasis

One of the best VRBO's we've stayed in. Well-equipped kitchen, spotless refrigerator, ice maker and lots of small appliances. Nice dining area, bedrooms and deck. It was very quiet with some good birding! Easy drive to Hot Springs and Lake Catherine State Park. For those of us vertically challenged to reach the high upper cabinets in the kitchen, there is a step stool in a bedroom closet. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Steve and Teresa!

Wonderful stay

Well-equipped kitchen a big plus since we did lots of cooking! We particularly loved the spacious back porch overlooking the lake. Hosts were helpful and friendly. Wonderful property!

Girls trip getaway

Serenity House is aptly named

The house was lovely and the view of the lake was pretty. The owner anticipated our needs and everything to make our stay enjoyable was provided. This was my first time to stay in a place where the owner lived next door and, I must say, it was nice. We had a little trouble getting through the gate to the neighborhood and she was quick to help. The house had a lovely shaded deck and it’s own dock on the water. Nice! I would love to return.

Great Getaway!

Our family had a nice summer getaway before school starts and had the best time! We loved the location and the kids loved being on the lake and so close to Lake Catherine state park. The owners are right next door and were always quick to reply if I had a question. The house it beautiful and we would a chance to go back and enjoy some cooler temps!

Great Arkansas Getaway

Quaint little property on Lake Catherine. The owners whom live next door were so very nice and friendly. Our family came for a little summer vacation to Hot Springs and this was the perfect set up for us. We felt right at home with everyone in the neighborhood being so welcoming to us being there. My daughters and I fished off the back dock and everyone jumped in the lake at one point. The home was extremely clean and just fine for what we were looking for. The upstairs got a little warm during the day (the owners did make us aware of this) but it eventually cooled down at night and my kids slept just fine. Morning walks in the neighborhood were delightful and the golf course and state park being easily accessible made the trip more entertaining. With such a wonderful little place on the lake and the owners Teresa and Steve being so kind and welcoming, we will most certainly book another stay here in the future.

Wonderful Stay at Serenity

Serenity was a nice location in Hot Springs for a quiet, relaxing stay with our family. Theresa and Steve thought about everything including a campfire for s'mores! The boat dock was just an added bonus with access to the lake. We will mark this as a place to return. Your place is beautiful!

Swimming and fishing are sports that many participate in from the dock just steps from the house. Serenity House is located in Diamondhead Community where a swimming pool is available in the summer and golfing throughout the year. Diamondhead is centrally located just minutes from Hot Springs, Garvin Gardens and Malvern (I-30).
