Freshly renovated in 2022, this first floor room has one king and single sleeper sofa and bathroom with a shower. Kitchen has a small refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig. Wireless internet and one color cable TV. Dog friendly with a $100 non refundable pet fee. The Continental Condominiums offers our guests 27 cozy, individually owned units that are managed as vacation rentals available for short-term as well as off-season monthly stays. Located on Sunset Beach and just across the street from the Atlantic Ocean allows for a simple walk to the Sunset Beach Pier for fishing, or just to spend the day on the area's finest beach strand. When you are done at the beach, enjoy our outdoor pool for a lap or two (mid-April through late-September based on the weather). You'll find a local market and shops next door to us. Wi-Fi available, On-site Shared Laundry Facility, and on-site grills for cooking that fresh caught fish. Non-smoking.

Golf carts are not permitted at the Continental Motel.

Great Little Beach Stay

The studio was exactly how described/pictured. Probably the cleanest dog friendly place that I’ve ever stayed at. My only complaint is that the condo right next door was under construction and it was SO LOUD. With this being a dog friendly condo, it would’ve been nice to be notified of that before staying. My dog was super anxious for the whole stay due to the noise. Otherwise, a great place. I would stay again, but would definitely need to make sure construction was completed.

Hurricane Debra

I spent 4.5 days inside a small apartment. There was a damp smell in the room before the rain even started. There were no cups. Bowels, plates or silverware. I had to request the comforter be changed, it looked like it hadent been cleaned in a very long time. My dog only got on the bed with clean beach towels under him. By the time i left, which was 7 day before my check out date...the ceiling was beginning the fall due to the dampness and rain. The town had nothing in it. I been to a lot of beaches and sunset beach is not one i will return to... plates or silverware

Great little place for a long weekend getaway!

Great little place to stay! Sheets and pillows could use some updating but overall had a great stay. I’ll be coming back for sure.

Great location

Very close to beach and pavilion, ice cream and coffee shops. Comfortable and pet friendly. Floors need a good cleaning but otherwise unit is in very good shape.

Beach Motel

This is an off-season halfway house for locals. I’m sure in the summer the crowd looks much different. I will tell you as an owner of vacation rentals myself, I would not risk even a single bad review for such a little amount of money. Not with what was going on over there at the motel. The property was noisy, you can hear right into other units. The property was also under construction, I was told by management after my booking and payment that motel was being repaired and to be painted sad I could not park in front of the doorway of the motel unit, use the street. All I smelt was smoke from cigarettes and marijuana all over the property. There was no formal couch, a cute little loveseat that pulled out which we attempted to do because there was no ottoman to put your feet up. My wife and I opened the sofa and found sex stains all over the sheets that were left inside. In that instant, we left the unit and did not return. We did not stay there at the motel for the last night. The management was communicative, and I do believe that the listing was accurate. However, there were several other variables as mentioned above that are factored into this review.

Beachy stay

Nice little motel room , clean close to the beach, close to golf , restuarants over all quite. Has some road noise and neighbor noise but it priced fairly

Fabulous location and accomodations

Property was clean and well maintained. Great for a long weekend trip with my husband and canine companion. I have always thought if I was going to the ocean/beach, I should pay the extra for an ocean view. This rental is so close to the beach - an easy and no major road crossing required - that I would definitely book here again.

Just as described

This efficiency was exactly as described. The room is on the small side, but that was expected. The location was great, the pool was nice and cool, and the room was very clean. The tv was a bit of a challenge but we figured it out. We will be back!

It was okay

The location is amazing- right across from the beach. The unit smelled like cigarettes when we got there, unfortunately this was most likely due to next door neighbors so not something the owners would be able to change. The unit looked clean but a few minor things made us think it wasn't. The shower looked like it was newer but there was sand still in the shower upon check-in. Additionally, we spilled some water on the floors when we checked in and wiped it with paper towels and when we looked on the paper towels after wiping it was brown making us think the floors hadn't been mopped in some time. It worked for us as we spent very little time there and we were there to visit friends with a house down the road. Overall, it's a beach motel that gives great access to the beach, a big bed and is pet-friendly but certainly not a luxury accommodation.

Get away weekend

Ok needed a getaway for my self and my dog. We had so much fun the property was wonderdul for just a weekend getaway, the only fall back was all day Saturday aboovr my room theybwere movong furniture hammering an making a ton of noise.

Nice Little Gem

Nice little place to stay. It looks exactly like the pictures. Great location; right across the street from Sunset Fishing Pier. The room contains a lot of hooks which is nice for hanging towels and bathing suits. The refrigerator is a nice size, and stays really cold. Would definitely stay here again.

Thirty-eight Years of Friendship

We were a bit thrown when we arrived. We missed the office hours so we had no parking pass. But we were assured by the maintenance gentleman that it would be fine. Turtles are my thing. I have over 100 of them. This room was like a dream come true! I loved the decor and the set up is so quaint!!! So our 30 year Reunion was this weekend. Not being part of the “in” crowd, we were not really as excited as some of the others. So we decided instead to go to the beach just the three of us. It was the most time we have been able to spend together in years. We summed, shopped, shared our stories, and really renewed our relationships. It was truly amazing and the setting was ideal!! We definitely want to return!
