The Canadiana room is a 1 bedroom studio suite with bathroom. Located at Mt Washington's beautiful Bear lodge. This studio is equipped with coffee, microwave, hot tub in building, TV, Wifi, table for two and a queen bed. Endless views and spectacular natural settings are free. Just what you need for an overnight or weekend getaway. Ski or ride in and out. This is a mountainside studio facing the Comox glacier and other coastal mountains. The Ski lodge is within short walking distance, suitable for mountain biking and new for this season zip lining.

Great little room right on the slopes

We had a great stay, really enjoyed the hot tub (make sure you book your spot) to help relax after a day on the slopes. Check in and out was a breeze.

Great little room. Everything we needed. No stove top or kitchen. Had good size mini Fridge, Microwave, kurig, toaster, dishes. Hot Tub was great. Make sure to book your time in the board by the tub.

Practical and comfy

I stayed but one night at this unit and it served me very well. While it doesn’t have a kitchen, it was set up practically and with attention to detail: a mini fridge, microwave, good coffee maker, and two sets of dishes at a sweet little table by the window. The bed was comfy and the shower was hot. Communication with the host was prompt, clear, and friendly. I would stay again for sure.

The basics gave us what we needed. It was summer and directly faces the afternoon sun so the room was warm and unfortunately the window hardly opened and the small desk fan was noisy... that aside, all was good!

Supposed to be a studio with kitchenette

It was a bedroom with in suite bathroom- no more no less Samples appliances added but caused power outage if operated 2 @ time Noisy fridge day and night/night- solution from the owner- unplug it at night- 20-25 degrees at night inside. Extreme smell of south Asian cooking every night for 2-3 hrs, sometimes in an ad well White towels- grey, old The dishes are supposed to be washed in the bathroom sink False posting

Review

The room was clean and quiet. It, however, lacked a few basic items such as teabags, sugar, a can opener and so forth. The bed was uncomfortably soft.

Great host and room

Our first visit to Mt Washington for the BC Cup DH race. Had a great stay with no issues. The host was avaliable and easy to communicate with and the room was clean and had everything we needed. Location is close to the lifts so ideal.

Perfect stay for a quick visit!

We went up to the mountain for a wedding, and this suite was perfect for our needs! Comfortable bed, very clean, the perfect amount of space to get ready and relax. Would absolutely stay again!

Mount Washington on shoulder season

The room was good however the windows were so dirty it was hard to see any if the scenery. It would have been nice to be told that there would be nothing open on the mountain. Had to drive to Courtney for food.

Overall an affordable and convenient place for 1 ir 2 ppl looking to spend a few days on the slopes. The easy ski in/ski out access eas a huge perk. Unfortunately the hot tub was closed for maintenance which, while not the fault of the host, was disappointing as that had been one of the reasons we had opted for this location specifically. Arrival, parking, check in and check out was seamless and there was enough in room that we were able to put together a few meals. Note that, especially on week days, the food options on the mountain are limited (we showed up to the one bar in the lodge hoping to grab a drink around 830pm and it was closed despite the online hours saying 10pm). The host provided combination of coffee maker, microwave, toaster and fridge was perfect to get along for a few days with the groceries we had brought. My only suggestions would be possibly offering a can opener as well as a little bin to tuck recyclables into for those apres ski cans. Otherwise it was a perfectly cosy spot for myself and my husband.
