Comox Valley Walk-On Oceanfront Cottage (B) At Udina Bay on Vancouver Island

2 Bedroom, walk on waterfront cottage, fully furnished, open floor plan, hot tub, parking, BBQ, year round accommodation located 10 minutes from the Comox Airport and 15 minutes from downtown Courtenay and Comox shopping. Built in 2014, modern, with TV, DVD, internet and wi-fi. Watch the ocean from the front patio with cruise ships passing by and all the wildlife the Comox Valley has to offer. Bates Beach is close by with boat and kayak rentals, boat launch and fishing opportunities. Mount Washington ski and recreation resort is 45 minutes away. Centrally located on Vancouver Island in the heart of recreation and culture with many possibilities close at hand.
The cottage also offers full laundry facilities, outside shower, wood burning fireplace/stove, the ocean facing bedroom has one queen bed, the second bedroom has 2 single beds. patio furniture and a kitchen with all appliances and utensils necessary to make your stay a pleasant one.
PLEASE NOTE base rental rate quoted is for 2 guests. There is an additional charge for each guest (including children) beyond 2.

Beautiful, cozy stay!

The cottage was so lovely! It was very well equipped with kitchen supplies, towels for both the bathroom hot tub/beach, and the beds were nice and comfortable. Everything was very clean when we arrived, too! The hot tub was amazing, and well-maintained. It was so nice having laundry and detergent provided, too. There was a small mixup at check-in (the guests who had rented the other one ended up taking our cottage) as the cottages themselves are unmarked, but Dianne arrived relatively quickly to sort things out. We would absolutely stay here again!!

A Unique, Peaceful, Refreshing Escape

Every person who stays in this gem of a location will have a unique experience. I stayed seven nights in October, and a friend came for two. The neighbourhood was empty and very quiet. The cottage had most of the comforts I needed. The highlight for me was being in the hot tub late one night in the dark, and hearing a whale blowing out its blowhole. It was amazing! I definitely would love to stay again, and can't say enough good things about staying there. I had an easy booking experience and Rosalie was great to communicate with online. She made every effort to help. I didn't see the owners, which was fine because I came for solitude. Obviously everything worked well in my cottage. I applaud and thank them for creating these two cottages for people to come and make beautiful memories!! I'm grateful!!

Great Family Stay

Beautiful cottage inside and out. Clean, very comfortable, quiet. Stunning vista of ocean and mountains. Lots of fun beach combing and watching seal and birds. Would go there again.

Expansive View

We felt totally relaxed in this cabin located right on the beach! There is a 160 degree view of the mountain range on the mainland~lots of eagle activity and we saw five herons fishing together at low tide. We enjoyed meeting the property owner when she brought us flower bouquets from her garden. We had everything we needed and our corgi was right at home too! It was close enough to visit Campbell River and take the ferry to Quadra Island. The hot tub was a nice addition. We would love to stay again in the future!

Wonderful cottage

This is our 4th stay at the Udina Bay cottages. There's a reason we keep coming back. The solitude, views and privacy are worth the drive from Victoria. The owner's are super easy and quick with communication. We will be back!

Ocean hideaway

Ocean front getaway

Great views from the beach front hot tub. Closest enough to Courtenay if you want to go to restaurants. Very well equipped. Very attentive host.

View was Great but some issues

This is a simple cabin that is comfortable enough as far as kitchen & living room goes. The oceanfront view is beautiful. The kitchen was equipped quite well with small appliances and cooking supplies. We weren’t happy with the cleanliness, particularly related to bedding. The beds are very uncomfortable and old. Hot tub was not clean when we got there but they came and cleaned it after we complained. The hot tub was nice and right on the patio. Parking is right beside the cabin. There is nice 2 sets of patio doors giving you a view from inside. We cut our trip short due to the bed hurting our backs. Hopefully they address this because the location is very nice.

Our New Island Fave!

This is the second time we have stayed here, and it is our new favorite property on Vancouver Island. It is literally on the water and you can simply look out the window and see the ocean. You can view all sorts of wildlife and if you like to watch Blue Heron's, this is your place. Cottage is well stocked with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Did I mention there is a hot tub you can use? Nothing like sitting outside and watching the stars from the hot tub. Great property!

we love staying at this cottage on coral beach. The ocean is magical, the beds are comfortable and location is great. we have a rescue kitty who’s older an indoor and leash train she loves it here. we look forward to returning soon.

Lovely seaside stay

My husband, baby, dog and I had an excellent stay at this lovely spot. The location can’t be beat; close to everything, yet tucked away and private. After putting baby to bed, we watched whales swim by while sitting in the hot tub. Peaceful yet exhilarating. And our host was both accommodating and available (communication was awesome). We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this perfect little cabin.

Ocean Therapy

Everything about this place was perfect for us. The cabin was comfortable, clean, spacious and well equipped. The location was amazing and peaceful. We did lots of ocean gazing and forest bathing and the dog enjoyed retrieving his ball from the ocean. We were all in heaven and we plan to go back.😊

Amazing Wildlife Show

This beautiful property gave us a front row seat to see so much of Vancouver Island’s wildlife. Surrounded by ocean and forest, it is a retreat from the busy world. The lovely quiet cottage had everything we needed, with very comfortable beds and pillows. We will definitely visit again and encourage family and friends to check it out:).

Love watching seals from the hot tub!

The host was very accommodating, considering that a guest who checked in ahead of us had erroneously settled into the cabin we had booked. Lots of beach walks, sea critters to watch and look for, clean comfy beds, and storm watching from the hot tub. A bit interesting to find, but the directions were great.

Island retreat

We stayed for four days in November, basking in the glorious views of the Mountains and beach 20 feet from the Cabin. The cabin was stocked perfectly with a tremendous amount of detail for every comfort. Exceptional. well maintained and dog friendly, hiking trails just minutes away. We'll be back!

We have lived in the Comox Valley most of our lives and owned this property since the early 1960's. In 2012 the cottage was rebuilt from the foundation up so it is new, modern, comfortable and a great place to relax and unwind. We wanted to share it's beauty.
