The Blue Heron - 1609 Snapper Lane

This house is modern and very clean. Construction was completed in September 2007. The decor is bright and cheerful...perfect for putting one in vacation mode. The warm, cozy atmosphere makes relaxing and unwinding a must.

It has a covered porch to sit on and enjoy the warm nights. It is built on stilts and allows parking for 2-3 cars. Note that Ocean Lakes charges a car pass fee per night per car. However, motorcycles are only allowed as far as a parking lot up front. You cannot park them at house. Short walk from lot to house. I have no control over this. A private outdoor shower is available for rinsing off after a long day at the beach. It is the perfect vacation spot for couples or small families. I do require a minimum age of 25 to rent. Stated rate is for up to 4 guests. An additional charge of $10/night will apply for the 5th or 6th person. FYI - outside security cameras are in use at this property.

The House is 2 blocks back from the Ocean which is a short walk or golf cart ride. Golf carts are available for rent onsite at Ocean Lakes.

Perfect week in the perfect house

My parents loved their 55th anniversary present, a trip to ocean lakes. They said the house was an amazing house and had everything you need for a vacation. I highly recommend this property.

The Blue Heron

Loved the house layout and decor. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a great meal. The deck was perfect for morning coffee and a good book. House wasn’t as clean as I would like, but I think that’s on the cleaning crew and not the homeowner.

Enjoyed our stay

House was just like listing and pictures. Clean and everything included. Only thing we ran into was the front door was unlocked upon arrival and downstairs was covered in pollen which is normal for this time of year. I would recommend washing off between stays. Otherwise everything was great.

Beautiful house

Great stay!

We loved this house! Everything we needed was there. Extremely clean. Plenty of space to park car, trailer and golf cart. Loved our trip! Would definitely stay again.

Really enjoyed our stay

We stayed for a week and we really enjoyed our stay. The house is on a quiet street but still close to the beach and other amenities. House was clean and well kept and had plenty of room for our family of four. The host was very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend this house and host.

Better than expected

The photos online do not give this beautiful beach house justice. It's cozy, well stocked and is in a quiet area of the campground. It was wonderful!

Great beach getaway!

My husband and I came into town for the Myrtle Beach marathon and this was the perfect weekend getaway. Clean house and great kitchen for cooking.

Great getaway

We enjoyed everything about this house. The host was great & was very prompt to answer answer questions I had. The house was the perfect size for our family. It was very clean, fully stocked kitchen. Everything we could have asked for!

Ok stay at Blue Heron

We were happy with the house space, unfortunately there were issues with our stay, The heating system was extremely loud when it came on in the main bedroom which made it very difficult to get a good night’s sleep every night. The refrigerator was also very loud which was a nuisance while watching TV. Last was an issue which was not under control of the owner. The water was shut off two days in row without any notice for an hour plus.
