River view guesthouse getaway, affectionately known as "The Racoon House", offers open concept newly renovated kitchen; cozy gas fireplace in living room to enjoy conversation, games, take care of business, or catch up with facebook friends with wireless internet provided. Our house comfortably sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms with one king, one full and 2 twin beds. The two bathrooms have showers and 1 has a shower/tub combo. If you need it, full laundry facilities are on the main level. Enjoy coffee and conversation indoor or outside on "flora and fauna" landscaped property. Downtown LeClaire is blocks away providing shopping, distilleries, restaurants, Buffalo Bill museum and American Pickers sights. The Raccoon House is located 1 block from Mississippi River with nearby boat launch and it is 8-10 minutes away from TBK Sports complex (via nearby 1-80), shopping, movies, restaurants and casinos. Minimum 2 nights stay. Discount provided for extended stays. You are always welcome here!

Awesome communication with the hosts. Walk through at check-in to answer any questions. Plenty of room for 4 guys in the area to play golf.

The raccoon house is quaint, clean and easily accessible. The owners, Karen and Shawn greeted us, gave us a tour of their beautiful property and shared the vegetables from their garden..they are so friendly. I will stay there again. We had a wonderful week in their lovely cottage.

I can’t say enough about how much work they put into this property to really make your stay charming. Little details everywhere. Karen was so helpful. It was definatley like staying at a friends house.

Great setting, wonderful host!

This was a perfect setting for our trip on the Riverboat Twilight, docked in LeClaire. The host was very easy to work with, met us upon arrival (they live next door) and had great suggestions for meals. The house is clean, with great beds and rooms, and well stocked. We were sorry to have to leave.

Great location & very comfortable

The location was great for our purposes. Very close to the Le Claire downtown area. The owner lives right next door and is very nice! The outdoor area was peaceful and beautiful. Being close to the river there are a lot of bugs but once inside you're fine. We slept well on the many beds and there were portable fans available. We love white noise. We'd be happy to stay again.

Raccoon house

Lovely house, in a great location. We were attending a wedding and reception at a nearby venue, this house was perfect for our group. Host communication was great and the property is very clean.

Wonderful stay again at the Raccoon House. Next time we are in Le Claire we will not hesitate to stay here again. The property and owners are great!

Just loved this spot!

Karen was an awesome host whom we now call friend. Her attention to detail & Racoon decor made this a fun stay w/ everything we needed & more. The king bed was very comfortable. The location above the Mississippi and all the gardens provided a beautiful location. We enjoyed seeing all the wildlife. Le Claire is a pretty river town with an interesting museum & River trips. I 80 affords accessibility. We hope to return in the future.

Racoon House

We came here for the week to take a 2 day trip on the Mississippi River. The boat trip was canceled due to high water, but we found other things to do. We still had a good get away!

Cozy and convenient

The perfectly well appointed house with everything we needed and a great floor plan for a VRBO. The exterior of the house had a ton of gorgeous flowers and landscaping making the indoor and outdoor spaces perfect to relax in between sightseeing. Conveniently located just two turns and two minutes from lovely downtown Le Claire. And the host was extremely friendly and kind. Definitely recommend this property!

Family Getaway

This beautiful guesthouse was such a perfect place for my family to stay while traveling to LeClaire for a family graduation. The house was charming, very clean and stocked with everything you could need. We really enjoyed the gorgeous yard and the views. The hosts could not have been more inviting and helpful! We had a wonderful time and will definitely stay here again when we come back!

very cute house

Very cute inviting home, lots of space and very clean. The outside had lots of space and the views of the Mississippi was nice, close to everything we wanted to see and do. The owners were very nice and helpful, would be our first pick to stay there again.

Adorable getaway!

Loved our time staying at this house for a weekend! In town for basketball tournaments, and enjoyed being able to have some quiet downtime in between games. Owners were amazing and very helpful with the stay!

Family stay

My stepmom and I returned to LeClaire for a family event. In the end, she and I were the only two that stayed here. We had plenty of room to spread out, and having two bathrooms is a luxury so we could both get ready at the same time. The toaster quit working the first morning, and the owner brought her own toaster over immediately. What service! The area is in a quiet residential area with a beautiful view of the river.

Raccoon House

The house and grounds are beautiful. Karen, our host, was welcoming and very helpful and gave us a tour of the house when we arrived. She kept in contact during our stay and gave us helpful information regarding restaurants and sites. The house is beautiful and we lacked for nothing. The raccoon house is a gem and I know we will be back.
