Beautiful New Glarus, WI Apartment

We are renting the Lower level of our personal residence. The lower level is equipped with a microwave, stocked mini-fridge (complimentary beverages), stocked Keurig (complimentary coffee), 1 bedroom (Queen bed), living area and bathroom. Renters will have access to the outdoor pool (in season), outdoor hot tub, fire pit, patio with table and chairs. Location is close to downtown New Glarus ( 2 miles), the New Glarus Brewery (<1mile) New Glarus Woods state park/bike path (<1 mile) and Baileys Run Winery (4 miles). Madison/Verona is only a 20-25 minute drive. Monroe is a 20 minute drive south.
We have a friendly dog that reside on the property.
Separate entrance is available as well as driveway parking.

Nice location. Just out of town. Very quiet. We didn’t take advantage of the pool or hot tub, but very nice and inviting.

Kim and Joe were excellent hosts and communicated every step of the way. Their property is beautiful, clean and very welcoming! We were there for Cheese Days and loved its proximity to Monroe. We highly recommend their place for your stay, whether it’s a weekend getaway or catching a Badger game (a short drive to Madison), you can’t go wrong.

We enjoyed everything about this VRBO. It was clean, updated and so comfortable! The property/grounds were beautiful and the view was absolutely gorgeous! The owners were very friendly and accommodating, checking in with us several times to make sure everything was going well. We didn’t get a chance to get in the pool but the hot tub was very relaxing after a long day. We HIGHLY recommend this VRBO!!

We had a wonderful stay! It was a very private beautiful setting. The hot tub & firepit are right out your back door. The bed was very comfortable & the living room very cozy. We loved New Glarus & the surrounding towns. Joe, Kim & Stella, their adorable doodle, were very welcoming. Joe even helped us locate bikes to rent to enjoy the beautiful trails in the area.

Joe was extremely helpful and welcoming upon our arrival. The accommodations were clean,comfortable, and had a homey feel. The location was a great convenient base for heading into New Glarus, surrounding towns, and local attractions. We would stay again for sure!

We had a great weekend! Lots to explore in the area and some great food! Our accommodations were very clean, comfy, and cozy. Really enjoyed the hot tub right outside our door and the complimentary cold drinks in our refrigerator. Our host, Joe, was very friendly and helpful (Kim was away for the weekend). Great communication and great stay! Would highly recommend.

the hot tub was amazing - we got in early on a chilly morning, watched the sunrise, and even saw a rainbow! Pool was closed for the season but looked great as well.

The accommodations in this basement apartment were very comfortable. The property grounds were beautiful and well-maintained. We enjoyed the beautiful view from the patio. The host was very friendly and helpful. The reason we did not give it five stars was because of the dog. The owner warned us in advance that the dog could come and go freely through the dog door. The dog was friendly when the owner was there to greet us. But when we returned to the property at night when the owner was not present, the dog did not seem to recognize us and seemed like she was trying to defend her territory. We tried greeting her by name, we tried bribing her with food from our car, but nothing calmed her. She stood on the path blocking our way down to the apartment barking aggressively and growling. (It was not a friendly or curious bark.) There was no way for us to get past her to the apartment, so we had to wait in our car until she went around the side, then make a quick dash for the apartment. She followed us to the glass door and stood there barking for almost a half an hour. We tried calming her with some of the treats that the owner left us just in case, but they didn’t seem to help. Eventually she lost interest and went back in the house. We were reluctant to go back out to our car in the dark for fear that she’d come back out. She seemed quite different when her owner was not around.

Excellent Stay

We loved staying here! It’s a great location and the apartment was clean and well maintained. The hot tub was a nice way to start the morning, overlooking the beautiful view. The hosts were accommodating and so kind!

Beautiful yard with a view

We loved the beautiful outdoor space with the pool and hot tub! The apartment was comfortable and very clean and stocked with drinks! We had a great stay!

Check-in and check-out was easy. Kim and Joe were super accommodating and great communicators. The apartment was very clean and nicely decorated. It had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. Lastly, the property had great proximity to New Glarus and all the area had to offer! We would definitely stay here again.

This was our 2nd stay here and we had a great experience! The accommodations are awesome (everything you need for a weekend away, including coffee, water and a few bottles of beer), a comfortable couch, great TV service and the most comfortable bed (way nicer than a hotel!). The shower is equipped with shampoo, conditioner and body wash, so literally you have everything you need. Plus our hosts are awesome and even dug us out of the 6" of snow we got that weekend AND brushed off our car for us. We highly recommend this place when you find yourself in or near New Glarus!
