Héctor our host communicated with us before our stay to make check in very easy. The location is great if you are doing excursions in the rainforest and the islands off of the east coast. You would be staying in more of a local area than a tourist. So you may have to make the drive to San Juan if you want to eat at some overpriced places and do a little shopping. I prefer the local vibe. So we really enjoyed our stay.

We loved staying at Aquatika. So much to do there. Nice pools and private beach area was great. It's a great location...close to beautiful beaches and El Yunque rainforest and not far from San Juan. The apartment itself was perfect for us. We have 3 college age daughters and each had their own space with one taking over the upstairs loft. Hector responded quickly to questions and was a wonderful host.

Hector was a wonderful host. The villa was beautiful and perfect for our family trip. I’d highly recommend for those who want to travel with a big group and stay in a safe environment with amenities like a pool, private beach, basketball courts and more. Having a car is a must because rideshare isn’t available in this area, but we were able to dine at some of the most delightful local restaurants, and learn about the incredible history of Loíza. I will absolutely be coming back!

We had a great stay in Aquatika Loiza resort, Mr. Hector made sure everything was ready to go by the time of our arrival. The location was great for easy access to El Yuenque rain forest and beaches over in Luquillo. Drive into old San Juan to see the forts and walk the city was only about 35 minutes. Food in the area was great, there were many local restaurants to choose from. Would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit Puerto Rico.

The place is well maintained. Really nice pools, 4 pf them plus big hot tubs. Secure and private. Within 30-40 mins to rain Forrest, bio kayaking, old city San Juan and airport. Small beach. The property manager was extremely communicative.

This place was as advertised. The host kept in touch throughout our stay, even taking the time to warn us about unsafe beach conditions due to rough surf/rip tides. Always love when laundry can be done in the places we stay. There were so many pool/whirlpool options and if is extremely kid-friendly!

We stayed for 8 days, went to the beach every da,y and watched the sun raise on the roof top patio several mornings.We enjoyed the location. It's outside of the craziness of San Juan, but still close. A convenience store and a places to get food or within walking distance. It's not far from the rainforest which was more fun than expected and we visited there 3 times.It's in a gated community and I felt comfortable with my teenagers walking around by themselves.

Very welcoming. Very informative. Access and support was easy. Informed about rough tides and staying out of the Beach water. Place was amazing! Everyone was so welcoming in the community! Our condo was very clean. We stayed during a hurricane and our host was very responsive. Aside from losing power periodically which wasn’t the hosts fault. It was a wonderful stay. Loved that we had a washer/dryer in the unit as well.

Absolutely amazing stay. Apartment was well equipped with everything you could think of. Bring yourself and food and be prepared to enjoy an incredible stay. Loved all the options for pools and the beach access. Very clean, very welcoming. 10/10 Would highly recommend! We will be back!

Vacation with family who live there in Puerto Rico.

Location was safe, roomy, very clean, and very beautiful. It's located in a semi-remote area, so a rental car is a must.

Aquatika was a great location for a very busy week-long visit to Puerto Rico. We took multiple trips to Ceiba for the ferry, and it was close to San Juan, El Yunque, Luquillo, and tons of amazing beaches. We also appreciated that there was a Walmart and multiple great restaurants and kiosks within a 15 minute drive.Hector is an amazing host—he communicates well, and really took the time to make sure we had a great stay, with suggestions for the area, as well as important things like beach safety in PR and accessing the property easily. He’s friendly and very kind, and felt like having a local guide on your side!The apartment and property were perfect for our needs. The amenities in both were great, especially for families with children. Plenty of sleeping space, a great kitchen, and awesome outdoor spaces. I’ve seen other reviews complain about cleanliness in the apartments at Aquatika—I suspect what they are seeing is just the effect that an island atmosphere has on any building. We found everything to be very clean, with the rust and wear that comes with island living. Nothing problematic at all, in my opinion. The only small caution for me is the guard situation at the resort—you have to wear non-removable wristbands for your entire stay, and show them (for every family member) at the guard shack on your way into the property every time you enter. Not a huge deal, but the bands were super annoying, and my Autistic kiddo hated it. Overall an incredible stay!

Honestly, the resort was a nice place to unwind and relax. There were multiple pools and a few restaurants in walking range. Not really much to complain about the apartment or the grounds.The problem that I have is that the original listing was a bait and switch. It is not 10 minutes from the airport or close to San Juan like the listing said. As soon as I requested the booking, I was sent a notice saying that the place was 35 minutes from the airport and was not the original location on the map. I was given a discount when I asked for one, but it still was a bit unsettling that it wasn’t the location that I was expecting. So rent a car and you’ll be fine.

Great resort

Great family resort with a lot of pools and space to run around. Lazy river was under construction but there were four other pools to play around in. Hector was a great host. Very communicative, available and responsive.
