West Glacier Adobe House

Our Adobe home is unique home with historic charm located in West Glacier. This home was completely remodeled with original and recycled materials like our clawfoot bath tub, cast iron sinks and vintage fixtures. We are located in a quiet neighborhood just across the street from the West entrance of Glacier National Park. The home is very quiet with privacy and a wrap around deck with bbq area. The home has two private bedrooms with one queen bed in each, located upstairs from the main living area. The additional sleeping area is located upstairs in an alcove open area that features one twin bed. Upstairs also offers one 1/2 bath. The downstairs area offers the main living area with an open floor plan that includes a kitchen, dining area, laundry with new washer & dryer & one full size bathroom with clawfoot tub. Our living area also features a gas fireplace and flatscreen smart tv. Please note: West Glacier has a working railroad line that runs parallel to the town and any rentals in the area. The history of Glacier is based on these rail lines and part of the area history.

Please note: Montana can become very dry and cause us to be in High Fire Danger. Our fire pits are not guaranteed to be available due to these constant changing conditions. Please inquire with us prior to your arrival should you have any questions about our fire pit availability.

Our property sleeps no more than 5 guests max. Please note, we adhere to the reservation total guest at time of reservation.
Wifi speed: 6mbps Up to 6M Downstream / 500K Upstream

The adobe house is not pet friendly. At time of reservation, we do require reserved guest to sign a rental agreement. Our confirmation email will include the link to the agreement from Glacier View Vacation Rentals.

2026 Reservations: We will open our calendar to all 2025 reservations starting August 1st, 2025. Please check back with us, to reserve your spot with us.

Please note: Winter season for our area runs from December - March. We do recommend 4wd and Awd vehicles this time of year. Our firepit is not available during this season.

Exceptional getaway

The charm, history and location of the Adobe house is amazing. While it was just a short distance from the park entrance, somedays we were just tempted to stay and enjoy the magic of this beautiful home. It was a welcome retreat that provided a much needed respite.

Perfect location and Montana experience.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. We felt welcomed as soon as we pulled up. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepared breakfasts and dinners. Outdoor seating was relaxing, allowing us a chance to sit and enjoy the surroundings after long days in the park. Christie was quick with responses to questions, even let us know GTSR had opened on our first morning at Adobe.

West Glacier Adobe House

Beautiful, rustic home with all the conveniences you could want and well stocked. The house is very charming and comfortable and close to the entrance of Glacier. Fire pit was great after long days of hiking and being able to relax and rest our tired feet! Really enjoyed our time at the Adobe House, GNP and in West Glacier.

Love it!

This is an awesome place to stay from which to experience Glacier National Park. Christie is a great manager. Very helpful and responsive. The one thing that would make this a 5 star is the bathing/showering facilities. They are a bit hard to use and could use some technical improvement. Otherwise it's a great, rustic - mountain home.

Fantastic Glacier Lake Experience

The Adobe House was perfect for our family vacation to Glacier Park. It is located just outside of the west entrance to the park and convenient to the highway to travel to Many Glacier and Two Medicine. It is a quaint, well-appointed home with all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay. The property manger, Christie was very communicative and made certain that everything about our stay was just right. Thanks! We highly recommend Adobe House!

Highly recommend this property.

Great property for access to the park. Loved the history of the site (1937), and the updates were well done and seemed in keeping with the era. It had everything you need for a cabin-in-the-woods experience plus all our modern needs .ie..wifi, DW, washer/dryer, etc. We really enjoyed the outdoor fire pit but, you do have to furnish your own wood supplies. Good times!

Charming house in a great location

The house was in a perfect location for visiting Glacier. Furnished with everything we needed except air conditioning. The house has old wood floors and stairs that creak loudly and this was a problem for us since we had a 9 month old with us. No insulation between floors or rooms so noise was an issue. Just something to know that we wished we had known. It’s also near a train track and the trains are loud at night if the windows are open. Which need to be in the summer. Otherwise great house. Loved the outdoor space.

House was as described and very nice. Clean. The grill, and outdoor area was great.

Nice property as described. Peaceful and quiet but very close to access GTTS road. Suggestion would be better lighting on the porch and steps to better navigate (and not trip!) in the dark.

West Glacier getaway 2022

Quaint house with lots of charm! Location to the west entrance to GNP was superb! Within walking distance to shops and food, yet tucked away in a nice wooded area so it seemed off the beaten path. The resident black bear was entertaining (from the windows of the cabin!) Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Adobe House in West Glacier!

Charming Glacier cottage

We loved our stay in the adobe house. The location is ideal for exploring the west glacier area. The home had everything we needed for cooking, enjoying fires in the evening and relaxing after long days exploring the park. We especially enjoyed reading about the history of the cabin and it’s owners. Clearly a lot of work went into expanding/re-furnishing the home while also maintaining its original character. A very special place that we hope to return to one day.
