Stony Broke Ranch private retreat, eight miles from Glacier
Our rental is a one level beautiful home, at the base of Desert Mountain, on a family ranch, established in 1955. Abbott creek flows through our ranch, and is filled with tiny brook trout. Our private location is three miles from Hungry Horse Reservoir, and eight miles from the Glacier National Park entrance.
We are nestled off of Spotted Bear Road, a quiet, and gorgeous setting on twenty two, private acres, with national forests hugging our property. Very private home, with endless natural surroundings.
Our floor plan is open, with a spacious professional kitchen, and large, comfortable living room. Twenty three foot ceilings, and floor to ceiling windows, to bring the outdoors in.
Walking, hiking, riding, and all wonderful outdoor activities await.
Horses, and many other wild, and native animals, give a great feel, and entertainment. We are proud to share our family ranch with you, your friends and family.
THIS HOME IS CLEANED BY THE OWNER.
CLEANLINESS IS OF TOP PRIORITY.
Additional cleaning supplies will be provided, for the use of our guests, for additional peace of mind.
We understand our guests want to feel safe, and comfortable in their home away from home.

The pictures do not do this beautiful mountain house, justice! The house was immaculately clean and every little detail was well thought out including labels to let you know where everything was in the kitchen. The hosts were so kind and helpful. I would give this house an A rating

Beautiful house and location. We were up early most mornings and enjoyed the short drive to the west entrance of Glacier. Melissa was a great host and very responsive in our communications. The house has everything you need in the kitchen and the beds are super comfortable. And you can't beat sitting in the hot tub after hiking everyday!

Love love love this house (and the hosts)! This VRBO is an awesome place to stay for your trip to Glacier NP. It is clean, comfortable and oh so relaxing! The beds are more comfortable than my bed at home. The kitchen is well stocked with nice cookware, dishes, and plenty of incidentals. The area is soooo peaceful and relaxing. It is the best VRBO I have ever stayed in. The hosts Melissa and Beau, couldn’t be more helpful and accommodating. If/when I come back to Glacier, I will definitely stay here.

Outstanding property and host. Melissa has thoughtfully provided everything you could possibly need. Ideally located very near the West entrance to Glacier. The house is beautiful as is the setting. We are seniors and everything was perfect for us. Melissa lives nearby and there is comfort in knowing someone is watching out for you. For hikers and active people she has coolers and bear spray available for use as well as anything else you may need. Our hosts gave us many tips on local sights for us to visit. A very special experience for us.

This property is amazing! It’s close to West Glacier. It is beyond fully equipped. Melissa has done a beautiful job making this house feel like a home! I can’t think of anything it doesn’t have. The wildlife that appears on the property is a bonus! The hot tub was great after long hikes!

By far one of the best VRBO stays we’ve had. The property is perfect and the owner was an absolute pleasure to work with. With close proximity, we enjoyed most everyday in the park. Montana has some of the most beautiful country I’ve ever seen, and the Montanans make it feel like home. Please take time to check out The Sharing Shack in Columbia Falls and try to donate if you can. We’ve never hated packing our suitcases more than we did this morning.

We had the most wonderful time and being able to stay at your house only added to it. From the moment we stepped in the door, we loved it. Absolutely beautiful home w everything you could possibly need/think of and more. Super clean and the best smells everywhere. The hot tub was great and the views were the best. We had a sweet doe visit every morning and evening and the flower garden was a favorite!! Melissa and Beau are the nicest people and it was so neat hearing the history of their beautiful place and land. Thank you for sharing your amazing home with us!!

Stop looking and book this house now! It is hands down the most well equipped rental we have ever stayed in. Melissa’s thoughtfulness really shines as there is no detail overlooked. She thought of providing things that I never would have considered. The house is beautiful, pictures do not truly do it justice. The setting is gorgeous and so peaceful. It is conveniently located with easy access to GNP and an easy drive to Whitefish as well. Great beds, great bathrooms and a kitchen I would like to take home with me. The hot tub is an added bonus for tired legs. These are VRBO owners who clearly love their property and are true hosts!

I booked this home for my in-laws for their anniversary trip and it did not disappoint. They said it was the best place they had ever stayed and loved how peaceful it was.

Great Home Base
Our family had a great stay. The property was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. It is a quiet setting and a great home base for adventures around the area.

Beautiful home and property only 8 miles to Glacier National Park. Very well furnished and organized too! We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub or around the fire pit after a long day of exploring and hiking.

This was the perfect Glacier home away from home and exceeded our expectations. The hosts were very thoughtful of all the little details. We highly recommend staying at the Stony Broke Ranch.

This property was better than expected. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything that we needed. The property was beautifully maintained. They even had a jacuzzi that we used during the stay. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.
