If you are looking for the Montana experience, this is the place! Now with a new, bigger front deck for more space to enjoy the MT evenings!

This beautiful private log home is secluded on 40 acres, and located just minutes from Glacier National Park. The cabin has 1 bedroom, 2 bathrooms with room to sleep 2 adults and 1 kid. There is 1 queen bed, with a beautiful log frame and 1 twin bed, more suitable for a child.

This cabin is the perfect home base for your Glacier vacation. Rafting, hiking, fishing, and biking are just a few of the activities you and your family can enjoy in the area. Bring your camera, out door gear, and sunscreen!

After your day in Glacier, come back to your secluded cabin with your loved ones and enjoy a nice meal, movie, or fire in the outdoor fire pit.

Note: This cabin is in the forest. You will have some insects (gnats, mosquitoes, flies, and spiders) at anytime throughout the year. There will be wild animals such as but not limited to bats, deer, gophers, elk, bears, and other animals around the cabin as well. Please be aware of these and prepare accordingly.

Better than expected!!

I’ll tell you this, the pictures don’t do it justice! It’s tucked away, but just far enough away to feel both hidden, and close enough to town that you’re not too far away from anything needed. The now was amazing, and the fireplace was soooo warm and cozy. I will definitely look this little place up again as soon as possible!

Lovely log cabin surrounded by woods. Nice and secluded. It was great to be that close to the park. I would recommend to everybody.

Glacier Vacation

A fairytale log cabin set in the woods just three miles from Glacier NP west entrance. The host, Ryan, is responsive, and professional. We were a day early arriving and the cabin was available and clean so we were allowed to extend our six days to sven.

Hikers Haven

Perfect location to GNP, private, cozy cabin close to Lake Five and offering spectacular Mountain View. Beautiful yard and a relaxing front porch glider. We chose the spot because we wanted to do our own meals and the cabin offers a full kitchen- could use more glassware and a new set of pots/pans with covers- both easy and inexpensive items to add. Overall a terrific stay.

West Glacier Log Cabin

Secluded log cabin very close (10 minutes) from West Glacier National Park entrance. Ideal base camp for GNP day trips! Host is excellent.

Idyllic Cabin in the Woods

We loved staying in Grandma's Cabin. It is a charming cabin that completely secluded and surrounded by pine trees. It is ideal!

Nice cabin close to west entrance of GNP

Nice log cabin that sleeps 2 adults and 2 kids with a wonderful front porch. Had lots of fun grilling and resting memories by the campfire. We had a group of about 8 and the rest stayed at the nearby “Grandpa’s Cabin”

Nice place with some room for improvement

Overall this is a quant cabin in the woods. It is an authentic log cabin and it feels homey. The kitchen is poorly stocked, with old and worn Out pots and pans, and no serving bowls for salads etc, and did Not feel particularly clean. There is a tip jar on the table for the cleaning person. The pillows are uncomfortable.

Cozy cabin, quiet yet close to the park

This cabin was just lovely! We spent so much time outside on the front deck, feeling like we were a million miles from other people. The wooden construction of the house was beautiful, everything worked as it was supposed to, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Yet we were a mere 8 minute drive to the park! If we return to Glacier, I would definitely want to stay here again.

Awesome Cabin!

We used this as a home base for visiting West Glacier NP and it felt like we were sleeping in the park itself. Super close to the entrance and secluded enough that we didn’t see any other houses/cabins. Really enjoyed sitting on the second floor decks and relaxing after the day was done. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Romantic Retreat

We had a delightful stay at this charming one-bedroom cabin nestled in the mountains and countryside. From the moment we stepped inside, we were impressed by how impeccably clean and adorable the space was. Amenities were very adequate making our stay comfortable and convenient. The surrounding countryside was simply breathtaking, offering serene views and endless opportunities for outdoor adventures. Additionally, the host was accommodating and easy to reach, ensuring that our experience was stress-free from start to finish. We can't wait to return to this peaceful retreat in the mountains!

Great cabin for couple- excellent location to the park. Top quality wood work , enjoyed the outside fire pit. Very quiet and peaceful. Will book again when the area.

Would Not Recommend

We stayed at Grandmas Cabin for two evenings. The location to Glacier is perfect. It is just a quick drive to the west entrance. The cabin has a nice porch for viewing the wildlife near the property. We saw a white tail doe and fawn. We appreciated the hosting notebook left in the cabin with listings of favorite hikes and local restaurants. Accessing the cabin was easy and instructions for check in were timely. Communication was good. However, the inside cleanliness of the cabin leaves a lot to be desired. It was full of hundreds of flying gnats and some spiders and several large spider webs. The toilets, showers, sinks, and beds were covered in dead insects. The bathroom towels were still wet and had dead insects all over them. It was bad enough that we had to sleep with a sheet over our heads so we weren’t kept up all night from the gnats flying around our faces. Additionally, the cabin needs a very deep cleaning. This was more of a 2-3 star experience. Very disappointing.

Amazing cabin in a perfect location!

Cabin was perfect! Only a few minutes from West Glacier entrance. No close neighbors. Lake just right down the drive. Very secluded with a nice yard to relax in.

Refreshing Stay for West Glacier

July 12-14th in Grandma’s Cabin - what a wonderful location for husband & I to get away & get to visit.Really close to West Glacier National Park Entrance, Flathead Lake or Lake Five. Very handy. There’s some nice up date ‘s done there on Cabin. Bedroom is upstairs, not to many stairs & has a railing. Nice outside area & wonderful picnic table on front porch . We had coffee & saw a few deer on one of days. Hummingbirds & ground squirrels every day.Pretty flowers around , easy to eat outside if u like. *Could have room for a couple more people , Or kids mostly I think best. *Curtains for semi privacy upstairs- Queen bed & a full bed that’s with a trundle. Nice woodmanship thru out the home with nice touches. Weather for us was fabulous & loved grilling out & enjoying nature in this private setting.10 min to nice stores, restaurants & huckleberry ice cream or coffee shops. Happy traveling ! Chris

Glacier Retreat

Everything about this much loved cabin was perfect. Isolated and private with great care taken for interior detail and outdoor landscaping. We loved visiting Glacier, but spending a few days here was the real vacation.

Peaceful Paradise!

This is the perfect getaway! Quite, peaceful and lots of wildlife to see right off the front porch! The views are spectacular from the balcony. The cabin is equipped with everything you need and then some! This was our second visit and we are already planning another very soon!

Perfect location, beautiful cabin & property

We enjoyed several blue sky days at Grandmas cabin. It has all the needed amenities to prepare meals at the cabin. The fire pit was perfect on a crisp fall evening & the night sky was breathtaking. Perfect location to access GNP.

Our family grew up in Shelby, MT and used to spend family weekends at the Lake 5 resort. We bought our first summer cabin on Lake 5 in July of 1984 and have been enjoying Lake 5 and Glacier National Park ever since. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
