Come enjoy this cozy cabin retreat for relaxation, featuring all the comforts and amenities of home. You'll enjoy sitting on the deck of this woodsy cabin breathing in the fresh air of the surrounding pine, cedar and oak trees. Nearby activities include hiking trails, fishing, boating, swimming, skiing, wine tasting, and fine dining. Visit the Sugar Pine Railroad or see a play at the local historic Golden Chain Theatre.

The cabin is two miles from The Forks Resort at Bass Lake and less than 20 miles from the south entrance to Yosemite National Park. The town of Oakhurst is 6 miles away with shopping, restaurants, wine bars, a brew pub, and a movie theater. Nearby is the historic town of Mariposa, located 30 miles away.

This beautiful cabin sleeps up to 6 people. The entry-level has an open kitchen and dining area, a cozy living room and a bedroom that has a queen bed and a full bath. Upstairs has a bedroom with a Cal King and a full bath with a large loft for relaxing, playing games and hanging out.

We had an amazing time at Jason & Heidi's cabin! We were visiting the Bass Lake area to potentially purchase a cabin ourselves. So to see the area, stay in a beautiful cabin, relax, fish, and enjoy the outdoors was amazing. 5/5 recommend :)

Great find!

This is an incredible location and great place to stay, especially if you are heading to Bass Lake. I would bring more blankets and pillows if you have 6 people staying, not much was provided. But lots of other amenities!

Very Comfortable

Had a great time staying here. Everything was clean and as listed. The hosts were very welcoming and even checked in on us. Everything was nicely laid out and easy to use. In the middle of July the summer heat was intense. But with the central AC we were all very comfortable inside the cabin. I would definitely recommend this place. In the

A bit misleading, some hidden up charges

The property itself was nice, but had no lake view and was definitely not truly in the water nor was it feasibly accessible by anything other than a car. I’ve also never had owners who were so finicky about number of people staying, and there were some hidden up charges around that. They also messaged and deducted from the security deposit for some pretty minor stuff some of which we definitely didn’t have anything to do with. If we return to bass lake I think we’ll choose a different property that’s actually on the water.

Cozy Cabin near Yosemite

Our stay at the Cozy Cabin near Bass Lake was a perfect place to relax after full hiking/exploring days at Yosemite. We will definitely consider staying again for our next Yosemite trip!!

Family Bass Lake Stay

My family and I loved staying at this cabin! Everyone had their own space and the large patio was a really nice touch. The distance from the lake was about 10 minutes which made it convenient for fishing and swimming. Overall, it was a perfect stay.

Great escape

Wonderful Bass Lake Cabin

We had a wonderful time at the Bass Lake Cabin. The cabin was very neat and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. The cabin was a short drive to Bass Lake, which made it very convenient. Thank-you for sharing your cabin with us.

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was a great location and the cabin was great. It was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Excellent family destination

The cabin is really nicely decorated, very clean, and extremely well stocked, especially the kitchen and the play area upstairs. We played a lot of board games and spent a lot of time at the foosball table. We also enjoyed the wood stove. Bass lake is a very short drive away. The hosts were really great and easy to reach. I highly recommend this property.

Amazing Vacation

The property was very clean and well maintained. It was very easy to communicate with the owners. The location of the property is very close to Bass Lake. We had an amazing time staying at the Balsam Cabin for Labor Day Weekend 2022 and we are planning to go back to the cabin for 2023.

Nice, clean, comfortable home

Booked last minute to meet other family who were staying at Bass Lake. The home was clean and comfortable. We didn’t get a chance to take advantage of all the amenities the home had to offer because we were at the lake all day but we definitely appreciated the central air conditioning! The home is close to a market if you forget anything and it’s about a 15 minute drive to the Bass Lake Boat Rental.

Balsam Cabin

Great location. Only 2 miles from Bass Lake. Hosts were wonderful and checked on us when we were there. Cabin was very clean and comfortable. Will be back again!

Balsam cabin was super perfect for my family. Owners made the stay for us perfect from beginning to end - very responsive. Cabin was close enough to Bass Lake, surrounding area was peaceful & quiet, had all the amenities needed for our entire stay - recommend for anyone wanting to relax & enjoy nature. 5 star rating!!!!

Our home away from home!

I just love the Balsam cabin! My #1 choice when visiting the area. I have stayed several times as it is the perfect place for a getaway with family or friends. It is always clean and accommodating and the owners are fantastic! The cabin is adorable and meets all our needs. The location is close to Bass Lake and Yosemite, making it the perfect vacation spot. I would recommend the Balsam cabin to anyone looking for the perfect home away from home!

A Home Away From Home!

We just love the Balsam cabin! It truly feels like a home away from home. My daughter loved it and was able to experience snow for the first time. The cabin has everything you need for the perfect getaway. The owners are incredibly thoughtful and easy to work with. We will definitely be back!

Quiet and relaxing.

Great quiet place to stay. The owners were very responsive and easily accessible through the whole booking/check in process. It was our second time back and we will be back again for sure.
