Central to all the mountains offer. Close to several Event Venues and Asheville, NC. Location makes a great Basecamp for all the indoor and outdoor adventures of the mountains: hiking, waterfalls, ziplining, white water rafting, canoeing, and kayaking limited only by your imagination.

Located 8 miles from Asheville with exceptional local music, street fairs, history, museums, guided tours, Biltmore Estate, and eclectic downtown to shop local artists.

The barn loft overlooks the farm and is roomy with queen bed, full size sleeper sofa, full kitchen, private deck on a gated property with horses, large pond and mountain views. I live here because I love the lifestyle and know you will be entranced.

The host imposes no additional fees or charges. Any additional fees other than the listed prices are imposed by VRBO or state and county taxes. As hosts we provide clean, disinfected rooms and service, privacy and respect. In return, our guests care for and leave the cottage in good condition.

Cozy Base For Mountain Adventure

This place is perfect for a family of four. The listing is spot on, the directions/instructions are very helpful, and the owner is wonderful. This spot is perfectly situated to go into Asheville or see the surrounding area. There are two sweet horses and a precious donkey. You can pet them or just watch them. The owner is very approachable and is a wealth of knowledge and insight. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Rejuvenation Spot

I am always so fulfilled and grateful for my time here. Laurie is a fabulous host who provides such a beautiful and serene mountain country experience. Far enough from Asheville to be so quiet and close enough to run join whatever activity you prefer. Hiking trails in any direction a short drive away. Always one of my must-do activities includes sitting on the large deck looking out at the mountains, countryside, horses, requisite farm cat, and my personal favorite, Eeyore, the all-watchful donkey. I always leave trying to figure out how soon I can return.

Absolutely breath taking and relaxing

I have been to many VRBOs and I have to say this is one the is at the top. If you’re looking for a place to relax and be away from everything and just let the world go this is it. The grounds are absolutely breath taking with the horses and pond and it is so well maintained. The rental is very clean and comfy with all you need to just stay in and relax. The owner was wonderful and so kind and accommodating. I can’t say enough about our stay and this place and we will be going back for sure.

Relaxing weekend getaway

We loved our weekend getaway to Asheville and the property was one of our favorite things! Loved looking at the horses, donkey and pony running in the pastures. Laurie was an excellent host when we got a chance to chat with her Very peaceful and serene location. Loved our evenings sitting on the porch and looking at the scenery. Definitely recommend and would stay again.

Relaxing weekend getaway

We loved the country setting so close to Asheville. The farm and surrounding mountains were beautiful, peaceful, and healing. Laurie provided privacy and security in this comfortable space. We literally wanted a safe, quiet place to rest when we weren’t sightseeing, and that’s what we got! Deck sitting at night was one of favorite things.

Beautiful Country Setting

Our host, Laurie, was vey kind and friendly. She helped us find some hikes we were looking for, which turned out to be outstanding sights. Then coming back to a VRBO that was a quiet, beautiful country setting help make the day complete. Having the horses in the near by paddock added to whole scene.

Fantastic!!

As fabulous on my return visit as the first time - couldn't have been better! The owner is so helpful in every way. My visit relaxed and refilled me completely, which is what I wanted. It's also a wonderful base camp. There are brochures of fun stuff in the area. The rolling green hills, the grazing horses and mini-donkey, the mountains in the distance, put beauty all around. My stay was perfect!

Stay was nice! Host gave great directions that should be followed when entering the property, GPS showed a different/incorrect path. No complaints, would stay here again if we come back to the area.

Heaven in earth

Magnificent

Perfect! Beautiful, peaceful views, especially from the large deck. Lovely interior - pottery dishes, wool throw blanket, seriously comfortable bed. It's perfect for a solo retreat or a base camp for all sorts of activities. I left refreshed and renewed. I couldn't have been happier with my stay.

A little piece of heaven

While visiting Asheville we decided to stay near mountains. We were about 13 mins away from main area. As we were driving we had our doubts but when we turned onto road the view was magnificent as it was from the deck. Thaw apartment was perfect, ambiance lovely and the offer for fresh eggs from host was delightful. It was hard to leave.

Found: Hidden Gem Nestled in the Majestic Blue Ridge & Smoky Mountains!

I highly recommend this charming cottage that we fell in love with. Stayed two nights with my kids (18 & 26 yrs), and we did not want to leave. Not only did it meet and surpass every need and expectation, it provided a uniquely refreshing experience that we want to return to. It’s rare that you find accommodations this special and that check every single box, at such an exceptional value. Laurie, the owner/host, provided excellent directions and instructions complete with photos, so check-in went seamlessly. She respected our privacy, yet was just a text or phone call away and responded immediately when contacted. The cottage was clean, open, and bright, and stocked with all the essentials one may need. We slept great; comfy beds and quiet, peaceful nights. You would never have known there were stables below, unless you already knew or saw them yourself. They were so neat and pristine with no unpleasant odors or noise from the equines, which were equally clean and very well taken care of. It was obvious that they are adored. Laurie and her sweet four-legged helpers made us feel so warm and welcome. We were happy to meet her lovely Arabian horses and the handsome donkey, Mr. Eeyore. They were all so friendly and gentle-natured. The large terrace provided the perfect vantage point to look out of and take in the breathtaking views. Being around the wonders of nature has a way of putting things into perspective, and gives you an exciting new energy to return home with.

Beautiful spot off the beaten path

The property was quiet and owners kept to themselves. They made everything easy for accessing the property, checking in, and checking out. The small cottage was located within the second floor, of a barn/stable. It's perfect for a couple of friends. There was one small bedroom and a fold out couch in the main living area. A cozy gas fireplace and wall heater were provided. On a cold night, it can get chilly in the back bedroom, but extra blankets were also provided. The views outside and the property were beautiful. There was a pond, a pasture, a donkey, and the night sky was clear and great for viewing stars. Overall it was a great place to stay for a few nights while traveling around Asheville and I would stay here again.

Beautiful Moonlit Views

Fantastic place to stay! Rustic, beautiful atmosphere. So peaceful! Sitting on porch gazing at the full moon brought peace to our souls! Loved watching the beautiful horses, hearing Eeyore the donkey bray, and listening to the wild turkeys call on the hill. Adored the town of Leicester. Owner was outstanding, friendly and so helpful. Space was clean, warm and inviting. Felt very safe! We coupled this with Ziplining for the day at Navitat Canopy Adventures. The perfect bucket list getaway!!

I love the mountains and all the many activities associated with my area. Endless outdoor adventures , phenomenal, culinary experiences, amazing history.
There is a two week maximum stay. There is a minimum tonight stay but I highly recommend at least a four night stay just break the surface of how much there is to do here.
