Nicely decorated 3 bedroom/1 bath home on a large lot in an established neighborhood. This property is centrally located in the town of Taylorsville. And approximately 17 miles from Wilkesboro, Lenior, Statesville, and Hickory. So if you are coming to the area for the Apple Festivals, Balloon Rally, Emerald Hollow mines, paint ball tournaments, Rocky Face rock climbing, MerleFest or just to get away, this is your home away from home!

The property was very nice in a pretty good neighborhood. Grocery store and restaurants minutes away. Very clean on the inside the only complaint I have is there’s no blinds or curtains for privacy at the windows in the front of the house. We normally stay at the golf course when we visit our daughter and grandson but will probably try to get this property on our next visit.

Our family of 6 enjoyed this property recently. It was clean and comfortable with very clear directions for checking in/out. Location was great for what we needed. Would recommend and stay again.

This was our second time staying at this rental, and our stay this week was just as cozy and enjoyable as the first time! We especially enjoyed sitting on the covered front porch every morning.This stay, we had my mother along. She has Parkinson's and uses a walker all the time, and she had no real difficulty navigating the house. The fact that all the rooms are on one level helped a lot with that, as did the sturdy railing along the front steps.Every room in the house was clean and cute, we appreciated the snacks left out in the kitchen, and the fresh flowers growing on the front porch were an especially nice touch.

The parking is tight if you have more than 1 vehicle because there are deep dips/ ditch lines on each side of the driveway. Please note in case this would bother you ..there are no blinds or curtains on the front of the house.( livingroom.kitchen. laundry room). Everything else was very suitable for my stay.

Cozy getaway

Ideal location for our girls trip. We were able to shop several antique stores in Taylorsville and Hickory between our days at Emerald Hollow Mine. Home was cozy and quiet and met all our needs.

I am a retired teacher and mother of 2 college aged children. Both are college athletes. We have traveled across the country and stayed in many VRBO/HomeAway properties. After retiring I decided to remodel some family properties and list them on the site. I manage three properties on VRBO; they are located in Taylorsville, Boone, and Mooresville. I also have an antique booth and have enjoyed picking up treasures while traveling for both my booth and my properties. Therefore you will see many items that I have picked while traveling to furnish these homes.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

If you are specifically traveling to the Taylorsville area you will find it hard to locate a place to stay while visiting. Most visitors must stay in Hickory, Statesville, Lenior or Wilkesboro and travel 20 - 30 minutes back and forth to Taylorsville. Therefore we decided to take this property off of the long term rental market, remodel it, and place it on the short term market and see how it goes.

Some of the unique things to come to Taylorsville for include mining at the Emerald Hollow Mine, rock climbing at Rocky Face Park (try the vertical mile challenge!), visit Shadowline Vineyards, go fishing on Lake Hickory, come for a 5K or one of the many town Apple Festivals!
