This house is located along Lake Hickory. Gorgeous views, quiet location and house itself is very clean and completely stocked with everything you need!

This was our second time staying here. It is a sweet, cozy home with a great view (it is very aptly named!) We had one child at a sports camp, and we were close to town, but it still feels remote. The rest of us enjoyed paddle boarding on the lake and swimming. The hosts are great and have thought of everything. It’s really nice to have what you need to cook at the home, so you can enjoy your meals gazing out the huge window at the lake!

The lake is beautiful, calming and you will enjoy it through the large windows. The cabin is just steps from the water, but it is bordered by a tall rocky edge which appeared to surround the lake. Nearby (10-15 minutes) are Walmart, food lion, restaurants etc. The bedrooms and den each have a smart/roku TV. The bed in the main bedroom is comfortable and the host provides extra blankets.The host, Jennifer provides several extras you might forget to bring.Also there is a new hot tub.

Great place. Gorgeous views. Quiet and private. WiFi is a little slow and choppy. They are fixing the main door as the lock didn’t work but the owner arrived quickly to let us in. Friendly owner.

We enjoyed our short stay at The View - just prior to 4th of July. The house clean and comfortable. We spent most of our time on the back porch overlooking the lake. Unfortunately the temperature was pushing 100 degrees- and that made difficult to lounge on the dock and maybe take out the kayak they provided.

The TV does not always pick up, so if you have children, that could be a problem.The VCR is in the master bedroom so if you are unable to get TV, you have to watch movies in the master bedroom.When it rains hard, water comes down the inside of the chimney and runs over the rocks onto the living room floor. This happened to us when we stayed. Just a reccommendation; cut some of the lower branches on the trees because they obstruct the view of the lake. Overall, GREAT cabin on the lake for the end of our vacay.

Adorable perfect cabin

This quaint little cabin on the water is so perfect. It provides everything you need from the view to all the little necessities. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be going back.

Great Stay with a Great View

This place was an amazing getaway. Very relaxing with super relaxing views. Being able to sit on the porch and sip coffee or float in the cove at the lake was all one needs to reset.

Great getaway!

The View is an adorable cottage right on Lake Hickory. It was exactly as advertised and the hot tub was terrific since we had cool temps and some rain. I imagine staying there in the summer would be just about perfect!

We loved everything about this property! It was so peaceful very clean, and very homey. Everything you could possibly need for a get away also. Books, games, dvd, shower stuff, laundry soap. We really could not have asked for a better get away.

Perfect getaway

Even for just a couple days or longer, this location was a dream to stay at. With shopping and eating within reach, this will surely make any vacation or business trip enjoyable. We will return if headed back to the area.
