Sitting higher in elevation, you'll love looking over the magnificent Black Hills as you sit in the hot tub on the covered deck! With easy proximity to the Terry Peak Ski Area as well as local ATV/snowmobile trails, hiking/biking, and many other fun activities, this cabin is perfect for all year-round fun. Located in the heart of the Northern Black Hills recreational corridor, you'll be hard pressed to not find a fun adventure to enjoy! The Stewart Lodge at Terry Peak is within minutes of the cabin, the Mickelson trail and many other ATV/Snowmobile trails are only 10 minutes away, and Spearfish Canyon with its great fishing/hiking/waterfalls is only a short 15 minute drive away. Downtown Deadwood is also just a short 15 minute drive or taxi ride away as well, full of places to gamble, dining options, and many festivals throughout the year! You can also be enjoying the beauty of Mount Rushmore, Keystone, Custer State Park, Sylvan Lake and more in about an hours drive from the property. Whether you're in the area to enjoy an adventure filled vacation, relaxing weekend, or a sight-seeing tour of the area, Bucket List Retreat is sure to be a great place to rest your head and recharge.

After all your amazing adventures, coming home to this cabin will surely blow you away with a unique cabin experience. Outside you'll find an open lot as well as a double deck, with the lower level including a hot tub. There's also a pellet grill for preparing your favorite meals, and an indoor/outdoor wood fireplace. Inside you'll find an amazing open concept living space complete with a wood floor, large entry/mud room, a very cozy sectional sofa, fireplace, flat-screen TV, and an open 2-story living area filled with large windows to enjoy the view! The kitchen includes stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and an island great for gathering around while preparing meals - you can even enjoy the view from the kitchen as well! Upstairs you'll love the additional living area as well as 3 of the 4 bedrooms - along with a covered deck with an incredible view. The bathrooms are spacious and inviting as well and one even includes a jacuzzi tub!

There's also plenty of space for your large trailers full of ATV's, motorcycles, or snowmobiles!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay, always have a great time in Lead/Deadwood. Only complaints we had about the rental is the grill did not work & the air did not keep up well so it was rather hot inside, especially when it was 105* outside. All in all, it was a good stay! Thank you!

Beautiful home but very dirty

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We walked into a beautiful but not very well cared for home. The patio door was so dirty that you couldn't even see the beautiful view through it, the griddle area on the gas stove still had egg on it from the previous renters, upstairs carpets hadn't been vacuumed(we vacuumed them and had nearly a full vacuum canister of yuck in it), box of corn husks from the previous renters on the deck, and lots and lots of dust everywhere. Such a shame because it's a beautiful home.

Loved The Bucket List Retreat !

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The layout of the house was fabulous, we will consider staying again. My only updates that need attention is the striker on the stove wont shut off when trying to cook, but we were able to use the flat iron grill to get by. Could use a better coffee maker. Had to clean with vinegar and water to get it to perk and produce coffee. Fireplace is super cool to have an inside view and out however there is some issue on getting it to vent correctly. Upstairs did smell like smoke when we used it. These were minor issues for us but just want them to be known for a better stay for the next renters. Overall we loved the cabin and do recommend it. Thank you

Disappointing

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Few things were disappointing:1. The place was awfully dusty and lots of cobwebs. It felt (smelled) like we were the guest ones to stay there in quite awhile. Might want to check in with whoever you are paying to clean the rental.2. Nearly every pot and pan were disgusting. Like food dried on and they were not clean when they were put away. We had to wash everything before we used it and a few of the pans could not be cleaned they were really gross.3. The gas stove was not functioning properly. Some burners would not turn on and some would continuously click (like they were trying to start) even when other burners were turned on and that one was not.4. The plug for the upstairs bathtub drain does not work. We could not use it to give our 1yr old a bath.5. The fireplace was really drafty. We did start it to help with that but it got pretty smokey inside so we stopped using it and put blankets in front of it to stop the cold air from coming in.Overall, the stay was disappointing and we definitely left the place in better condition than we found it. To end on a positive, the view.... So good!

UTV & Gambling Trip

Overall the house was nice. Unfortunately when people rent a house they don’t treat it as their own so there are some small things like bathroom fixtures that are loose, hot tub cover dented, carpeting that needs to be tightened, the gas stove seems to need some repair to the igniter, but all in all a beautiful house. The location is great. Close enough for all the activities we wanted to do. There were only four of us that stayed in the house and we could comfortably fit 8 more but it was nice to have the space. It would be great if there were ceiling fans in the upstairs bedrooms as it got warm up there. It could use a deep clean of things that there isn’t time to clean between stays such as the light fixtures or the jets in the upstairs bathroom. We did have a couple questions we needed to reach out to Budi and did get them answered but had to reach out multiple times about the fireplace as there are no instructions on use so we were only to have one fire because of that but I would definitely stay there again.

Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay at this rental. We know it was on Terry's Peak- but didn't realize the climb up and the hills we'd need to drive daily. The rental is in a new development and you definitely would need 4-wheel drive in the winter. Views were beautiful. Neighboring rentals were all respectful and it was not noisy. Fit all 10 of us (2 adults, 8 kids).

Awesome place near all of the attractions

My wife and I, along with 1 other couple, stayed her for 6 days to ride motorcycles to all of South Dakota's Landmarks. We loved the cabin. There are many more other cabins near-by than what it looks in the pictures in the listing (more of a neighborhood type feel), but none of them obscured the awesome view. The drive up to the cabin is scenic itself (great views of the nearby ski resort across a valley). For other motorcyclists, the road is gravel once you get into the neighborhood, but it is hardpacked and well maintained. We had no troubles riding in and out from the cabin. Most of the landmarks are within an hour's drive and a couple are only 2 hours away. Historic Deadwood is only about a 20-minute drive. There is a grocery store within about 15-minutes from the cabin to pick up any food and supplies. Although there was some wood left for the fireplace when we arrived, if you have many fires, you will need to get some more. There were also only 4 chairs for sitting outside on the 2 decks, so if there are more of you, you will have to make do. House check out rules are fair and reasonable. Overall, we loved the place, and we are already trying to figure out when we could go back!

Spring Break Ski Trip / March Madness

Incredible views of the black hills! The property was clean and easy to access. Perfect size for 4 adults snd 3 kids. Improvements could be the addition of ceiling fans in the rooms. Otherwise was a great weekend!

Excellent Property and Location!

Budi was an excellent host! Very quick at responding to any and all questions and attentive to our needs before and during our stay. The property is well laid out and has everything you need for a big gathering especially while celebrating Christmas with a large group. It was sparkling clean! It is literally right by the Terry Peak entrance and a very short drive to Lead and Deadwood. We also made our way to Spearfish Canyon to a beautiful winter drive. We highly recommend this property and working with Budi. We will be selecting this property if we are back in the area!

New Years Weekend

For one the view is breath taking, the cabin is so clean and cozy!!! We absolutely loved it. I could write a book with how wonderful the owners are, very responsive to anything you ask or need. It’s just such a wonderful place. Everyone around the area were so sweet and friendly ❤️! Our family loved it so much we already booked our next year’s vacation with black Hills adventures lodging!!!!!❤️

Absolutely beautiful house. Loved it! Budi was a fantastic host. Hoping to stay at another one of her properties in the future. Side note: Bring toilet paper and paper towels. I forgot lol.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time at the Bucket List Retreat, the views are even more amazing than what is pictured. The weather was colder than we had hoped, so did not get to enjoy the beautiful decks, but did have to spend 1 day snowed in and enjoyed games and the hot tub while the snow came down, they have everything you would need to relax and enjoy just staying in. The only things I would suggest is some dry firewood, our guys chopped some wood and found kindling, and we bought some wood for fire place, it would be nice to have that there, and a few more wine glasses, we only found 2. It would also be nice to have a shovel so we could have cleaned off the decks and stairs better, we just used the broom as well as we could. But we loved it and would highly recommend it!! Just Beautiful!
