Clean, well stocked apartment, responsive property manager

The purpose of our stay was to attend Family Weekend at University of New Hampshire. The two bedroom apartment is spacious and held our family (two parents, a teen and a grandparent) perfectly. Our son slept on the couch, which extends into a not-quite-flat lounger. I have nothing but good things to say about the apartment, which was clean, roomy and decently decorated. Our one issue was that we came home late at night to find someone parked in our allotted space. There were no other unnumbered spaces available, so we parked in another numbered space thinking that must be what people do (since that's what someone did to us). Well, we got towed. Fortunately, the property manager was amazing and handled the whole situation beautifully. Found the tow company, drove us to get the car. Just handled everything. Unfortunately, we missed our last morning with our daughter, but it is what it is. So, my advice is to talk with the manager before you arrive about what to do if someone is in your space. Also, location is short drive to Portsmouth center, but not walkable. But super easy if you have a car. Otherwise -- great place for the family. I will definitely book again. Thanks, Jay!

Newly renovated apartment

We arrived after our check-in time. The unit hadn't been cleaned. We contacted the owner and he offered us money for dinner and would send the complex manager over. We put our food in the refrigerator and our bags in our rooms. The manager came over and changed the beds, emptied the trash and threw out all of our food. We were given $70 and she said she was sorry. We went out for dinner (no other option). Returned back to unit and discovered the internet and cable were out. The owner explained that there had been a bad storm two days before and Comcast was coming on Monday.

It was perfect for what we needed. It was clean, easy to find, and parking was easy. I would recommend! I asked for an earlier check in and it was granted. That is greatly appreciated as my father's flight was earlier than i expected. Thank you!

Nice place

It’s a nice place to stay and very convenient. Unfortunately basically nothing worked. Microwave, all outlets on the back wall. Toilet bowl is busted. There is absolutely no ice and no way to get some, we didn’t have a car In this day and age why not have more access to television Are you that cheap that you can’t afford a bunch of plastic ice trays?

Upstairs Neighbors were Clods

First the positives: Jay was always responsive to our needs and questions. We are on a 24 day New England vacation. We stayed in 6 places in 6 states for 4 nights each. This was our 4th state and place to stay. None of the first 3 places had a washer and dryer. We were running out of clothes fast. Jay provided us with a laundry card to do our laundry. WHAT A BLESSING!!! Also, Jay provided a large supply of Keurig Coffee Pods with the best Keurig Coffee maker we have ever used. The place was roomy and clean, and would have been perfect, if not for the negatives. Now the negatives: The neighbors above us had kids and there was constant running and stomping. Even as late as 1:00 in the morning. I noticed in other reviews (of this particular unit) that people said the neighbors were not a problem. But Jay may own more than one property in this complex and changed us to a different unit. Because, although the pictures, shown up above, are close to what our unit looked like, everything in the unit we were in is reversed from the pictures shown. The point is that the Clods Upstairs prevented us from having what was otherwise an enjoyable stay at Jay's place.

Great New England place

The perfect place for a small group. The city will be 400 years soon. There is a lot of history and the place is very close to everything including beaches. It was the end of August but we still managed to swim a little bit. Great seafood places.

Nice and quiet.

It was a relatively easy rental. I highly recommend not staying here without a car, you definitely need a car to get around.

Nice, clean, quiet place

This Portsmouth place is as advertised. It's a nice, clean, quiet place. The owner forgot to send me the check-in information, but he was very responsive once I called him. The process of getting in was easy. I do not know how "close" it is to everything in Portsmouth, every time we wanted to go back downtown it was a five minute drive away, which is not a big deal at all but Portsmouth does not seem that big to begin with. Clean, and spacious place though. Only other slight negative is the place has very basic cable. I understand of course if you're visiting you're not there to watch TV, but to have options beyond Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune once you're in for the night would be helpful.

Portsmouth apt.

The apartment was very neat and clean and was a short drive to the center of Portsmouth. The mattress in the small bedroom was not suitable;hence, my friend slept on the couch in the living room.

Nice apartment

I kind of missed the fact it was an apartment when I booked it, but it turned out fine. It is within a complex, but was quiet and very pleasant with our own parking spot.

Great location, great host

Apartment was extremely clean! Perfect size for small family. Host provided kuerig/kcups/sugar/creamers which was a surprise when we got there and absolutely perfect!! Building is quiet, easily accessible to all major roads. 10/10 recommend if needed to stay in the area! We had a wedding at the Elks lodge, which was only about 6-7 minute drive. Absolutely perfect!

Website said checkin at 4:00 Pm, a little late, but in the condo book it stars checkin was 2:00. I did not get a response from owner whether we could check in early. Also the white bedroom had the condo outside lights shining in the bedroom al night. Should have dark out shade or curtains for this room. Otherwise it was a nice stay

Cozy Portsmouth Digs

The unit was just as it was represented. Clean and very well stocked. We were afraid there may be a problem with neighbors coming and going but it turned out to be pleasantly quiet. The location was very convenient for all we wanted to do. Parking was good.

VERY clean and comfortable

The building itself is a little dated, but the apt is very clean and cozy with nice amenities. Carpet was so soft and possibly brand new. Definitely needs a cable tv upgrade, as there are only the most basic of channels in non-HD. Was hoping to watch Sox-Yankees but it wasn’t available. Other than that, it has all you’d need for a nice stay.
