Smack dab in the middle of the town of Ouray with a large yard and elevated deck with stunning 360 degree views. This 1800 square foot home boasts two large living areas, two bedrooms with king beds, one bedroom with a queen bed, a full master bathroom and a full guest bathroom. There are also two queen sized pull out couches in the living rooms. Light up the wood burning stove and get cozy with your loved ones on cold winter nights. There are smart flat screen TV's in multiple rooms that come with Hulu and brand new appliances in the kitchen. Pets are not allowed, the house is allergy free. Kids can play in the yard or second living room while you catch up with friends and family. Feel and live like a local while you stay in Ouray!

Excellent home base for gathering with friends in Ouray

Three couples shared this VRBO centrally located in Ouray for an ice climbing trip. The house was clean, comfortable, and would've been plenty spacious to share with another couple. The second living room can be closed off for privacy; however, that room has the only exits to the house, so you'd need to be strategic. Liked that each room could be individually controlled by thermostat. We cooked and ate all of our meals in, and managed with the tools provided, but if you are particular about your cookery, tools, knives, and/or condiments, best bring your own. Only complaint was the dim lighting... especially tough for the older folks. ;) Would love to stay again, though.

Great Ouray Vacay!

This home is a lovely layout for friends or family staying together and had plenty of space to spread out, as well as privacy. The host was fantastic (be sure to check out their restaurant in town - best food we had!) and the location is top notch. We easily walked to town, on the trails and to hot springs all without getting in our car.

Family hiking trip

Wonderful time in Ouray. House was very comfortable and very well stocked. Close to the main street of Ouray. Easy to walk to restaurants and small grocery store. Would stay here again!

Great location and clean and spacious house

E had a great stay at Ingrid’s house. It is located just 2 blocks away from the Main Street. Very close to everything yet, far enough to be a bit quieter. Perfect place for 2 couples and with 2 more persons (kids?). There are two living rooms.

Beautiful House, Beautiful Town

This is a very nice and convenient place to stay in Ouray. It's spacious, the deck is awesome and within walking distance to shopping and dining. We will be back it!

Great place for ice climbing

Amazing stay and amazing host

Staying in Ouray for my sons wedding was a hectic affair but one we wont forget for a long time. Being from Switzerland this town reminded us of home. The people are incredibly friendly and the vista to die for. We cant thank Ingrid and Hans enough for letting us stay at their wonderful home and accommodating us with the check in process. Thank you so very much, we loved our stay and your home and will be part of our fond memories here in Ouray!

Very enjoyable

We were impressed with the 3 bedrooms, there were 3 couples that stayed. Plenty of room with the 2 living rooms, large kitchen. The exterior desk was also large enough for all of us to be comfortable to relax. Great views. Room under the deck to park 3 touring motorcycles. We would love to go back and stay again! Lots of extras provided.

Ouray off-roading trip

Lovely home. It’s almost like 2 homes that share a kitchen. Lots of space. Plenty of parking and super convenient. Be advised this house has 2 window ACs and neither are in a bedroom so if it is a little warmer you may need to drive the temp down in the rest of the house for sleeping. I would stay there again.

Great place to experience Ouray!

We have stayed in Ouray many times in the past 20+ years… this place was among one of the best! It comes well stocked with all of your needs met… shampoo, body soap, laundry soap, well stocked kitchen, plenty of towels and linens, and so much more. Ingrid was so easy to communicate with and answered any of our inquiries in a very timely manner. Having two nice sized living areas gave us plenty of room to spread out. The back yard was a plus for the kids! There are two window AC units that were very nice when it got a bit hot outside. Absolutely nothing bad to say about this property. We love Ouray and this is a place we will keep coming back to if we are able!

Wonderful house!

Would highly recommend this house to anyone staying in Ouray! The house is spacious and comfortable. We had 6 adults and never felt crowded. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. The location is perfect. You are a short walk from the main road. There is a small grocery close by. Loved the view from the deck. Perfect place for a cup of coffee on a cool summer morning. Would definitely stay here again!

Best house in ouray yet

We have bern ouray for 6 years and always rent a VBRO, this one is the best one yet. Its clean, roomy, comfortable and a great location. The back porch was a perfect place to sit and enjoy the scenery.

Perfect

This house has everything you need and was stocked with all the standard household necessities. It is one block off of main street for easy walking to shopping, restaurants or the brewery. The views, however, are the best part. Pretty much 360 views of the mountains. Pictures don't do it justice. The mountains are in your face. The million dollar highway (red mountain pass)starts in Ouray, and makes for a spectacular drive to Silverton. Telluride is a easy but beautiful 40 minute dive. In Ouray, you have box canyon, cascade falls and and several hot springs to choose from. We chose the vapor cave which we are glad we did. Underground cave with a hot spring pool. Hot! The outdoor hot spring fed pool was 105. Being in the pool while it's snowing was a awesome experience. Highly recommend this location.

Lovely house in a central location

This house was perfect for us. It was nice and cozy during our winter visit, and a short walk to main street. The house is fully equipped with everything you need. Check-in was easy and the owner was really nice. Highly recommend eating at the owners' restaurant Brickhouse 737. We ate there two out of three nights. We will be back for sure.

Great house and location!

The house has plenty of room for multiple guests with 3 bedrooms plus 2 separate living rooms with pullout couches. It's walking distance from downtown with mountain views, and the property owner was easy to work with. I would definitely stay here again.

Allow us to introduce ourselves... Our names are Hans and Ingrid Vanderploeg. We were the previous owners of the China Clipper Inn, a bed and breakfast. Number 1 on Tripadvisor for many years, the China Clipper Inn has been known for its outstanding service, cleanliness and breakfast. After running the B&B for 10 years, we sold the China Clipper Inn so we could both pursue different careers. In 2016, Hans partnered with Chef Cory Sargent and started Kitchen/Bar Brickhouse 737 on Main Street in Ouray, currently number 1 on Tripadvisor. Ingrid is the property manager of this rental and manages websites, and social media accounts and is an SEO expert.

We have lived in Ouray for over 10 years and love all the outdoor activities that Ouray has to offer year-round. Both hospitality professionals, we will provide you with excellent service and immaculate rental property. We hope you enjoy your stay in our cosy rental.

This property is in the middle of town and has a deck with amazing views and a substantial yard where kids can run around. You can park your car and start all your mountain adventures here. Everything in town is within walking distance. The bones of the building are dated around 1891. Many changes and add-ons have occurred since then, but the home still retains that old-timey feel that people come looking for in Ouray.
