Come enjoy our wonderful home on a beautiful, private 600 acre lake. Our 3 bedroom, 3 bath lake house is a perfect family or friend getaway. The house is located on Cowpen Lake in Hawthorne, FL located 30 minutes from University of Florida. House is on 2 very private acres with plenty of parking. Cowpen Lake is a spring fed, clear lake great for boating and fishing. Bass, bream, gar, crappie and catfish can all be caught from the dock. Our property also has a 4 acre small fishing pond that is perfect for kids. Boats can be launched from shore with ease. Pet friendly. The property is completely fenced in. There is a 2018 Harris Pontoon Boat available to be rented during your stay. Ready and in the water with a full tank of gas to enjoy the lake!!

Upstairs Room 1 - 2 Single Beds (Jack and Jill Full Bathroom)

Extra Full Sized Bathroom downstairs off the living room area as well.
Optional Room 4 - The Master Bedroom is connected to an Office where there is an EZ Bed pop up Queen Air Mattress that can be utilized for extra sleeping.
There are a couple of couches that are comfortable to sleep on as well.
House sleeps 6 comfortably, but can sleep up to 10.

Peaceful getaway

Thank you for a wonderful stay. Just what the family needed. Very cozy! Loved all the small touches. The host was amazing. The new outdoor kitchen was a fun option.

Lake Getaway

Beautiful lake and boat rental made it special. Cabin is rustic and dark. Cabin could use a deep clean. Rugs and furniture need cleaning.

We have always loved this rental property and look forward to it each year. The water is perfect for swimming, they have small paddle boats and kayaks available that everyone loves and the house is perfect. Lots of space and very welcoming. All around wonderful

Fun Family Time

We had such a great time at the lake. Everything was perfect. The hosts are so easy to deal with. We also rented the pontoon boat… such a cool way to see the whole lake. Can’t wait to stay again and see all the updates that are in progress

Cowpen Lakehouse

The property was beautiful, better than the pictures. The home was nice,comfortable, and larger than we thought. The kitchen and outdoor spaces were very well appointed. My wife, my dog and I all loved our stay the lake and the surrounds were beautiful, The boat was nice and spacious and started right up. We caught bass everytime out. We enjoyed how quiet it was but for the sounds of nature. I expected mosquitos but there weren't any which was awesome. We would defintely go again

Lake Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay…absolutely loved the cabin, it was so comfortable and cozy and just the right amount of space for us. The property has a lake and a pond. We had the lake practically to ourselves and caught a lot of fish from the pond. We had excellent communication from Jackie and she was very accommodating.

Weekend Getaway

We had a great time for our weekend get away here! The cabin is great and the kitchen is stocked very well. We caught a couple of fish and our dogs loved walking the property. Jackie is amazing and was super helpful!

Perfect getaway!

Everything was amazing from the property to the house to the ambiance. Lake was perfect for boating, tubing, wakeboarding, hydro sliding and relaxing. We brought our boat and rented the pontoon as well and had a blast. House/cabin had everything you need and then some. Perfect for a group or family. We will definitely be back! Thank you again!

BEST VACATION EVER!

We booked this vacation for some much-needed relaxation, and we are so glad we did! The Cabin and the property are amazing. From floating in the lake to time in the cabin. Fishing, boating , this property has it all. We are officially regulars from here on out! We rented the boat and enjoyed our time on the water as well, that's a must! We will definitely be booking again.

Relaxing get away

The lake house was the perfect place to stay to get away from it all! Sitting on the porch watching and listening to wildlife, playing corn hole by the pond, evening cook outs under the stars and excursions on the lake in the boat and kayak all made for a wonderful family stay. Great amenities with everything catered for just like being at home. The house is nicely situated too for exploring the area for many state parks and towns to explore like Micanopy and Palatka. The hosts were great with communication throughout the booking process and our stay, thank you Jackie. We had a wonderful time and look forward to returning!

This was our 3rd time staying here .The first time was just has great has this time . The owners a very helpful and just down rite good people .. Perfect Family Vacation

I don’t want to say how much my family loves this place so it doesn’t sell out!! Lol but don’t even think about it. This home and property are the most idealistic Florida Lakehouse experience you can find. It’s peaceful, big and shaded by old oaks. We also rented the pontoon boat and made so so so many sweet memories. We are ready to book our 3rd summer stay for 2024!

Graduation Stay

We stayed for an extended weekend during my son’s recent graduation. The property was perfect- lots of space, peaceful mornings, birds and waterfowl. It wasn’t a short drive to Gainesville commencement activities but it was a very easy drive so that was not a problem. We rented the pontoon boat and enjoyed time on the lake. I don’t think the photos did the place justice. The place had character and charm. Jackie was easy to communicate with and responded quickly when we had a last minute change- very accommodating. We highly recommend the property and hope to stay another time.

Awesome Lake House!

Lake house was beautiful and cozy! Had everything we needed. Views were wonderful and communication with Jackie the host was great! We rented the pontoon boat as well and enjoyed lots of lake time. Caught about a dozen bass and bluegill in the lake! Nothing crazy big but still a ton of fun! We spent 3 days but next time will go for a week, never enough time at the lake!

One of the most enjoyable weekends I have ever had

Everything was as near to perfect as possible. The house was wonderful. The Lake was wonderful. The owners were wonderful. The weather was wonderful. We brought our jet skis with us and had a blast. We rented the pontoon boat and that was wonderful. The worst thing about it was that we had go back to work. Jackie was the best. Thank you and God Bless,
