Relax in a peaceful country setting, overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains, while enjoying the conveniences of downtown Harrisonburg less than 3 miles away. This is the perfect location for friends and family who are visiting the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. This location is also perfect for those visiting JMU, EMU & Bridgewater College or planning a visit to Massanutten Resort or Skyline Drive.

This home is the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful Shenandoah Valley from a private front porch that overlooks the Blue Ridge Mountains. Come sit on the porch, gather with friends and family or just relax and watch the sunrise. This home is perfect to plan a vacation or visit a loved one at one of the local universities and colleges. You can also spend the day enjoying many of the local wineries, golf courses, bike trails, or hiking Skyline Drive. We are also located 7 minutes away from Massanutten Resort. Our home is a perfect alternative to enjoying the wonderful year round resort amenities from what will feel like the privacy of your own home.

This home has all the comforts of home from cooking a meal in a fully outfitted kitchen to grilling outside. There is a washer and dryer located in the basement for you to utilize. We have high-speed comcast blast wifi and central air or if you prefer, open the windows and enjoy the cool country air and spend quality time with friends and family. Parking is available for multiple vehicles. There is also a quiet office available for anyone needing a quiet place to work from “home.” Enjoy easy check in with a keypad check in and take comfort in knowing the hosts are less than 3 miles away to help with anything you may need.

Guests are free to access all areas within the main house with the exception of 2 closets, which are used for private storage and cleaning supplies.

Emergency placement for group home

When the community member had an accident which interrupted our water supply, we had to evacuate immediately. Mark's house perfectly accommodated us and he was so easy to work with. He was a great communicator and followed through on requests such as installing a ramp in time for our folks to arrive.

Great house!

This house was perfect for our stay. We had 3 families with kids of various ages. The detached game room was awesome. This house is close to JMU but feels like a world away. We would stay again. Mark was a great communicator.

Family Wedding

This property is exceptional. It is especially clean, perfectly accommodating, very comfortable for family gatherings, well-stocked, and conveniently located to Harrisonburg. Could not have been any better!!

My siblings, cousins, and our children meet halfway between southwest VA and PA for an extended weekend “reunion” annually. This property met all of our needs and exceeded any expectations we may have had! The kitchen and dining area were spacious and accommodated our nightly family dinners with ease. The game room provided endless entertainment for both the kids and adults. SUPER CLEAN! Plenty of space indoor and out! Gazillions of games!! Great outdoor space with fire pit, picnic table & corn hole boards. I could go on forever with all the positives! I can’t think of any downsides to mention. Our host was attentive to detail, went the extra mile to welcome us, but was not overbearing and did not drop in like some owners do! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. This property is where we will continue to meet for years to come! ❤️❤️❤️

Stay close to western slopes

This was our second time staying here for a race at the western slopes. It is fantastic location with a great set up for our families. This is a 5 minute drive to the western slopes for mountain biking and a 5 minute drive to the heart of Harrisonburg. We will be booking this again in the future. Mike had great communication and even shipped my daughter’s stuffed animal that we accidentally left.

Robotics Weekend

MLK Ski Weekend

The house was extremely clean and provided for all our needs! The game room was a blast and provided for a lot of fun and laughter. Bedrooms were comfortable and provided privacy. Kitchen allowed us all to sit together to eat and play cards. The location was great! The owner was super responsive and helpful! We will be back!

Nice getaway

Mark is very responsive and assisted with all our questions. He had the baby gate up and high chair ready for infant. Overall, it is a great property. Our boys loved the arcade room as well as the swing and hammock. The location is perfect- so close to everything in Harrisonburg and only 15 mins from Massanutten. Nice setting for fire pits at night.

It is always pure joy to have your family stay at a VRBO that is meticulously and passionately cared for by its owner! This near-Massanutten retreat is beautifully maintained, ultra-clean, and contains any all amenities one could ever require while on vacation! My family loved this home, while using it as home base for travel to Massanutten. The owner cares! Communication is superb and we were welcomed warmly with a personal sign, setting the tone for a perfect 3 days! Awesome property. Private and close to city.

One of the best rental properties we've stayed at. There was enough room for the seven of us to not be on top of each other. The game room and fire pit area were great. We would definitely rent this property again for a family gathering.

Close to town and mtb

We had a wonderful stay! Mark was quick to respond with any questions. We were in town for a race at the western slopes which was 5 minutes away. What is also great is that this property is also 5 minutes from town. The game room was fantastic for the older kids and including a baby gate and pack & play made our stay that much better. If you’re looking for a weekend at the western slopes and outside trails this is a great option.

Another amazing stay at this great property!

Spent the weekend in this beautiful home in the Shenandoah Valley! This was our second stay at the property and we will be back! The kitchen is always well stocked and had everything we needed to cook a family dinner. The game room is a hit with the grandkids (we barely saw them all weekend). Plenty of parking since our adult children all came in different vehicles. There was not 1 issue that we had the entire time. Mark is a great communicator! If you are looking for a place in the area, this one is a MUST!

Tranquil getaway that’s minutes from town!!

Mark was an excellent host and communicator throughout our stay (& even afterwards when we left a few items behind). The property was immaculately clean and the kitchen was incredibly well supplied…above and beyond the usual pots & pans (crock pot, air fryer, and more). The game room was fabulously fun and the yard games (corn hole, basketball, football & more) were terrific. The home is located amongst tranquil rolling hills, but still under 5 miles to major grocery stores, shopping and less than 10 minutes to downtown Harrisonburg. Truly a gem of a property and a fabulous host!

I am a retired US Navy veteran with over 24 years of service to our country. I grew up and live in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. I have been married for 23 years; my wife and I have 3 children. I am a local business owner, and my wife works at JMU. We believe that the Shenandoah Valley is one of the most beautiful parts of the country. I have been a super host for over 5 years, and we are excited to be a part of the Vrbo family and look forward for guests to enjoy their friends and family in this lovely property!

This home has a country, private atmosphere but is only a few miles from all of the restaurants and shopping in Harrisonburg.
