Serene Lakes Family Cabin Retreat

3 Bedrooms, 2 1/2 Baths cabin on a quiet street just minutes away from miles of Mountain Biking, hiking, cross-country and downhill ski areas. Two blocks to Ice Lakes for swimming and kayaking recreation. Use of 3 kayaks and equipment included. Cozy-up to the wood burning stove or bask in bright sunlight of the large, southern exposed deck. Cabin includes cable TV, wireless internet and CD/DVD player. This is a great family get away cabin!!

Perfect fit for our getaway

This was our first time booking a place at Serene Lakes—the name fits this place perfectly. The home was clean, comfortable, well stocked with anything you might want and best of all so relaxing—a great fit for us. There were wonderful hiking trails nearby and the kayaking on Serene Lakes is so peaceful. Great hosts! - Esther

Better than on pictures! Lovely house!

We stayed for two nights while skiing at Boreal, which is just a quick 12-minute drive from the house. The kitchen was very well stocked (though some pans could use an update), and the bedding and furniture were both nice and comfortable. The house was warm, cozy, and extremely clean, making it the perfect place to relax after a day on the slopes. The thoughtful touches from the owners—like brownies and wine—made our stay even more enjoyable. We truly appreciated their hospitality and would happily stay here again!

Wonderful Stay

What a great and cozy cabin! My family and I enjoyed it so much, it felt like we were in our home! And the owners left us brownies and wine and popcorn and we enjoyed it all! Would for Sure stay here again.

Nice cabin in the woods

We had 6 adults and there was plenty of room for us. The home hosts had everything for us including brownies, wine, and lots of toys such as kayaks, snowshoes, and saucers. Close to many ski resorts and just around the corner from a beautiful lake. We all had a great time and are hoping to come back during the summer.

Family snow weekend

I would absolutely recommend this cabin to others! Brian made us feel welcome and communicated clearly. The cabin is well appointed, clean, and comfortable. The location is terrific: less than a mile from Soda Springs Resort, in a walkable neighborhood a short walk from the lake and from a sledding space for kids (Acorn Rd between Yuba and Cascade).

Great location!

Easy and quick access to Sugar Bowl. House was perfect for our needs and we appreciated all the little details (welcome wine and homemade brownies, hand sanitizer, Kleenex and coffee pods). Brian was easy to communicate with and very responsive.

Wonderful getaway.

The property was very clean and inviting. The special welcoming treats--wine, popcorn and brownies--was a special unexpected treat. It was a short bycycle ride to the beach and the provision of bikes and kayaks was greatly appreciated.

Perfect Cabin for Family Time in the Mountains

We had a fantastic stay! The cabin is impeccable. There was everything we needed and more for a fun and relaxing family vacation in the mountains. The house is very comfortable and thoughtfully appointed. There is easy access to amazing hiking and biking trails, and we had a great time paddling kayaks from the cabin on the lake. Couldn't have asked for more. Thank you!

The perfect holiday home

The home is spotless, spacious, very comfortable and very well appointed. The lake is very low key and beautiful — great for SUP and kayak. There are nice trails just behind the house and many wonderful hikes just a short drive away. Truckee and Donner lake are a quick jaunt for more things to do. Brian was quick to reply and provided great tips. Check in/out was smooth with a lockbox. An enjoyable stay all around!
