Romantic/Birthday Getaway

This was a very peaceful stay. The location of being right next to the pool was wonderful! The bed was super comfortable also! It is a cozy condo however but perfect for just 2 people.

Great Location

Loved the location! Stayed at Beachers last year but not poolside and right at the beach. Everything in the condo was as described in the listing and was clean & comfortable! Dog friendly restaurant s were nearby. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location

I have stayed at Beachers lodge before but not poolside. I loved the access to the pool right off the room. Could of used a really good deep clean but all in all I really enjoyed it. Bed was comfy and plenty of room to move around. Close to restaurants and the ice cream shop which we went every night! Will be back!

The location was alright,about 15 minutes from St Augustine. The condo had something’s that needed fixed like the bench and table that was poolside it was all rusted and couldn’t be sit on, the tile floor in the kitchen area was broke and the pots and pans were old and stained

Satisfaction

Stay was good, but did not like the cost to use VRBO and realestate. Never talked to a owner & cost of what we got was to high. Also did not like the cancellation policy. Sorry but will never agree to do it again.

Needs a good cleaning. Patio door lock is broken with a pole to keep it closed.

Ok to stay just a week but we stayed a month. Not enjoyable. The washer near us was broke the whole time we were there. We ended up finding a laundromat.

good for what we wanted !

It was a great place ! The pool closes at 8 PM, which is both good and bad; The air conditioners are loud, but aren't they always ? Little things like the ceiling fan chain was missing so I couldn't turn it off, the light in the fan in the bedroom was burnt out, and I had no idea how to replace it, and looked like a non-standard bulb anyway; and towels aren't included, there isn't a money changer in the laundry and being a holiday, the banks were closed so we had to make do with one set of towels for a week. Other than that, a great place to stay !

Hotel wasn’t the best

The room was nice and clean but small and the check in process was very easy. If you are looking to have a good time and be able to swim past 7pm do not stay here. This hotel has way too many rules and the pool guy was very rude. Also if you are a smoker you can’t smoke on your balcony. It was not a very inviting experience solely because of the hotel, although the room was very nice.

Just not comfortable with property

Perhaps it was the rainy night or the blinking light in the dark hallway to the room door. Perhaps it was the layout or the patio door that really needs to be replaced. Perhaps it was just us. this is a low budget set up. We chose not to stay and went to a hotel.

1990s Beach Getaway

The property was clean but does not represent like the pictures. It might help the overall appearance if they didn't include heavy blackout curtains. The curtains are required because the bedroom window is on the property walkway and the living room is on the pool. We loved the direct pool and beach access, but privacy shouldn't block out all light. The property ilooks like a 1990s spring break party condo. Repairs and a few amenities would help. Broken floor tile, broken fridge shelf, no beach towels, no potholders, no kitchen towels, no pitcher, and the worst entry/lock system we've ever had to deal with. We were surprised that a ground-floor condo had a HUGE staircase or a ramp walk up with little loading access. If you have mobility issues, this place will be difficult. Lots of paperwork with this location too.

The apartment was fine for the most part. The two AC units worked reasonably well during an extraordinarily hot and humid week. The dehumidifier in the kitchen living space worked well. We have experience using one so we knew to empty the tank which filled every 12 hours. Some instructions would be best for others who rent this apartment. An additional unit in the bedroom should also be considered. The kitchenette needs a dish drainer considering that the owner requests all dishes to be cleaned and put away, yet there was only a drain pad under the sink. No dish towels or rags provided, including no paper towels, made the task not easy so we purchased our own. There was also no additional supply of toilet paper for a week's stay. The apartment does have pool access which is ideal for a family with small children. In the future we will choose a property that is at least 2nd or 3rd floor for a better view of the beach and more privacy. Overall we made it work but it did lack some opportunities for a better experience. Thanks.

The ever flowing water

The toilet ran 24/7, no one could fix it without us not having use of a toilet. There were no other units available. There were no hotels with vacancies. Toilet lid closed, bathroom door closed, TV and air turned on……. Yep, still could here the toilet running. We were unable to sleep for 8 nights! A measly $100 refund. The people before us had to have noticed, even the cleaning crew had to have noticed. We should never have been put in a unit that had that problem. Along with the fact that we could t get in touch with anyone from Friday until Monday morning, there was no emergency contact number for nights or weekends. I sent an email Saturday and still had to all Monday morning to talk to someone about the issue. We left so that someone could come to supposedly fix the problem, when we got back, toilet still running No one called to inform us that anyone had been there, so we had to call to find out that……wait for it……the toilet will be running for the entirety of your vacation! Nope, big ol’ fat ZERO!!!! This is a high turnover low response company, with no compassion for the vacationers.

DO NOT RENT

We rented for 5 nights. Out of the 5 nights 3 the ac wall unit in the living room did NOT work, this is the area where the sofa bed is located. The wall unit in the MB had to over compensate for the other unit that didn't help at all and would stop working. We contacted Mgmt and were told someone would be out to look at the unit. Noone contacted us to notify that they had looked at the same. When I called the emergency number we were told that the unit would need to be replaced and it won't be done until after our stay. I tried calling Sandy several times once the office opened on Monday and she told me she would call me back, that never happened. I called again from a different phone number and spoke with Marty, utterly rude individual, who told us we needed to wait for them to investigate and that the unit is currently not being rented due to the building being remodeled. After all this he gave me the wrong email address for him and all. Again tried contacting them to see what resolution can be done, AGAIN DODGING my phone calls had to call from my office number for them to answer. Their solution was 1/3 reimbursement of one night's stay. They didn't care that one of us was sleeping in a room hotter than 78 at night due to their negligence. Beware if you decide to rent. We didn't even complain of the musty smell and crust carpet in the master bedroom. Would never rent from them again and will inform BBB.
