Located minutes from Hart, Shelby, Silver Lake Sand Dunes and Lake Michigan. Great fishing! Bring the family and enjoy a wonderful week in beautiful Oceana County. Sandy beach includes picnic table, small dock, raft and paddle boat! Fall rates available.

We had a great time as always! Our 3rd year at the cottage. The views cannot be beat. The water was warm, clean, and clear. The location is great for Silver Lake and Ludington! Thanks Ardith for another great vacation week!

We love staying here! Swimming is great! Close to Lake Michigan, Little Sable Light. Easy trip to Ludington for a House of Flavors ice cream

A great place to stay

The cottage was comfortable, the swimming was great! Young William, a neighbor, was friendly and very polite and helpful! We look forward to returning!

We hope to stay again one day but maybe a little later in the year. It was pretty cold for our week but we made a lot of great memories

Close to Ludington

Nice cozy cottage close to Ludington. Fishing poles, kayak, and paddle boat to use. Our boys loved fishing off the floating dock!

The place is not lavish ...but clean, nice and quiet an working with the Owner was excellent. My family an I had a wonderful time ....mostly sitting on the deck looking at the water and just talking. Well worth the cost.

Pleased

We had a wonderful stay. We were on the deck the majority of the time. We lost power one of the nights for a few hours and your wonderful neighbor came and checked on us. With all of us being in our 60’s, it was challenging to get down to the water, but a beautiful lake. The beds could use new mattress’s and the couches could be replaced but outside of that it really is a nice and cozy place with beautiful view’s. Thank-you for sharing it with us !

Beautiful views and cozy accomodations

This was our second stay and it was wonderful as always. The cottage was cozy and had everything we needed. The views from the upper and lower decks are amazing. The water was warm and crystal clear. We had a great time fishing off the dock and swimming off the diving dock. The cottage is only about 20 minutes to Silver Lake sand dunes, Little Sable Point, and Pentwater. Lots to do! Thanks again and we hope to be back next year!

The cottage was awesome. I loved the fact that it seemed like you were in the middle of no where.

I loved all of it except for no fans or air. We had two very uncomfortable nights but the other 12 were great.

Family Fun on Crystal Lake

We had a great time at the cottage! It was the perfect size for our family of 5. The lake was clear and clean. We loved the little sandy beach and the swimming dock out in the water. We spent a lot of time swimming in the lake and enjoying peace and quiet on the upper deck overlooking the lake. The views from inside the cottage are all water and it's fantastic. The cottage had everything we needed and the price was great. Thank you Ardith for your great communication as well! We can't wait to return in the future!

Simple Summer Pleasures

Our family enjoyed staying on Crystal Lake for a week in July. The sandy entry, swimming raft and dock were nice ways to be on the lake, not to mention the kayak. The deck overlooking the lake has a picnic table and a good grill; the outdoor folding chairs provided were that comfortable though. Inside the cottage is cozy and clean. All four of us were able to read using the overheard cam lights. Better lighting for reading would have been nice. We were able to cook dinners for four well enough, though more serving pieces would have helped. The location is so wonderful! We had a full week of trips to Lake Michigan, blueberry picking, dune riding, kayaking and hiking at Ludington Park. Hansen grocery in Hart has great variety and is only 7 minutes away. Communication with Ardith was great and we felt welcomed. A fun and memorable vacation.

Family Memories

Cosy, rustic property on Crystal Lake. We had a great stay! The lake was clear all around the dock. Boys enjoyed the floating dock and warm water compared to lake Michigan. We had perfect weather for a week in July. So, having no AC wasn't an issue. The fish were biting all week as well. We made due with what was there for the 4 of us. Updating on steps to boat dock would be a nice addition and a rail out the back steps. We were very disappointed in the broken paddle boat and no sail for sailboat for my boys to use all week. Also, there were not futons in cottage like listing said and both bunk bed mattresses need replaced- too thin. Boys were uncomfortable all week. Coffee pot needs replaced. Thank goodness there was a Keurig there as well. I did have to use my own hotspot for wifi. Overall, great little gem that just needs a few updates.

Thanks for your review. We plan to landscape the yard this fall. The paddle boat has been replaced. No futons were listed in the vrbo site. There are 2 comfy coaches.I will check out the mattresses in August.

Wonderful week

We had a wonderful week on Crystal Lake. The location was perfect - 15 min from just about anything. The cottage was clean and the kitchen was pretty well stocked. There were only 3 chairs at the table and four of us but it worked okay. The only downside was the weather was chilly and the location of the cottage on the lake doesn’t allow for much sun - there are a lot of trees. The walk from the cottage to the beach is really steep too. Our kids loved the floating dock and the water was lovely. Would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing week!

We had a great week relaxing at the cottage. The lake was quiet and the neighbors were all super friendly. We enjoyed going into Hart and Shelby for groceries, meals, and ice cream treats. We also took daily walks on the private road which was great. The cottage had everything we needed from fishing poles to games to kitchen supplies. Aside from the bunk bed in the basement, the furniture was comfy. Our biggest issue was the beach. It was quite difficult to get down the sloping yard as roots have torn it up. The tree coverage keeps the deck and beach area mostly shady which was a bummer since it was such cool weather. Once you are out on the dock or raft it’s incredibly peaceful and sunny but getting to and from is tricky especially if you have any mobility issues like my 79 year-old dad. We had a nice week relaxing and taking time out of our busy lives. Thanks!!
