It worked out great for us. It was nice that it was dog friendly, and so close to the Sand dunes. We were able to drive our RZR to the dunes.

If you're heading to Silver Lake, this cabin is the ideal basecamp. We are repeat guests because it’s consistently clean, simple, and perfectly located. You really can't beat the location; it’s within walking distance to town, just minutes from the dunes, and has a view of the lake. Having plenty of space to park our truck and trailer easily is a huge plus, and we always love sitting outside watching all the 'toys' rumble past. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

Location, location, location! This cottage is an easy 5-8min walk to the state park entrance for the sand dunes and right across from a boat launch and small beach. We took our two toddlers for the weekend at the end of the season and it was great. I was pleasantly surprised that there was WiFi and tv with all the streaming apps, which was nice in the evening to wind down. For short stays this cabin was great. No frills. For longer stays it would be hard with no washer/dryer (at least with kids that change clothes three times a day). Kitchen has the basics and there was even a grill and fire pit. It was raining our whole stay so we didn’t use those but I could see how nice it would be in sunny/warmer times. It was also nice that we could take a two small dogs. Nice area to take them for walks. Overall pleasantly surprised at this find.

Wonderful Cottage!

Great experience staying at this cottage! Not far from the dunes, and the cabin was very clean and organized. Would definitely stay here again!

Always a great time!

Cabin is just what you need for sleeping, fires, lakeview, and for being close to the Dunes. This was our 3rd time staying here and won't be our last. Thanks for sharing your cottage with us ... see you next year! ..

My Happy place

I have rented this cabin three times and its perfect for my annual trip to the dunes. Clean, and comfortable. Very close to the dunes with a dune view.

Super close to Silver lake sand dunes!

We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days! Its a cute little cottage that has pretty much everything you might need. The kitchen was well stocked with untenils and cook ware. The location is wonderful. So close to the sand dunes and very close to downtown. Walk across the street and there is a public boat launch for Silver lake. Has a fire pit in the front yard!

Great location and view , busy corner with all off road vehicles

Needs updating, old furniture and appliances, beds are comfy! Ran out of paper products, needed more tp and papertowel.

Great place!

This little lake cottage was perfect for our stay! Beautiful view of the lake and dunes from large windows and outdoor area. Picnic table, fire ring, and camp chairs make time outdoors easy & enjoyable. As the description says-ask about trailers because parking is a little tight but we fit with an F150 & 16ft and the neighbors had 2 full size SUVs. One of the bedrooms does not have an outlet so recommend a long cord or battery pack for overnight charging. We didn’t use the grill but it’s available along with full size frig & freezer. Everything was very clean. We had a little trouble with the door key and Lynn was there quickly to assist. You’re within walking distance to pedestrian dunes, ORV lot, Duneland, and Silverback. If you’re looking for a quaint place with a retro vibe…this is it!

Nice cottage except for the bedrooms

Location was great, and view was amazing. Cute little cottage for the most part. The only disappointing thing about the cottage was the 2 bedrooms. The rooms are VERY small, especially with a queen size bed in them -- there is barely any space on either side of the bed. No nightstand (had to bring a small end table from the living room so I had a place to put my glasses, phone, and water bottle). Not a single electrical outlet in 1 bedroom, and only one outlet in the other. Luckily, I had a battery power bank for charging my phone overnight. Beds were the worst I've ever slept in from a comfort standpoint. Sagged ih the middle, and no support.
