Perfect place!

We've stayed here many times before and will stay here again in the future. Great views, very homey, strong AC, great wifi (I worked remotely from here for a week and no problems at all, even extended video calls), perfect location and a great value for the price. One of our favorite places!

Great views of the sunrise and sunset

Condo was very spacious and clean. Large bathroom and bedroom. The bed could be comfier, however the views from this 3rd floor condo make up for it. The condo is also located next to a coffee shop/restaurant and supermarket. Property management was extremely easy to contact and prompt with responses.

It was a decent place to stay, spacious with a large balcony. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils. The balcony did face water but also had Portable potties across. Not the owners fault, but good to know if that’s a deal breaker. The place was dated with some cosmetic wear and tear, terrible lighting in the bedroom with burnt out lightbulbs. Where we were disappointed is that our towels were stained and there was a huge dust clump above our bed. I contacted the number that I was provided and they were apologetic and said they would rectify the issue and ask for a partial refund. I waited two days and kept asking them for an update. Finally I was told that the towels were dropped off at the laundry (which we were happy with after having no choice but to use the stained ones) but they were not able to clean the unit because we did not leave the key. We were not instructed at any point to leave the key. Oh and that partial refund-we never heard anything of again. Overall this was a mediocre experience. I should add that we were not being frugal on this place. So it’s not one of those “you get what you pay for” experiences.

Honeymoon Horrors

My husband and I stayed at Mara Laguna for our honeymoon on July 9, 2022 - July 16, 2022 and were extremely disappointed. Upon arrival we noticed stains on some of the towels and the hair dryer did not work. The biggest disappointment came on the second to last night when we had no running water. We had spent the day on a fishing tour and had dinner reservations and had to cancel them due to not being able to use the shower or the toilet. It was definitely a safety hazard. We called and text the Vacasa number and asked for a refund for the day or some type of compensation only to he told "it is out of our control." We were unable to shower or use any water due to a bad pump that ran to our building. Their communication was short and rude. We then called again and asked to speak with a manager, we waited on hold for 25 minutes only to be told there was not one available. They never called us back or fixed the hair dryer. The extra sheets they had in the room were stained. We found 2 live cockroaches in the kitchen. I would definitely avoid this hotel and the Vacasa website and management at all costs. We took photos and if there was a place to upload photos we would. We sent said photos to the manager and thet told us that they would "note it". They also had a washer and dryer on site, which only lead to more disappointment when we found our clothes and towels were stained with what appeared to be rust? Large brownish reddish stains on the items that were definitely not there before we decided to wash them.

Hello Luke. Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We sincerely apologize for the issues you experienced during your time with us. Please know, the outside of the units are manage by the complex HOA. While out of our control, we sincerely apologize for the negative effect the waterline pump placed on your stay. This has since been repaired by county staff. Please know all linens in the home have been replaced, as well as the hair dryer. Pest control treatment has been completed to prevent any further concerns. We hope to have the opportunity to better impress you in the future.

Great for business trip

I was heading to Ambergris alone on business. I wasn’t going to be able to enjoy the room or any of the amenities. I chose Mara Laguna because the reviews said the room was clean and there was a guard gate I was worried about being safe in my room. The condo was clean and safe. The only reason that I didn’t give it 5 stars is that it could use some updating. But that being said the bed was clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi worked. And you have views of the ocean in the front and the lagoon in the back. I would definitely stay again because you cannot beat the price.

Scenic views, private pool, and comfortable stay

My friend and I absolutely loved this suite! It was beautifully decorated, felt like home, and with a beautiful sea view at one end and a lagoon and casita view at the other. The pool was also perfectly placed for us to enjoy the quiet lagoon side of the grounds, and the pool area was built perfectly for relaxing in the water or enjoying a nice swim. The staff were very kind and helpful. Thanks to Adriana who helped to make arrangements for a gulf cart and pickup/dropoff, to check up on us to make sure that all was well, and generally just made sure our stay was very comfortable. And also to Raul who made sure our room was ready and the AC was functioning properly for our stay. Thanks to Sheldon for helping with the booking arrangements for this lovely suite. We can't wait to stay with you all again in Suite E302. ❤<3
