Spring break getaway

Warm weather gettaway

Stayed two weeks at Casa Lana. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided. We didn't use the pool but did enjoy the hottub. Great home in a quiet neighborhood, convenient location, good restaurants nearby. Would definitely stay again. good restaurants nearby.

Great stay

As described. Very comfortable and clean. Host was very responsive. Great spaces inside and outside. Shuffleboard was a great bonus. We highly recommend this house to all and would gladly stay again.

Another great stay!

Once again we had another great stay at this property. The hosts are always so great at getting back to us if we need anything. The house is on a court so it’s very quiet. Beds are comfortable. We enjoyed using the pool during the summer heat. Highly recommend.

Comfortable and well situated

This home is a spacious and well equipped getaway. We used it as a home base for work for a few days. Well situated with grocery stores and golf courses nearby, as well as mining clients of ours. Thank you for the great communication and comfort.

Nice property

The house description is accurate and very well equipped with everything you will need for a stay in Gold Canyon. We had a few issues upon arrival and the owner responded in a timely manner to address the issues. The backyard is fabulous but is in need of some TLC with the wood furniture. Overall would rent the property again.

Impressed AGAIN!!

This was our second time staying at this property. It is by far our favorite property. We have stayed at another one in the area, but this is our favorite. The house layout works out well, beds and linens are very comfortable, everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. Loved how the plugs had multiple plugs for usb. The hot tub was very relaxing. The hosts are so welcoming and get back to you right away with any questions. We will definitely be back on our next work trip.

Winter 2023

Problems with the pool heat but owner promptly refunded that cost, The only think that was not as advertised was the third bedroom is not a Queen but rather a double. We love Gold Canyon, the house was great.

Beautiful Home

The whole process was great, from being to end, communication was great and we even got to meet Dean! It’s a beautiful home in a wonderful neighborhood that has awesome Mountain View’s! We really loved the outdoor living area, it’s where we spent the majority of our time! We’re from North Dakota, so that explains why! We were there 2 weeks, the first week one of our daughters, our son-in-law, and 2 grandkids stayed with us, then week two was just my hubby and I! Grandkids loved it, we all did! Looking forward to staying there again! Thank you Dean & Figen for sharing your beautiful home with us, we truly appreciate it!

Just a perfect stay in Gold Canyon

This is as good a rental as you will see. Heated pool, hot tub on property. So many condo rentals now have pools they limit your use in. Many rentals have pools that aren't heated. Neighborhood is quiet and friendly. We went on long walks and runs - it is the perfect location - and only 15 minutes from tons of Mesa shopping. Nearby grocery and Walgreens in Gold Canyon. House has comfortable beds, excellent WiFi. Big TV. Beautiful and very large outdoor patio area. Full kitchen and laundry. It was worth every penny.

Great Location

This property is in a great neighborhood. It is quiet, private, spacious, and we felt very safe. The outdoor space is wonderful. Being so close to 60 made it easy to go just about anywhere. Property owner was easy to work with. Great stay!

Great Neighborhood, Peaceful

We had a great time. Dean was very easy to reach when we had questions. Would be helpful to have a book with information about pool, thermostats, TV’s etc. Our only disappointment was the pool we paid to heat did not work first week (Dean refunded us) and the hot tub didn’t work the last week. Enjoyed playing lots of pickleball at a nearby court.

Nice but cold easily be better

Communication with owners was good overall. Slight delay upon check-in but things happen, which is how I would normally describe the situation with arriving to a dirty pool. I let the owners know immediately when we checked in on a Saturday afternoon and was advised that a storm had just come through and it would be cleaned by the pool service on Monday but that it should be fine to enjoy for the interim. However, the pool was also very cold as it turned out there was a filtration issue which seemed to not only prevent the pool vac from cleaning but also kept warm water from getting pumped in. After being out all day on Monday and hoping to finally get to enjoy what we hoped would now be a clean pool, it seemed that nobody had ever showed. I let the owner know and they explained that a new filter would be installed on Tuesday. I asked the owner to pass my number to the service provider to know when they would be arriving for privacy sake, but that didn't seem to ever take place. Instead, somebody finally showed up randomly on Wednesday afternoon to address while my wife and I were outside. Then again somebody that addressed themselves as the "new pool cleaner" showed up unannounced on Thursday afternoon. Aside from the pool (which was the main reason for booking), the home was nice and pretty clean aside from a few cobwebs. In 2 of the bathrooms only a half roll of toilet paper was left out, so some additional would have been appreciated. It's clear there is pride of ownership by the owners, but there were many personal items sort of out in the open which kind of makes it feel like you're crashing at somebody else's house instead of on vacation. There are tons of labels everywhere around the house, but perhaps a welcome book of some sort with some basic directions would be better. For example, all the satellite receivers were offline and needed to be rebooted upon our arrival. The outdoor patio cushions had all been stashed away in a pile so we had to place the ones we were able to locate out ourselves. We also could never locate the equipment to play the shuffleboard game on the side of the house. Overall we made the best of everything as this trip was actually our honeymoon. The location is great and the surrounding area really immerses you in the desert vibe. We just couldn't help but feel things weren't living up to the beautiful properties full potential & felt that the owners could have been more apologetic for the rather big inconveniences

Not sure how to respond here!? We do take responsibility for the pool, having some debris from previous weather, and ended up terminating previous pool service provider and hiring a new one. There is a brush and net for any unwanted "debris" that eventually will find its way into an outdoor pool. We were in constant contact months before rental dates, even providing my personal cell number to the "honeymooners.'' We did have to ask about three additional guests (not on original contract), who showed up to stay several days/nights at the rental. We even left a bottle of Champagne upon their arrival, and a Congratulatory card with not so much as a "thank you." This is a home and not a hotel, no daily maid service to do things such as replace a half empty roll of toilet paper with a full one, which is located in the house and stocked well. Shuffle board equipment is in the house, but no inquiry from rentor's as to where. My cleaning service is very detailed and cob webs, unfortunately can formulate overnight Local magazines and information as to amenities are located and accessible within the site/home, but will consider a "welcome" book to include how to find full toilet paper rolls in the house and shuffle board gear. Unfortunately you are "crashing" at "my home" which we graciously provided for all generations to enjoy. This is definately a first for us, and as life teaches, there is a first for everything. Thank you

Absolutely incredible

We had planned on staying 6 days when we booked, but after arriving, we checked with Dean and we were able to extend our stay another 4 nights. The pool was wonderful. My husband enjoyed the spa. We all enjoyed the deep patio where we could hang out, watch a little tennis and just enjoy each other’s company. The backyard is an oasis complete with shuffleboard and beautiful butterflies everywhere. The house is so comfortable you feel right at home. The beds are very nice and we all enjoyed a good nights sleep. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here on each of our visits here. Thank you so much Dean for being a great host.

Wow what a retreat!!!

My husband I had some work to do out in Arizona and we selected this property to stay at for 6 nights. We brought our two senior lab dogs. The property looks even better than the photos! Super clean with ample space. We enjoyed our pool time and super quiet property as it sits on a court. The host responded very quickly and made our stay as comfortable as possible. We will definitely be back to this house when we have work out there again. Thanks again to our gracious hosts for allowing us to stay in their home. We highly recommend this home!!
