The Mountains Win Again

WELCOME TO LAKE LURE!! Our Happy Place is located inside the gates of Rumbling Bald Resort. It's the perfect place for a family vacation or golf groups. Enjoy the direct views of Bald Mountain and watch the golfers as they play along the 3rd fairway of the Bald Mountain Golf Course. Sip your coffee or cocktail on the front porch while enjoying your sunrise and sunset. The condo is newly renovated and decorated. You will have access to the resort amenities - which includes indoor/outdoor pools and lazy river, walking distance to a private beach, restaurants, fitness center and spa, tennis and basketball courts, mini-golf, hiking trails, and MUCH MORE!

The main level bedroom has 2 queen beds and a full bath (shower only) with double vanity sinks. The bedroom opens to the front porch. The upstairs bedroom includes 2 full beds and 2 twin beds on a platform. A full bathroom is directly outside of the bedroom. The bedroom opens to a private balcony that seats 2. It overlooks a fully furnished patio off the kitchen below.

Our Happy Place is a 15 min drive to the nearest grocery (Ingles). It is conveniently located 45-60 min to Asheville and Hendersonville and a short 25 min drive to Chimney Rock and Rutherfordton. It is also a 30 min drive to the FEI World Equestrian center in Tryon, NC. Enjoy hiking trails along your way and wonderful shops in the small cities of Western North Carolina.

Another great trip

We stayed at this property last year and came back again this summer. The condo was clean and comfortable. The host is wonderful! She worked with us when we had to reschedule our stay due to an illness, and she was accessible and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

A Fun Weekend!

My youngest grand daughter wanted to spend her birthday at Lake Lure with family. We had a great time. The condo is very accommodating for families with kids. It is well furnished, clean and we thoroughly enjoyed the amenities--lake, pool, lazy river--a fun time for all!

New Favorite Lake Lure Spot

I loved this place and that it was inside the resort. We were able to rent a golf cart to get around during our stay which was nice. Of all the places we have stayed in Lake Lure this is definitely my new favorite! It was very nicely decorated and updated. We will definitely be reserving this one again.

Perfect!

We loved our stay in Lake Lure! The condo was very clean and modern and had everything we needed. We were in Lake Lure for a wedding at Rumbling Bald, so we were very close to all the events. We also enjoyed the pool, pickle ball, tennis, and the mini golf. We would love to come back and stay again!

Excellent condo in a beautiful environment

The condo was beautiful, if we ever remodeled a condo, we would take inspiration from every design choice. Everything was perfect. The golf course view and the entire resort amenities make this a great place to visit. We will be back and will stay in this unit for sure.

Wonderful!

We had such a great time here! The property was super clean and perfect for our family of 4. My daughter loved the loft area upstairs. The front deck had great views and was great to sit on in the evenings. The resort was great, and we enjoyed renting paddle boards. This was a great place to come, have a great time and still keep socially distanced. We’ll be back again!

Will Definitely Stay Again!

We had the most wonderful stay! The condo was very clean and comfortable! There was plenty of room for the 4 adults and one child we were with. The beds were comfortable and there were extra blankets and towels. We had car issues while we were there so we weren’t able to leave the resort but there was plenty to do every day. We rented a golf cart to get around the resort and it was fun driving it to the pools and beach every day. We took the boat tour of Lake Lure and got pizza from Legends restaurant on the lake. A mechanic finally came out to the resort and got our car fixed the day of check out. Audra was very understanding and accommodating We made some wonderful memories and hope to return again soon!

Loved it!

This was our first time to Lake Lure and Rumbling Bald and it did not disappoint! We will definitely be back. The condo was clean and cozy and beautifully decorated. My boys ages 6 and 9 loved the bunk bed loft. The view from the front porch is amazing. It was just the peaceful getaway we needed and loved that all of the amenities we needed were onsite. So much to do without leaving the resort! Thanks for having us!

Birthday at the lake for teenage girls

We booked this particular condo because of the bunk beds that sleep 6 in the upstairs room. The teenage girls had the upstairs with their own bathroom and we had the downstairs bedroom and bath. Everything is recently updated and well decorated. When we had a question, the owner responded to my message immediately and was able to assist. We love Lake lure and now found another condo here that will be our go-to when we have a multiple people.

an easy escape

Our stay at this condo was amazing. This is the type of place you WANT to unpack your clothes and put them in the provided dressers! Audra has thought of everything, and I appreciated all the little extras/attention to detail that make a trip (that's what vacations are called when you take kids, right?) easier. It is very spacious yet an efficient use of space. The resort itself is nice with plenty for our family of four to do. We hope to return so we can do a few activities we did not get to check off our list. If you're wavering between properties, rest assured, this is the one!

Clean and Comfortable

My family of 6 stayed at “Our Happy Place” for 5 days over my sons’ winter break. The condo was clean and comfortable. The owner communicated well and in a timely fashion which made check-in and check-out easy. The beds were comfortable, and we appreciated have plenty of sleeping spaces that did not include the common areas. The kitchen served our purposes of quick and easy meals with not a lot of prep. The table and chairs in the kitchen gave us plenty of space to share our meals, as well as family board games. Multiple TVs and comfortable sitting areas allowed my sons to enjoy gaming while my husband and I enjoyed watching some of the college football bowl games. We enjoyed Chimney Rock State Park and snow tubing during our visit.

Home away from home

This was our second year renting the same location for our families vacation. It’s becoming our favorite real quick. Property is nice and well taken care of. Theres so much to do. We highly suggest checking out the gem mining, horseback riding, golf, resort massage and the lazy river. Just a few of our favorite things to do. We didn’t see a bear this year which some were sad about lol. The kids tried the resorts Adventure Day Camp and had a great time, they came back that afternoon exhausted. If your wondering if you should do it just stop and book now. You won’t regret it. Just be warned visiting will make you want to stay.

Third year in a row…

We love this area and home so much that this is our 3rd year staying here. The resort has moved the trash cans from the ground in the parking lot all the way to the front by the entrance (so you’ll have to load your trash up daily to take in). I get why as the 1st year we had a bear sighting and they want to avoid any issues with bears, but it does make it a pain to have to drive trash daily. One of our group was turning 50 so we asked if they could get cake and ice cream and decorate. They were happy to accommodate for a small fee and even provided a gift for the birthday boy which was a nice touch. This property sits on golf hole 3 so we enjoy watching the men as they play golf and are able to top off their drinks as they go by. The resort has a indoor and outdoor pool. Indoor pool has a hot tub and outdoor pool has a lazy river (Don’t bring your own floats anymore as they require you to use theirs). Always bring extra toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher tabs etc as there’s not enough on location if your staying a full week like we do. There’s a grocery store called Ingles down the road which is nice for fridge items. VISIT: The flowering Bridge, Chimney Rock State Park, Canopy Ridge Farm (zip lining and ATV), and Chimney Rock Gemstone Mine. They are all great places to do things at.

We are a OSU Buckeye loving family from OHIO!! Lake Lure has been a family vacation destination for our family for nearly 40 years. My parents started taking us to Lake Lure and now multiple generations enjoy the mountains and lake life.

We had been looking at properties for a couple of years. When Our Happy Place went on the market my mom fell in love with the views and overall location. Because our children had enjoyed summers swimming in the trout stream pool, hiking, riding golf carts, and swimming in the lake we knew this was a life long dream to make happen.

The views are amazing from our front porch. You can walk out in the mornings and just listen to the stillness. You wake to the birds chirping and on many mornings you can hear the trout stream flowing. We love the many adventures you can take and most important the memories to be made. We love Lake Lure!!
