Tropical Retreat

Hi, Tropical Retreat is better than the pictures, plenty big and updated, close to the beach, great pool and simply just a great home for a family vacation at Sea Pines in Hilton Head. We will be back for sure. Also, Jay and Linda were so responsive and while we didn't need anything and the house was perfect, they answered all of our simple questions and were perfect managers. Thanks for a great week

The Perfect Retreat at Tropical Retreat

Tropical Retreat is truly the perfect retreat house for our family's week long vacation. Everything in the detailed description as well as the posted pictures is verifiably accurate. The house was spacious allowing plenty of places for our 5 little grandchildren to sleep, play, and interact in between trips to the beach and the backyard pool. But, the overwhelming number one factor for making our stay so enjoyable and worry free is the care and attention given to us by Linda and Jay at Beachside HHI! They were phenomenal by being quick to respond and making sure we were informed and prepared with all the details we needed from booking all the way to departure. The guest portal is loaded with all the information one would need from the beginning to the end of one's stay. They are excellent communicators and were very attuned to any detail, question or concern we had. We truly had a 5-star experience!

WONDERFUL: our hosts (Linda and Jay), the house, the pool + hot tub!

Our scattered family gathered for the first time in years and had the time of our lives! The home was beautiful, comfortable, homey, etc. etc. etc.‼️ The time I spent in the pool with my grandkids, ages 5 and 2 1/2 will stay with me forever. The camaraderie that we shared due to the many areas where we could chat in small groups was delightful. A short walk to the gorgeous, wide beach was the icing on the cake. 🤗 We'll definitely be back‼️

The house was perfect for our porpoise. 8 adults and one toddler. Each couple has their own room and bathroom. The multiple common spaces and screened in patio made this perfect for our family vacation. We were just a short walk from the beach and convenient to other activities.

Enjoyed our stay

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. A few areas of the home were needing slight updating but they did have many small fun touches we really enjoyed. We would stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tropical Retreat! With the upstairs and downstairs set-up, it’s ideal for two families, and worked well for our young adults to take over the downstairs. The home is beautiful, well appointed and super clean! The beach path is quick and easy right off the pool. Super Great experience and we plan to rent from Beachside HHI again!

Great visit

We had a wonderful visit at this property. You cannot beat the location and the floor plan was perfect for our group. The few suggestions I would add is simply: new mattresses and the pool needs treated (even in the winter). We would absolutely stay at this property again.

Next time please let us know any about concerns related to water quality during your stay so we can address them during your visit. Perfect stay in a perfect location

The house was spotless and comfortable, we especially enjoyed the layout of the open kitchen and living room. It’s a very short walk to the beach and the neighborhood was quiet and friendly. Communications were easy and quickly responded to. Highly recommend.

Nice spot

We enjoyed our stay. The house is nicely decorated and set up perfectly for two families. The location is great and an easy walk to the beach. The only big con is the bugs (and bites) around the pool - especially because it didn’t get much sun.

Our favorite stay at HHI yet!

Property was fantastic for my family plus extended family. close proximity to the beach made it easy to lug gear to/from, not any further than the beachfront condos we've stayed at in the past - with no elevators or stairs. and the heated pool / hot tub made the difference for cooler temps off season. Plenty of space and well appointed interior.

Family Vacation

Awesome property, very clean, well stocked with towels and kitchen amenities. Great layout with two separate living areas and master bedrooms which is great if traveling with two separate families or in laws. Pool was perfect for the kids and the proximity to the beach cannot be beat. We will be back for sure. Jay and Linda thought of everything and are very easy to get in touch with

Wonderful Location & Home in Sea Pines

Great communication and interaction with Linda & Jay in securing this lovely property! There was plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 kiddos including two teens and so much to do! This part of the beach was perfect with few people and no crowds. The house was thoughtfully furnished with a kitchen that lacked nothing and they even had products in the bath, laundry room, and kitchen. We enjoyed this home so much and look forward to a return trip!

Missouri Review

Loved the location. Nice kitchen and living areas. We appreciated having a few chairs available for the beach. We played kick ball lots of nights on the beach. We appreciate the non smoking rule. Will definitely want to come back. Also, very nice neighbor that lives next door! Her and her daughter are adorable!

Spectacular, Location, cleanliness, thoughtfulness

We were looking forward to going to Hilton head and staying at the Tropical Retreat. It is three houses from the beach, a very short walk. In the days prior to our arrival the Management company and the owners sent us information on what to expect, what to do all of which made our arrival smooth. We entered the house and were in AWE, whoa, wow! Closer inspection raised our bar more. Cleanliness is an understatement. When I say thoughtfulness, the presentation of towels on the beds, and all the little things you forget like detergent. They checked in with us a couple of times and my nephew texted for help with the tub not draining and a maintenance person arrived within an hour. My nephew failed to pull up the plug to the bathtub to drain. The kitchen, is modern and has every feature you could possible want. Open plan living room made family time great. Pool was nice. Washer dryer are modern. TV's are abundant. We would have no hesitation returning! Thank you

Great experience at Tropical Retreat

We really loved the property. It was convenient to the beach and very well laid out, well finished, and plenty of bedrooms. Unfortunately, lightning struck the house on Monday afternoon during a thunderstorm. This caused serious damage to the dishwasher, wifi, cable, water lines, pool, and the house itself. The fire dept. even came out to check the situation. Jay and Linda went way above what we expected to make sure everything was repaired as much as possible. They even stayed very late on Monday night to repair a water line which affected our house and 3 other houses nearby. We were amazed that they could repair this, especially at night. This saved the trip since we thought we might have to move to another location due to no water. They, also, made arrangements to get an electrician out the next morning to check everything. They replaced the dishwasher and got the cable provider to come and repair the cable and wifi. Jay stayed with us until everything was repaired. We were very impressed with the extra effort that Jay and Linda made to get things back to normal as much as possible. They truly are outstanding people and great representatives of VRBO, Sea Pines, and Hilton Head. They made what could have been a disaster for our vacation into a wonderful experience in seeing what great customer service actually can be.

It is a beautifully decorated house about a block from the beach. Beds are very comfortable and there was plenty of room for our extended family of 10 people. We hope to be back again.
