This is a lovely oceanfront vacation home with breathtaking views of Barnstable Harbor, Sandy Neck and Cape Cod Bay. This totally renovated perfect summer rental is steps away from your own private beach. Inside is a very spacious open great room on the first floor with sliders opening to a large comfortable deck with dining area and gas grill. Enjoy après beach cocktails on the deck at the end of a perfect summer day while the sun sets over the harbor. Or stroll to nearby shops and restaurants in Barnstable Village. Sat to Sat.

Two large bedrooms (sharing a spacious balcony) and one smaller upstairs bedroom plus a shared full bath make the sleeping area completely private from any living area or entertaining. Eight or more guests can sleep comfortably here. A light and airy kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops downstairs, a half bath powder room plus an outdoor shower comfortably complete the living quarters. A large breakfast bar with granite top and built in wine cooler make meals and entertaining easy and late night cards and puzzles very comfortable.

This clean, well-cared for property complete with central A/C is a vacation dream come true.

We had a blast and loved this property & location. The only negative comment we have is it doesn't have a set of stairs to the water. It's beautiful, well stocked, clean and airy, and has plenty of things to keep you busy.

Great view

This is a fun house in which to spend our vacation. We loved the view and had the best weather! Sally was very friendly and she and Diana were easily accessible. All in all, a fabulous 2 weeks on the Cape! Angie

A wonderful, much needed get away

Working with Sally was wonderful. We had never used VRBO before and her beach house was the perfect place for our family of 4. Beautiful view, excellent location and extremely clean. Our boys loved playing in the tide pools and searching for crabs. The hot tub was amazing to relax in each evening and watch the sunset. We hope to return next summer!

Lovely Home, Gorgeous View, Great Location, Superb Hostess

Our family of four stayed at Camino del Sol for 10 nights. This place is fantastic. The house is in great condition, stocked with all the essentials and comfy beds. We had a few questions for Sally. She always replied immediately and was eager to help make our stay the best possible. For example, we asked if there was an additional fan for use as it was a bit sticky one eve; Sally was at the door step with a fan in about 30 minutes fulfilling our wish. One can tell that Sally has put lots of thought into furnishing and stocking Camino del Sol. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood right near Barnstable Harbor which makes catching the whale watching excursion that departs from the harbor a short, convenient 10 minute walk. A handful of restaurants, coffee shop, and a well-stocked local market all within a 5-minute drive. We loved the mid-Cape location — one hour to Boston, one hour to Provincetown and lots of local beaches in between to explore. Lovely water view, nice sandy beach, gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, fun marine life to explore, and much more.

beautiful and relaxing, kid-friendly, in a quiet neighborhood

We had a wonderful week at the Cape staying at this home! Cool breezes from the harbor, tidal area that is great for little kids to explore and wade (pay attention to the tide tables!), and walking distance along the beach or the quiet street to restaurants with outdoor seating and great takeout options (fun and also still important for us, with unvaccinated little kids).

Beautiful place, gorgeous location.

This is an absolutely gorgeous property. Apart from the stunning view of the water just beyond the porch, the house is located in one of the most charming towns in the mid-Cape region. It is spotlessly clean, well-furnished, and equipped with everything you might need. There is a jacuzzi which is a bit difficult to figure out, but once you do, it is really worth it. The owner is very kind and responsive, and flexible on things like check out time. There are a few minor teething pains because she is a new owner, and thus not yet as familiar with the place, and she does not live near the property, but this caused us no major problems (we couldn't get the heating to work upstairs, for instance, and as she was not close she couldn't help, but really it was not a big deal). This might affect those travelers who would prefer to have a more personal interaction with the owner and be shown around the house in person before settling in. But this was not an issue for us, and she was quick to respond to our questions on text/email. The only negative, and this is not about the property itself, and perhaps this is the case for all VRBO listings, is that the difference between the advertised daily rental price and the actual price we paid is significant, so do be careful to note - and add - all the additional fees before finalizing your payment. In our case the additional fees, which we had not paid attention to, changed our daily price significantly (by 40%), and I think it would have been better if the property could be listed with a total overall price, including taxes and all other fees. Other than that, the place is really perfect, and well worth the splurge if you can afford it.

Couldn’t have a better spot

The title says it all. 20 feet from a small sandy beach at high tide, endless sandbars at low tide. Perfect for the two of us and two nights with our daughter joining in.

Convenient location to tour all of Cape Cod

What a super home base for the Cape Cod area. If you don't want to tour that day, it provides a comfortable environment, amazing view, useable water front and a nice neighborhood to walk in. Plenty of assorted lawn chairs, paddle/bogie boards and beach towels. Comfortable bed and new linens. The kitchen was outfitted with every dish we needed to prepare meals. Loved the Berkie, what a waste reducer. Super clean house, including the windows and responsive owner. What a treat to find. Loved our stay on Cape Cod.

Peaceful and Perfect

We just returned yesterday from the most wonderful week on Sunset Lane! The house was very clean and well equipped. The location was heavenly...so private with only the people from the houses on either side on the beach. The sunsets are soooooooo beautiful! We walked to get coffee, go to dinner, get ice cream, and do a little shopping...Barnstable Village is awesome! Sally was the perfect hostess and we thank you so much for making our coronacation so blissful. My 1st FB post was "To think I was disappointed that I wasn't getting on a plane or ship!" Can't wait to go back! ~Connie and Gary

Incredible views

This was the perfect place to quarantine in, and get out of Boston for a few days. Great views and sunsets. The hot tub was so relaxing. Very quiet neighborhood - a great place to unwind. Communication with the host Sally was a 10 out of 10; we felt like we were speaking with a human, not a Vrbo robot. More than once, Sally went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Great place for 1-2 couples or a family. Could not rate this high enough!

Beautiful home in fantastic location!

Dennis was very kind and met us, at our convenience, and gave us a tour of the home and explained everything. It's a lovely home... even lovelier than photos showed. Location is beautiful right on the water. We were there during a nor'easter though, so we didn't quite get to enjoy the outdoors. That being said, it was comfy inside and we enjoyed the gas fireplace. It's a great home, with all we needed and I'd stay there again! The one thing that surprised me was right near the end of booking, I had to choose between a mandatory pricey insurance policy or a very big deposit. 🤷Hadn't seen that before. Oh well.

The pictures online did not come close to the actual beauty of the views from this property. The sunsets this time of year are spectacular. This house is perfect for a family of 4 or a couple wanting to enjoy this beautiful part of the world! Thank you Dennis!

Mixed feelings

The positives are that it was a great site a good view a nice place to get away and relax and forget about your problems. The negative side: the twin beds in the room were much too high for me and I am tall 5‘8“ and I still needed a stool to get up on the bed The barstools were also too high we all had a hard time getting up on them and eating or playing cards or games at the counter wasn’t very comfortable. And while I’m on the negative side the couch and the chairs were not the most comfortable either. So the house in the view and the location was great it’s just the inside things I mentioned that we learned to live with

Perfect family vacation

I can't say enough good things about this house. The location is perfect - the view is spectacular, it's an easy walk to restaurants, and a beautiful run or bike ride into town (only a mile away). We woke up every morning to a breeze coming in from the sliding doors, with a view of the sunrise over the water complemented by an American flag blowing in the wind. We spent our days reading while the kids played on the beach. And evenings were spent in the hot tub on the deck; what a luxury. The property owner has thought of everything. From conveniently located beach towels, to K-Cups and laundry detergent. And the beds are really, really comfy. We'd rent this property again in a heart beat.

Wonderful home, wonderful location

This house was perfect for our family of four while we visited family in Barnstable. The views are incredible. Everything that Barnstable has to offer is within easy walking distance. The home is very well-equipped, and Dennis is super responsive and easy to deal with. We can't wait to rent it again next year.

Our favorite place!

This was our third trip to the Cape and our second stay at this property. Dennis is lovely, has kept the place in great condition, and the views and location just can’t be beat. My kids had their own beds in a guest room and we had our own big bed, which goes a long way towards a good family vacation! The whole House is nice and clean and dry, we used the laundry and dishwasher without a problem. We had our family staying at a house a few doors down and their house was a serious letdown, so they came over every day and got to enjoy things a bit more. We love coming back, we look forward to next year!

Beautiful house on Barnstable Harbor

This was the second time our family of four has stayed at this house. It is fantastic. The house itself is very comfortable and has everything you might need, but of course the big draw here is the location directly on Barnstable Harbor. Walk out the back door and you are on the beach - perfect for swimming and beach combing at low tide. The lobster shack (Osterville Fish Too) and Mattakeese Wharf restaurant are a short walk at the Barnstable Marina, and Barnstable Village is very close with a great coffee shop, ice cream shop, and a market. Also, Dennis the owner is very kind and responsive and overall a great host. We can't wait to return for a third visit.

Great home in an amazing location!

We're a family of 3 and truly enjoyed our relaxing stay at this Barnstable property. The home is situated in a quite neighborhood directly on the water. It has the benefit of being close to all that Hyannis has to offer, but in a serene and quiet location -- great for relaxing and decompressing! There are two great little restaurants down the road on the water, plus a cool little coffee shop and general store a very short distance away in downtown. Nothing beats walking steps to the beach, or sitting on the deck and watching boats pass by. Amazing sunrise views in the mornings and sunsets in the evenings. My 4-year-old absolutely loved exploring tide pools and running down the beach when the tide went out! The house itself was VERY comfortable for our family. Sleeping arrangements are very comfortable, and waking up to the sound of the water and that beautiful view was more than I could ask for. Dennis provides everything you could need in the home (i.e. linens, towels, beach chairs, etc.), as well as a bunch of extra little touches that just make traveling to a vacation home that much more stress free. Dennis was quite pleasant, extremely responsive and very helpful. With respect to opportunities for improvement - and this is just me searching for something - the living room couch and chairs could probably use replacing at some point in the near future. But again, that is most definitely not a deal breaker. Overall, this is a wonderful property in an amazing location with a fantastic property owner. I'd highly recommend this home to anyone and hope that we can get back there at some point soon! Thank you, Dennis!

Best Vacation Ever

This house was perfect for my husband, daughter and I. The views are to die for. I have never seen sunsets like the ones we saw while on our vacation at this house. After the sun goes down the stars are in full view. The house is great and clean. We loved using the hot tub at night. We will definitely rent again!!!!

Loved this property. It has everything you would ever need and Dennis the owner was great! Really if you are heading to the cape stay here. The view, the home, the area all perfect. The king bed is one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in! We'll be back!

Sally is a citizen activist, earth conservator, visionary, human potential coach and leader, philanthropist, teacher and mother along side of being an experienced home owner.

Sally has devoted her life to helping others reach their highest potential. Whether working as a handwork teacher, school board chair or serving as a leadership coach to entrepreneurs, Sally brings a wealth of compassion and life experience to every task she takes on. A native Cape Codder, born with sand in her shoes, Sally’s personal and professional trajectories have spanned the fields of hollywood, global education, ngo development, recovery, culinary arts, environmental activism, and health and wellness coaching. She is passionate about saving the North Atlantic Right Whale from extinction.

A graduate of Barnard College ‘85 with a masters in art education, Sally went on to study cooking at the French Culinary Institute, where she graduated with distinction. She worked for Ina Garten, "the Barefoot Contessa", at the East Hampton eatery as well as participating in the startup of Nick and Toni’s; both pioneers in the farm to table movement, while Nick and Toni's is listed in 1000 Places to See Before you Die.

Working to support and empower so many nonprofit leaders over the years kindled Sally’s interest in formal study of human potential. She has trained extensively and is a certified life, leadership and human potential coach. She trained with the renowned organizations CTI and Bulletproof becoming ICF certified. Sally’s deep-seated belief that the health of the environment hinges on the health of the activist has led to her private practice near her home on Cape Cod.

When Sally is not out helping make the world the best it can be, she is ensconced in the home she designed for herself and her daughter, surrounded by family and friends, her many art projects and her two Siamese cats, Violet and Lulu. Her daughter Morgan is off exploring our magnificent world away from home now.
