Amazing place! The inside is so much bigger than I thought. The creek was fun to float. We found a good rock and just tied our floats on. If I could change one thing I would put an awning or screened porch somewhere over one of the patios so it’s easier to sit outside. My only complaint was the trash was still full when we got there so we had to improvise. The propane grill is also on its last leg.

Host was very welcoming and accommodating, being in a rural area directions provided made finding location easy, it was easy to get ahold of the host when issues arose. House had everything provided so you can relax and enjoy a nice weekend in the woods getaway, without over packing.

This property kind of broke our hearts when we pulled up to it. The outside was not cleaned up- algae growing on siding, one side of the house had melted siding and missing pieces, debris in the yard and the back porch area had dirty lounge cousins on lounges. The inside of the house is as nice as the pictures. The floors are very dirty so I would recommend wearing shoes in the house.

Upon arrival it was apparent cleaning never happened. Bed's weren't made and towels and bed linens piled in laundry room. Host contacted and he was aghast. A cleaner came within a couple of hours and took care of things. Stuff happens, I get that, host was responsive and fixed the issue but the issue would never have happened if the unit was inspected by host or his agent prior to occupancy as many VRBO owners do. Inside unit was OK but not great. TV non functional tho on laptops internet speed not an issue. Heat not dependable w E6 and E7 error codes on split sets. Ceiling in TV room caving in. Outdoor propane grill non functional with all burners rusted out causing a late night trip back to the store to get charcoal for the non propane grill. Patio door handle came off in your hand w attempted use, we got locked out of that door. Nice pool table but only one stick had a head on it. Couch near pool table missing a leg. Unit in a great setting but outside poorly maintained. Plants growing in gutters, grass too long for a comfortable walk. Siding covered in algae growth. It was acceptable for 4 guys on a fishing trip (not at the unit) but I know my wife would not enter it looking at the poorly maintained outside. A simple power wash and weed whacking and mowing the lawn would go a long way to improve exterior.

What a fun Penn State football weekend with our grown kids! The sound of the creek rushing by was delightful and very calming. The fire pit and large lawn was a plus.The large family room and kitchen was very inviting and a fun atmosphere.

Comfy Thanksgiving home away from home

Cozy cabin, family fun

The cabin was great. Cozy, but spacious. Clean, easy going, friendly host. We had a very fun time playing billiards, taking a quick hike. And easy commute to Penn State. The view of the creek, with the sun shining through made for an ideal stay in nature.

I come to Spruce Creek each year bringing a group of friends to fish. This house is ideal. Great kitchen, great recreation room and beds and bedrooms are really comfortable.

Really nice place. Perfect for a large family gathering. Stayed there with our family for the PSU vs MD game. Convenient drive to football tailgating lots on north side of Beaver Stadium.
