Relax with a cup of coffee taking in the 2nd floor view of the North Fork of Shoshone river valley on your large private deck.

This is a quiet, 2nd floor chalet on a private road next to the Shoshone River. The first floor is the laundry access, not a second rental. The chalet is optimally positioned between the town of Cody and the East Entrance into Yellowstone National Park. Cody is 24 miles east, while Yellowstone is 29.6 miles west.

Activities in the area include trail rides, hiking, rafting, and plenty of open spaces for other outdoor activities like fishing, wildlife viewing and of course rest & relaxation.

We loved this rental. It was clean, comfortable, as described, included a lot of little extras that made it feel like home, and very reasonably priced. The location can't be beat. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Excellent Accommodations

The hosts thought of, and provided everything a family could need when exploring Yellowstone and the surrounding area. This was a great place to stay!

Nice stay

Overall a very nice place to lay your head at night. Host thought of all the little extras that made it feel like home. Very private and quiet.

Fabulous stay!

Our family of five thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this Wapiti home. It was the perfect oasis for us to return to after long days in the car touring Yellowstone. Highly recommend!

Family get away

Very nice kitchen well stocked and bedrooms tidy and comfortable close to Yellowstone. but no working shower or tub.

Hello Carol. We’re terribly sorry about your experience with the shower. We wish you would have contacted us at the time so we could have cleared this up. The shower functions perfectly as we’ve shared in pictures (by separate message). That model shower requires pulling down on the lower ring to activate the shower head.

Perfect for families

Pleased with cleanliness, games for kids and families, dishes available for use, and fresh eggs. Was a great place for my family! Close to Yellowstone!

Great stay

This is a great location between Cody and Yellowstone with short, scenic drives to both. There is a little gas station just outside of the neighborhood on the main road, which is very handy. I’ve already recommended this place to friends and family.

Great use of space above a garage. Perfect for larger families. Living room and kitchen are small but guests are not likely looking to spend a lot of time inside in a trip to this area. Instead the layout focused on lots of sleeping space. This was perfect for us. One large bedroom with a king and another with a queen plus a twin over full bunk. Close enough to go into Cody for any needs but a little closer to Yellowstone. The drive into the park is a little long but it is a good drive and feels like you’re in the park most of the drive in. It also takes you into the park at the east entrance which has much smaller lines so time in the car could be about the same when you consider the lines at the west entrance.

Great stay!

It was in a great location. If you are looking for a place that’s quiet and not to far from Cody and Yellowstone. There is a state access point to the Shoshoni River just down the street. The beds were comfortable. The household items that were provided were appreciated. It’s a great place to watch the stars.

Dream vacation

Location is ideal. Halfway between Yellowstone and Cody. We had some issues with the property, but Nicole and her husband were extremely quick and resolving them. They have it equipped extremely well for long stays including basics needed.

Yellowstone trip with Grandkids

Truly the best VRBO experience we've ever had! The location is peaceful, yet close enough to Yellowstone and Cody that we had tons to do. The apartment was very comfortable and well appointed. We slept 5 (3 adults, 2 kids) easily. The hosts thought of everything we might need on our stay. We felt like we were staying at a friend's house!

The location was ok for going to Yellowstone. It was farther than I expected from Cody. Did not enjoy the rooster crowing next to the deck.

Lovely Stay

We had a lovely stay in Wapiti. The owners are extremely thoughtful - many extras were provided. We loved the tea and honey selection as well as the oatmeal cups. Beds were comfortable and the space was just what we needed. We appreciated the proximity to both Cody and Yellowstone as we needed a mechanic after hitting debris on the highway - luckily the problems were minor. We did have a little trouble getting our clothes dry - the dryer would stop as though finished, but the clothes were still quite damp - the timed dry setting helped with that. We would stay here again, for sure!

On way to Yellowstone

The apt was very well furnished in every way. I would have enjoyed a softer pillow. The pictures in the advertising made it look like it was a stand-alone house--not upstairs over a garage which wasn't great for senior citizens. The password posted for internet connection didn't work and there was no phone number to check with the owner.

3 Generations of Girls

The property was more than expected. The location and views were stunning. There was enough room for the 5 of us to not feel we were on top of each other. There is a nice walk down to the boat launch and the deer are usually resting there in the morning and afternoon. The only thing I would make sure to point out in the description of the property is that there is no oven. But we were able to bake on the grill to complete casserole.

The plan was to install either a full size oven below the grill or a smaller countertop. I'd love to offer a great excuse why that wasn't yet installed, but I don't have one. A nice place to stay

The unit was more than adequate and located in a quiet, beautiful place. For the most part it was very clean, but someone had missed the drawers in the bedroom. I found a dead fly and some grit. There was a room AC in the kitchen, but it wasn't enough to cool down the whole unit. Fans were provided and we opened the windows, but the early morning light and clacking of the window blinds were a trade-off to the heat, and the unit was still warm. I would suggest providing another small table and 2 chairs for the deck, as we needed to bring out the stools each meal. The kitchen had a a good supply of dishes and cooking items for our meals. I would stay here again and recommend it to others. Thank you for your hospitality.
