Located just steps away from beautiful downtown Sweetwater Tn. this 1882 gorgeous original carriage house has charm and history. In 1908 it became a the public library for almost sixty years and then became a beautiful home. Located close to hwy 75 Downtown Sweetwater has lots of Antique shops, boutiques, and great restaurants. Our home has been completely updated with all the amenities you would wish for. Close to Knoxville and Chattanoga with so much to do in East Tennessee..

This property was better than advertised. Definitely a nice gem right in the middle of Sweetwater. The house and accommodations exceeded expectations!

Perfection!

What an absolutely perfect weekend getaway! Communication with our host was a breeze and we were thankful for an early check in so we could get settled in before the snow. The Carriage House was cozy, clean, and the beds were the most comfortable beds ever! We’re already making plans to visit again.

Rooming and Nostalgic

Great spot outside of Knoxville for our stay. Great location. Really cool interior. Very roomy. Had everything we needed for our stay. Jamie, our host was excellent on communication.

Carriage House Character

The Carriage House was an absolutely charming delight. Everything was quite clean and cozy. Both beds were comfortable and the bathroom had an easy to access walk-in shower. The convenience to downtown Sweetwater was an added bonus. We were in town for a wedding at Tellico Village and this home placed us close enough that we only had a 20-25 minute drive. The lodging / accommodations were exceeded only by the gracious and timely communication from the property owner. He was so helpful and readily available if I had questions about anything. I would absolutely recommend The Carriage House.

Wonderful stay

Went for a girls weekend in Sweetwater. The house was awesome and within walking distance of downtown shopping. Will stay again!

Charming Small town and home

This is a charming older home decorated with beautiful antiques in the nicest little town! Walking distance to Main Street that has lots of shops, restaurants and a lovely coffee shop!! Would highly recommend this property and town! The property owner was very nice and kept in touch to make sure if we needed anything. Would definitely stay at this lovely home again!!

80th Birthday Surprise Vacation

We had a wonderful stay. The house was beautiful. The pictures don't do it justice. The area was quiet and safe. The town is quaint and the ships were walking distance from the house.

Sweetwater Downtown

We were in town to visit a friend. The Carriage House was conveniently located, safe and VERY CUTE. It felt like having your own, very comfortable and well appointed, house.

Delightful stay in a charming historical cottsge

My husband I I loved The Carriage House. A lovely, quiet, and comfortable home in a charming small town setting. (We felt we were in a Hallmark movie.) Our host went above and beyond to make us welcome.

Great place to stay in Sweetwater

The Carriage House has so much character! Built in the 1880’s and furnished with beautiful antiques. But that is not the only thing that makes it a great place to stay, it is also conveniently located to downtown Sweetwater. Only two blocks from Main Street, we could walk to popular restaurants and stores. We were there for a wedding at Castleton Farms in Loudon, Tennessee which was only a 20 minute drive. Our host responded quickly to our inquires and was very helpful when we were planning our stay. For us, the Carriage House was the perfect place to stay in Sweetwater.

Sweet Stay in Sweetwater

My husband and I have been researching places to possibly retire. This lovely historic home in town was a perfect home base for travel in the area. It was like a home away from home. We walked everywhere. The town is adorable and the people friendly. Plus day drive distance to Knoxville and Chattanooga. We would definitely stay again.

Awesome Carriage House

This was a wonderful place to stay. It was once a carriage house then became a library. Now a home. Beautiful antiques inside. The town was cute. Lots of antique stores and delicious restaurants. Our host was accommodating and friendly. Very welcoming! We will stay again and recommend.
