Located just steps away from beautiful downtown Sweetwater Tn. this 1882 gorgeous original carriage house has charm and history. In 1908 it became a the public library for almost sixty years and then became a beautiful home. Located close to hwy 75 Downtown Sweetwater has lots of Antique shops, boutiques, and great restaurants. Our home has been completely updated with all the amenities you would wish for. Close to Knoxville and Chattanoga with so much to do in East Tennessee..

We had a fantastic experience. The property was in a great location- walking distance to downtown and just a few minutes drive to other Sweetwater experiences.The host was incredibly welcoming and provided great suggestions for the area.

Clean, cool & comfortable, centrally located & very quiet! Beautifully decorated, rooms were just as they appeared on the website- no misrepresentations! Our host was wonderfully responsive when we had questions which made our stay all the more enjoyable.

Carriage House

We loved the property because it was quaint and unique. It had many touches that made it seem old fashioned with a modern touch. It had an old style dining room buffet as the bathroom sink paired with a modern shower. It also had original wood flooring and original glass in the front windows. We loved it; it made us feel like we were home.

Quaint and relaxing

Wonderful place to stay in Sweetwater. Communication and directions were clear and timely. The house is clean and decorated in a way that captures its historic charm. We loved it!

This property was better than advertised. Definitely a nice gem right in the middle of Sweetwater. The house and accommodations exceeded expectations!

Perfection!

What an absolutely perfect weekend getaway! Communication with our host was a breeze and we were thankful for an early check in so we could get settled in before the snow. The Carriage House was cozy, clean, and the beds were the most comfortable beds ever! We’re already making plans to visit again.

Great spot outside of Knoxville for our stay. Great location. Really cool interior. Very roomy. Had everything we needed for our stay. Jamie, our host was excellent on communication.

Carriage House Character

The Carriage House was an absolutely charming delight. Everything was quite clean and cozy. Both beds were comfortable and the bathroom had an easy to access walk-in shower. The convenience to downtown Sweetwater was an added bonus. We were in town for a wedding at Tellico Village and this home placed us close enough that we only had a 20-25 minute drive. The lodging / accommodations were exceeded only by the gracious and timely communication from the property owner. He was so helpful and readily available if I had questions about anything. I would absolutely recommend The Carriage House.
